Dolbryn is a fantastic site to visit with any age children. Bev, Dave and the rest of the family are very helpful and are always thinking of new ways to entertain the children. My two children aged 6 and 3 always enjoy the sticky club and all the other activities that they set up. The site is very clean and there is plenty of hot water.

It is in a lovely location with plenty to see and do. Highly recommend looking for dolphins in Newquay (I haven't seen them yet but my parents have many times). I will be going back again this year at least twice.

We (2 adults, 2 kids) booked to go to Dolbryn after reading so many positive reviews on here. We weren't disappointed.

We stayed for 4 nights on a EHU pitch in the Pines field, near to the kids playground. The pitches were well spaced and level, and were occupied by a fairly even mix of caravans and tents (plus some free range ducks!)

Even though it was a bank holiday weekend and the site was full, it was never too noisy and everyone respected the 'quiet by 10.30pm' rule.

The bar, 'teen room', shower block, toilets and laundry are all set back from the camping fields. All the facilites are 'rustic' (converted barns/outbuildings) but are kept very clean. The adventure playground was lovely and housed a good range of play equipment, trampoline, sandpit and various animals!

Quiz nights, bingo, and kids activities all run at the weekends (high season) but you do not feel obliged to take part, if you don't want to.

The owners are very friendly, helpful, and great with children, which really makes a difference compared to other sites we have stayed on.

Dolbryn has a very rural location, off a small country lane (no road noise). Newcastle Emlyn is about a 2-3 mile drive away and has a couple of small supermarkets, a few pubs, a ruined castle and a great ice cream shop! Cardigan is about 10 miles away, and is a nice town to visit. There is a big Tesco on the outskirts, if you can't find what you need in Newcastle Emlyn. Poppit sands just outside Cardigan, has a fantastic, huge sandy beach.

All in all, a lovely site, in a great location.

This has to be the best site we have visited in the last 4 years.  The owners, Bev and Dave are wonderful and they deserve to do well, they could teach some of the major players a thing or two about customer service.

The facilities are lovely plenty of hot water, very clean toilets and showers.

Our children loved the site from feeding the rabbits in the morning, to evening visits to the Teen Room (they are 7 and 9) but this is not Butlins so if you like big scale entertainment, look somewhere else.

The area is beautiful, but not hugely geared up for poor weather tourism, the National Wool Museum is worth a visit, plenty of hands-on for youngish children and it is free.

There are loads of pubs serving food although we seemed to spend most of our time at The Nag's Head at Abercych, excellent food and a micro brewery too.

Beaches at Mwnt and Poppit Sands are perfect for families - about 30 minutes drive away. Oh and try the Butterfly Centre near Mwnt - the owner is very interesting and the leaf-cutter ants are hypnotic.

We'll be back!

The site its self was brilliant and Dave and Bev were very helpful
And entertaining in the bar.
The only down side was the weather but we did manage to see the dolphins off New Quay. We also had a good day at Saundersfoot. Again a very clean and well run site great for dog owners and families.
Newcastle Emlyn is a nice clean and interesting little town with more than enough shops places of interest. The area is great for touring. We will definitely book again and next time bring all the family.

Just coming back from Dolbryn after 2 weeks of sheer bliss. We could not recommend it enough. Our 5 children, all under 10, had an amazing time and so did we.

There are 2 main fields, very well looked after, one near the playgound, the 'pines', and the other one, 'the lakes', by the pond (safely enclosed) and facing the vineyard.
We stayed in the pines and loved having the playground and animals closeby, while couples and older people enjoyed the more 'peaceful' lakes. The whole site is unbelievably friendly, quiet and serene. The call of the red kite was amazing. Nature is definitely at its best at Dolbryn. One couldn't wait enough for night time, when the little barn converted into a friendly and cosy pub and teen room, where everyone calmly gathered to tell about their day and share a drink and/or boardgame, the bingo night was particularly popular! All in all it was perfect, the weather was great, the surrounding area was full of interesting things to do, whatever the weather, all with a very continental feel.
The cleanliness at the camp was beyond this world. Bev and Dave devote every minute of their day to making sure you feel comfortable and happy, and we could not thank them enough for the wonderful time we have had at Dolbryn. We will definitely be back!

