Just got back from a 2 night stay over the late bank holiday weekend and although the weather was rainy and miserable, we had a good time.
There needs to be a little more attention paid to signage for reception for when you arrive as we failed to spot a sign to direct us and ended up all getting out the car and wandering around.
The 2 ehu fields are very flat but seem to have a lot of seasonal caravans pitched on them. We stayed on the non EHU field which had an incline to it and we sleep in a different configuration to usual to accommodate this.
There was also a rather eyesore of a portable cabin in the corner of the field which Dave assured us was a Winter project to turn it into extra toilets and a campers' kitchen. This would be an excellent idea as the toilets were a fair walk in the middle of the night and in the day when young children wanted to go.
The toilets were always clean and tidy, as were the showers and pot wash. There were 2 washing machines (£2 a go) and a tumble drier could be used - this was in the house so I presume you would hand your drying over to Dave/Bev.
The grounds and garden and ponds were lovely and a real treat for a nature walk with the kids.
The park was a hit with the 4 year old we took. Especially the trampoline.
There are a few animals on site (pigs, rabbits, chickens) which you can get close to and feed.
Cannot comment on the bar as we didn't use it.
Newcastle Emlyn is ok for a browse, as is Cardigan. Large Tesco in Cardigan but can get very very busy in the height of season. Lovely beaches at Poppit and Mwnt. Teifi Manis is a good indoor soft play ideal for a rainy day, Caws Cenart is a cheese farm which is worth a visit to see the process and sample the cheese.
A good site and will use again. £14 for the night is most reasonable

Just returned from a bank holiday, 3 night stay at Dolbryn and had a very peaceful time while there. I have to say though, that a down side is that there were only 2 male showers and 3 toilets. As they were heavily used, the showers in particular were in a bit of a state, but I'm putting it down to a busy weekend.
They could certainly do with more showers though. The site is extremely safe for children and they cold be seen enjoying themselves, wherever you looked !
A beautiful fishing lake exists at the bottom of one of the fields, which was beautiful and inviting.
The wildlife was all around you and all in all, this is a charming, rustic site, without any luxuries but its charm makes up for that.

Just got back from a 2 night stay at Dolbryn. It was our first camping trip with the children so very apprehensive but no need as this site is fantastic!
First contact was booking over the telephone and Bev was very helpful, on arrival equally impressed with her friendliness and she showed us where to pitch, where play area was, toilets etc.
Pitch was a good size and level (we were in Pines field as requested to be near the play area) and could look over the hedge to check on the children playing.
Play area was great with swings, sandpit, slide & trampoline, plus each morning the children could help Bev feed & clean the animals - lovely touch!
Toilets/showers very clean & toilet roll in good supply, piping hot water in showers & pot wash and all at no extra charge - very impressed.
They have put a small bar in the barn which is a great idea with a small library & games for the children, we had a drink on the Saturday night with a lovely roaring fire - very cosy and prices very reasonable.
All in all a very good start to our camping exploits made by this lovely site, will definitely be returning!

Good family site, couldn't fault it. The site itself is beautiful and well set out. On arrival guests get a warm welcome and a map of the site showing the vineyard, lakes, stream, wildflower meadow, camping fields, play area and facilities. Kids get a lollipop.
The kids meet at the playground at 9am every day to help the owners feed the animals - chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and goats. Extra activities laid on for the kids some days. My children loved it and the owners were great with them, very engaging and patient.
There's a cosy bar in old farm buildings which opens in the evenings. Definitely worth a visit again, fantastic value for money.

Just returned from a fantastic 3 night stay at Dolbryn.
Welcomed by Bev and Dave and made to feel welcome at their home. The facilities are some of the best we have experienced, the showers, toilets, etc were spotlessly clean.
The children loved the play area, and especially meeting Bev at 9am in a morning to help feed the animals.
The bar was lovely, 7.30pm till 11pm opening, made to feel extremely welcome by all the people in the bar, and the drinks were cheap too !
A great place to stay and explore the Cardigan Bay, Carmarthenshire area.
Will definitely be visiting again, next time for longer!

