We have just returned from a glorious weeks camping at Dolbryn. We stayed in the Pines field with one of our relatives. What a fantastic site very secluded in what seems like its own valley with the only noise being from the local sheep and cows (or the TRex as described by Bev).

Locally Newcastle Emlyn is a lovely rural town. The site is made up of a 3 fields and all have very spacious pitches the facilities are always spotless (I think Dave may have a touch of OCD as he was always cleaning the toilets at all times of day and night).

We only stopped for the week but could have done with much longer as we didn't have enough time to explore all the local area's and beaches.

Congratulations to Bev and Dave for a fantastic site

In conclusion I would definitely recommend and will be returning again as soon as we can.

Spent the first week of august here and loved every minute. Bev and Dave the owners really go the extra mile at this lovely positioned site.

We were in the Pines field with EHU next to the children's play area which our little boy loved. He also loved feeding the animals every morning with all the rest of the children.

The toilets and showers were kept spotlessly clean with plenty of free hot water.

The bar was a nice touch just a shame it wasn't open every night but there again the owners do deserve a break. Loads to see and do in the surrounding area.

We loved Cenarth falls and poppit sands. A real gem of a find, we hope to return next year

What a fantastic site, couldn't have asked for better to start our Welsh fortnight. Dave and Bev were brilliant hosts and the site was well laid out with plenty of room between units.

Showers and toilets were always clean and well stocked with the essentials.

Our pitch was right at the top of the caravan field and we did suffer from loss of water pressure a few times, apparently we were the last on the ring of taps, however this being the only niggle we would recommend this site and would certainly visit again.

Didn't see the kids for most of the week as they were off playing down by the stream, in the playground or helping to feed the animals.

All of the people on this site including the seasonal people were so friendly, and full of good advice about the local places to visit. Well done Dave and Bev for an excellent site and start to our holiday.

What a site, and definitely within my top five, only let down by the need to drive anywhere. Personally I would be happy to stay on site and relax but needs must.

Dave and Bev do a fantastic job. The site is very well maintained, excellent hot showers (free) and hot pot wash area, great ehu supply (no tripping) and really nice kids play area.

They even organise a kids craft club which was brilliant.

The bar on site is fabulous with various events such as quiz night and bingo etc and I don't know how Dave makes a profit on the drinks.

All in all we had a fantastic two weeks and will return again.

Had a fantastic 2 week holiday at Dolbryn. A lovely child friendly site which is really well maintained. For the full 2 weeks the free showers were hot & powerful & the toilets were kept very clean with plenty of loo roll.

We felt happy for our 2 children, aged 5 & 7, to play freely on the site. They really enjoyed the playground, exploring the secret garden & feeding the animals in the morning with the owners.

The Barn Bar has a rustic charm & is very family friendly with a kids corner containing several games & books. There is also an adjacent 'Teen room' with table football & pool table etc. Bar prices are very reasonable which tempted us back on many occasions!

The site is set in fantastic countryside & really is idyllic with a feel good factor. Newcastle Emlyn is about a 5 minute drive away & had most amenities that we required.

The owners really are extremely helpful & welcoming. They go the extra mile to make this campsite special.

We will be returning next year!

We've recently returned from a 2 week stay at this fantastic little campsite and would highly recommend it. The pitches are well spaced and the whole site is kept in good order through visibly constant attention from the owners.

The toilet and washing up facilities are a little limited but it never caused us a problem despite it being high season, and they were extremely clean.

The bar was great, a good selection of bottled ales as well as spirits and canned/bottled lagers and ciders. Mismatched furniture like church pews set in a converted barn space gave it a really cosy feel and the atmosphere was very friendly.

Dave and Bev were very helpful when we needed anything, and the kids had great fun helping with the animals each morning.

The only criticism I would have is that there was a number of seasonal pitches who clearly knew each other well, along with sizeable groups of families who spoke of yearly visits. Although friendly enough in themselves, there were times when we were made to feel like outsiders as they had a bit of a territorial attitude.

The site is located in glorious countryside with views over the Prescelli hills.

There are three camping fields, 2 with EHU, The Pines and the Lakes, plus Mountain View. The showers and toilets are always spotless, there are 2 male, 3 female showers plus a family room with shower, toilet and baby changing facility, this room is wheelchair accessible.

There is a kiddies play ground where they can feed the pet animals in the morning, there are also goats, pigs, ducks and chickens, there are two areas to walk your dog, a pond with free fishing and a cosy rustic bar in which to round off the day.

The pitches are large and Dolbryn is great value for money (no hidden extras)Bev & Dave are constantly trying to find ways to improve and update things, I believe that next year they are planning extra toilet/shower facilities on The Mountain View field.

The site is about mile and a half from the town of Newcastle Emlyn where you can buy all your basics.

There a number of glorious beaches within a short drive from the site also great coastal walks where you can spot the Cardigan Bay dolphins.

Just got back from a 4 night stay at dolbryn. Had a very warm welcome from the owners. They give us a map of the site which was very helpful.

The toilet, shower, and washing up block was always very clean with plenty of hot water what ever time of the day you used them. Great pond for fishing you can hire rods and things from the owners.

Nice little bar at the old farm house open most nights and great value for money.

The walks on the site are very good to. There is a playground for the children and they can feed the pets in the morning.

Would we go back again yes we booked for august on our way out, cant wait

Just came back from 6 night stay at Dolbryn, We pitched at the Pines Field, next to the children's playground, Showers / toilets always clean, but could do with more of them, only 2 male showers and 2 female showers.

Bev and Dave made us feel welcome, and the kids loved feeding the animals with them each morning,

Also activities for the children most days,i assume because it was half term.

We loved the bar great value for money and the pub quiz, great fun.

Overall the site is very good, set in a beautiful part of west wales, about 5 mins from Newcastle Emlyn and 30 mins from Cardigan, also close to local beaches.

We will be back.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at Dol Bryn. We had a fantastic time at this lovely little site.

The site overall is very basic but has a really nice 'feel' to it. Had a very warm welcome on arrival, the owners seem really nice and friendly people. Large pitches and the field we were staying in was nice and level with electric hook up. We were pitched right in front of the farm house very near to all the facilities.

There is a wonderful little park for the kids and they are able to help feed the animals including chickens, goats and pigs first thing in the morning with the owner.

We had several visits from one of the resident cats who drunk our friends dry of milk!

Nice little dog walk and this site is obviously respected by all dog owners, never saw any dog mess throughout the site all week.

Very small bar on site open most evenings, with what has to be the cheapest prices around. Pleasant little fishing pond with carp, equipment can be hired from reception.

Toilet and shower block very basic but very clean nonetheless. My wife complained she had a cold shower although I can't say the same as mine was always nice and warm! The water ran a bit slow at times but certainly didn't put us off in any way. Didn't experience any queues and the site was fairly busy. Much the same to be said for the washing up block (2 sinks).

Newcastle Emlyn is the nearest town about 1.5 - 2 miles away, has quite a few pubs and some nice little shops. Had a very nice Indian take away on our last night from the restaraunt situated near the river bridge. The 'CKs' supermarket has a great choice of essentials which we paid several visits to.

This site is situated in a beautiful part of West Wales, Cenarth about 4 miles away is a very pretty little village sat on the stunning river Teifi. Can recommend the food in the 'three horseshoes' pub and the white Hart across the road is also a great little pub but did not eat in there so cannot comment.

For beaches we can recommend Llangrannog about 30 - 40 mins drive. The cafe on the beach front has the finest ice cream in the world!

We will certainly return to this wonderful little site and hope the weather is as good as what we had on our first visit here.