A nice spacious site with very friendly and helpful owners.  The facilities were very clean and the children loved the animals and the fishing lake.  There is an on site bar but we did not use this. There is a fairly steep road both up to and into the site so be cautious if your caravan is not matched very well to your car. The surrounding area is lovely with fantastic beaches.  Enjoyed toboganning at Llagranagogg dry slope and canoeing at Cardigan.

I have just returned from this campsite and I can honestly say it is one of the best campsites I have stayed at.
The toilets and showers are immaculate and they always had fresh flowers placed in them.
The size of the pitches were much bigger than other sites I have stayed at and we couldn't have been better situated, right next door to the play area, which was brilliant for the children (age 4 and 7) It had a lot for them to amuse themselves with including a huge trampoline ( which i have to say i had a go on).
The whole place was kept immaculately clean and the grass was frequently mown.
The bar area was very friendly and I really enjoyed the quiz and bingo nights, and the prices were very reasonable.
Dave and Bev could not have been any nicer, they are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them, they are there at 9 every morning to let the kids help let out and feed the rabbits and the chicks, which was the highlight of my kids holiday, along with the treasure hunt Bev put on for us.
There wasn't anything i would change about this park.
There was quite a bit to do in the surrounding area, we went to Aberporth beach which allows dogs in the summer time, and also Pembertons chocolate factory which is well worth a visit, only 25 mins away.

We stayed here for a weekend in July. It poured down all weekend but we still had a lovely time in Dolbryn. The Owners are the most help-full people. The site is spotless, toilets and showers really clean and looked after. There is a small bar on site, very quaint with down to earth priced drinks, there is a great kiddies corner and teen room also.

The pitches are nice sized with plenty of room, there is a lovely play area with rabbits to feed and a big trampoline. The sites ducks like to wander round witch was a big hit with our 3yr old. There are some stunning walks around this spacious site with a fishing pond too.

Cardigan is about 20 Min's away with loads of pubs and shops Newcastle Emlyn is 2 Min's away with some shops and a few pubs

Very reasonable priced all round, it's nice to go to a site that doesn't try and squeeze every penny out of you.

Cant wait to go back.

Very relaxing site and very friendly owners. Fish pond and vineyard walk were really pleasant for walking the dog and there is also another separate dog field on the other side of the site.

There is a converted barn / pub which is only open Friday and Saturday unless it's school or bank holidays. We visited on a quiet week and had some atrocious weather so it would have been nice if the barn could have been open for us to meet up and chat with fellow campers as sitting in the awning or walking around the site was out of the question for most of our stay.

The toilet block is rustic but in a way that adds to the charm of the site and was spotlessly clean at all times.

There are some friendly ducks who will come and visit you if you want them to. Also other animals which we didn't see much of due to the weather (the ducks were quite happy with it!)

Newcastle Emlyn is about 2 miles away and has shops, pubs, supermarkets etc. Or there is Cardigan which is much bigger and about 7 miles away.

There is plenty to do in the surrounding area but off season with really bad weather you are a bit stuck. Still a lovely campsite, perfect for relaxing and taking in the beautiful surroundings.

We stayed over the half term week and had the worse weather possible, rain, hale and wind.  Even with the bad weather we have a fantastic week.  The site it great, and really relaxing.  Bev and Dave are friendly and helpful.   They run activities through the busy weeks. There are animals to feed and loads of land to explore.  The first day there my girls were building a miniature raft, a candle was lit and put onto the raft, which was launched by Dave onto their lake in the evening.   They also ran a family treasure hunt, quiz night and bingo.  They have a little bar that opens in the evening with very inexpensive drinks.  The bar was very welcome with it log burning fire!  We had a lovely pitch and didn't feel crowded in.  My girls are 13 and 6 and both of them enjoyed the holiday and didn't get bored at all.  We are all looking forward to going back in August.
