Location - Location - Location ! This was a return visit to the site. The staff couldn't be more helpful. The site itself is simple, clean and ideally located.(right next to the beach & throwing distance from the retail parks and the harbour.) The children's park is excellent and kept the kids out of our hair for most of the holiday. The dog loved it - lots of great sniffing ground close by. We're already booked to return next year!

We recently had a three night stay here, and have to say, were not too impressed at all.
First off, how anyone can say the toilet and shower block were 'superb' '5-star' or even clean is amazing. They were small, dirty and smelly, with only 2 showers (which you had to pay for the priviledge of using).
The shop was VERY expensive, but that was little issue as there was an asda right next door.
The hard standing pitches were a joke. Just a couple of paving slabs dumped in the grass!
You have to pay extra for EVERYTHING - hook-up was £3 per night, dogs were £1 per night (but you had to exercise them off camp). Plus extra for awnings, pup tents, showers etc etc.
On the plus side, the site is ideally situated for exploring the coast. The pebble beach is right next door, and there is a pretty good retail park within walking distance. And the wardens were very friendly, if a little overworked.
It has the makings of a very good site, it just needs a bit of money spending on it, with new toilet blocks, and a review of their pricing policy, and it will soon be back up to it's promised 5-star rating

I recommend Bay View for a weekend away. Friendly staff and clean facilities. We were cooking on a disposable bbq and realised we were going to need another one, so we rung up the owners and they came and opened shop for us so we could buy another one from them. Only a couple of showers so might be a bit of a queue during the busy times, but good nevertheless. There is a sailing club right next door and a stony beach, but little further down you will find sand. ASDA shop just minute up the road, and indoor pools also.

What a brilliant site, we are travelling from Australia and have stayed at a lot of campsites, but we have never stayed at a more friendly site that Bay View Park. The site is close to the beach and transport to Eastbuourne is at the front door. Chris, Mary, Alan & Judy are fantastic making you feel like your at home. Happy travels The Aussies

Pleasant stay. Toilet block could do with updating and adding to. Few more basins - maybe its me, I never like cleaning my teeth in a basin that someone has just washed their hands in from going to the toliet.
Play area great - children loved.

Broadhembury Holiday Park - Ashford
Just 15 minutes from Ashford and 25 minutes from fabulous beaches, you'll be ideally placed for exploring the Garden of England. The park is divided into a family area, that is close to the play parks, the sports field and the games room, and a peaceful adult-only area in The Meadows, that is ideal for couples. A range of grass and hardstanding pitches, fully serviced or non electric, catering for all sized of tents and caravans.
On both areas you will enjoy five-star, centrally-heated showers, and private cubicles with toilet, hand basin, dryers etc. Laundry and campers kitchens, a large childrens playground, sports field, games room and television lounge. The park has CCTV and WiFi is available for a small fee. A dog walking area is provided on site. Find out more here

The facilities here were good, very clean and it is right next to the beach. As first time campers we found it ideal as an introduction to the camping experience.
However due to unsympathetic recent development by the local authority, the camping field is now surrounded on 2 sides by new housing, including flats.

August 2005 I have just returned from this site with my grandchildren. I found the site on UKCampsite and thought I would give it a try. Great site for children next to beach, very helpful people running it. The only negative thing I would say is that they could do with extra showers and toilets, as in the morning it was VERY busy.
Flat pitches plenty of wildlife (mostly rabbits) and I even had time for a spot of fishing.
It is in a good position to visit other places and we went to hastings which has all the things one expects from a coastal town.I would reconmend this site to all with childreen try it. Laurence mason.

July 2005 We have just returned from Bay view and we had a great time, the site was managed extremely well and the wardens were excellent - nothing was too much trouble - they were very welcoming and chris was entertaining to say yhe least with his brummy jokes, he even took our washing in when it began to rain.
As previously commented the washing facilities were always busy, but but hey ho you are on holiday so you had time to wait. The campsite is in a great position right beside the sea and handy for walking the dogs. The site is really quiet just as we like it. The pitches are of an ample size - we easily pitched our 24 ft caravan and 3.5m wide awning.
I would just like to say a BIG thanks to the wardens for making our stay at Bay View very enjoyable

July 2005 Once we arrived at Bay View caravan Park the man greeted us and was more than helpful, as it was our first time camping we was not sure how the set up of camping life was going to be for the next week, but we settled in rather quickly. We hardly saw the children as they were making new friends daily in the well loved park.
Toilet facilities were always clean and showers and toilets cleaned daily as i always seemed to bump into the lady cleaning them. As soon as there was a problem the warden was there sorting out the problem and with a cheeky smile, there was never no noise after 11 o'clock which was one of the rules and with so many children on site I was quite surprised, the washing faclities were also clean, everybody on site were on hand always to help, would go back again, thanks for great holiday.
The shop on site is a bit expensive but it is there for the things you have forgotten and Asda is about 5 mins drive up the road.

July 2005 I have just returned from Bay view and we had a great time. We were surprised to see new owners, they were very friendly and welcoming, especially to my 7 year old son. They were always in good spirits and patient with my little one visiting the shop by himself. The showers were always busy, but this is what you expect in the summer holidays. At least you get to have a nice chat with different people while waiting in the que. The campsite is in a great position right beside the sea. There are no arcades or entertainment venues, which means it is really quiet. We visited eastbourne on the first day and hastings for the second. There are lots of places to visit, So We have already booked to go back again.