Visited this site after a recommendation from a friend and we certainly weren't disappointed! Can't fault this site! The field was spotless, the toilet blocks and showers were fresh and clean and there was plenty of hot water right throughout the day.
The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming making us feel totally at home. The on site bar facility was cosy and extremely reasonable on price. Bingo for the kids and adults provided a great source of entertainment and family fun. The kids outdoor play area was well maintained and the children (we have 2) loved feeding the animals in the morning.
Pitches were a good size with enough space for a porch, cooking tent and porta loo + hook up. The grounds were lovely with walks and plenty of space to explore or walk a dog. The 11:30pm quiet down time was great and made sure that everyone got a quiet night sleep.
The location was fabulous and is a great base from which to explore this beautiful part of Wales, beaches, castles, play areas and country walks. What more could you need? We will most definitely be going back!

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at Dolbryn. Upon arrival we reported to reception where we were greeted by Dave and Bev. You couldn't wish to meet 2 nicer people. Dave showed us to our EHU pitch. The pitch was nice and flat and the grass had been freshly cut. Dave explained the site 'rules' and told us about the on site facilities. There is no noise allowed after 11pm which they should enforce on more campsites!
After pitching the tent we took a look around the site, it has a lovely play area/park for the children, including a trampoline, we hardly saw them for the 7 days we were there! (Ages 9,7 and 6) There are also chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs in the play area which the children are able to feed with Dave at 9am every day. They loved this!
The site has a beautiful pond where you can go fishing, it's so pretty and peaceful! This was one of the reasons we chose Dolbryn, my husband is a keen fisherman!
The toilet/shower facilities were in outside barns, they were immaculate for most of our stay except for the odd hour or so where the children had made a bit of a mess, but that's to be expected. I saw Bev or Dave most mornings at 7am cleaning the loos/showers and again several times during the day. Always well stocked with toilet roll, soap and the bins were emptied regularly. Well done Dave and Bev!
The pub is also in an outbuilding where they serve bottled alcohol or soft drinks for the children, again Dave and Bev were on top of things there, they arrange evenings of Bingo etc. And are keen to include the children in the activities going on. The pub isn't very big, so I'm sure it could get quite crowded in there if the whole site decided to go down for a drink!
We had a few days out in the surrounding area, we knew most places because we only live just over an hours drive from Dolbryn. Newcastle Emlyn is a small town with a few gift shops and some nice cafes. Not a great deal to do but worth a stroll around. Aberaeron is one of my favourite places so we paid another visit there. We also went to Fantasy Farm, this is an ok place, a little run down and in need of some TLC but the kids enjoyed it, they have a nice cafe and serve great, reasonably priced food!
Gwili Steam railway is worth a visit too, only about 20 min drive from the site. Although it rained on the day we went, we just made the most of it. Again, the kids loved it!
All in all, we had a lovely, relaxing stay at Dolbryn and will hopefully return again next year.

It was our first experience of camping and we couldn't have been more lucky than to find this hidden gem. A beautiful picturesque countryside camp. Bev and dave were really friendly and helpful.
The freedom of the site for the children was so nice. They loved feeding the ducklings and the goats in the mornings. And the park for them is always in sight so you never have to worry.
The showers and toilets were spotlessly clean and the bar is lovely, so quaint and olde worlde!. And very very cheap in price, beautiful location (and we was lucky enough to hit a heatwave).
All in all 10 out of 10. Top class site. Highly recommend. Will definitely be returning as soon as we can.

Chose this site as it was near to our friends home and we had a christening to attend.
Dave greeted us on arrival and showed us to our pitch, we used the barn bar that evening, with it being the friday of a bank holiday weekend it was quite busy, good thing they have slightly extended it, as it could of been a little cramped. They sell canned, bottled drinks for the adults as well as canned drinks for the kids, they even have a tuck shop which went down a storm with our teenager.
Toilets and showers were in farm out buildings and were clean and tidy. We were advised that showering early morning would mean limited hot water but had no problem while we were there.
We stayed for the week and it was a nice relaxed feel, only down side are other people not following site rules. This not the only site though.
We brought our god daughters up to the site to see the animals and loved them, they enjoyed the play area which includes a trampoline. The owners really care about the entertainment for the kids they do activities for them, while we were there they made rafts and floated them on the lake with a tealight as it was the evening.
Would recommend more for small children as teenagers tend to get bored easily but would go back again.

We have used this site for the last 3 years. Normally with our grand children. But this time we took advantage of of their Senior Moments week offer. Chris and I really enjoyed ourselves going out with other caravanners to the places arranged by our hosts. Bev & Dave put on some entertainment in bar in the evening where we all met up after the days out.
The site itself is wonderful, if like us you enjoy nature and fishing. The toilets and showers are top class with plenty of hot water for dish washing. Looking forward to the next Senior Moments week to meet up again with the lovely people we met.
