Just back from a weekend at Bay view and we liked it very much. Site is medium sized with a mix of static’s, Tents, tourers and motor homes. Pitches are a reasonable size with room for your van an awning and your car. The site is flat and right on top of a pebble beach but is sheltered from the wind by surrounding bushes. The toilet block is a small prefab building but was clean with 4 showers 2 washing up sinks. The showers were the push button type but the water was warm. Small shop on site selling the usual stuff. A small stroll along the beach to the right brings you to a lovely harbor with restaurants shops and a cinema. There is a small golf course on site if that is your thing. The Girls enjoyed it so much they want to go back for a week. Good clean site in a nice location for surrounding towns. Check your sat nav before you leave, mine sent me down some very narrow B roads with some hairy moments on a few narrow blind bends :) A full suite of Digital TV channels was available until the motorhome pitched up next to us then we had to switch to analogue Dh'o :(

Stopped off at this lovely site on Saturday, on arrival I didn’t think that my mains lead would run to the hook up on the pitch that they had allocated me. So Bay View offered me the choice of borrowing an extension, or choosing another pitch. I went for the different pitch which was fantastic, just a little more secluded than the main ones which was nice.
The facilities are all very new and clean, staff all very pleasant & keen to help.
Site is close to the beach & you can walk to the harbour in no time.
A great site, well worth a visit. Thanks.

We stayed here over the 2nd May bank holiday weekend, despite the BBC weatherman amusingly saying 'this would be a bad day to go camping' the morning we went!
The first thing you notice about the site is it's fantasic location, just yards from the beach. From our pitch we could clearly hear the sea - bliss. There are no busy roads / flightpaths etc nearby to spoil the peace.
The first couple of nights were quiet as the weather was very wet, but on the 3rd night the place got fairly packed out, but not so much to make it uncomfortable or seem crowded.
The facilities are basic but perfectly adequate. Hot showers, clean toilets, and a small shop with the necessities in there. What more do you need?
The children's play area was slightly dissapointing as it was muddy and generally grubby, but our 2 year old preferred the beach anyway.
There's a 24 hour Asda about 20m walk or 5 minute drive away, Pevensey Bay is about 5 minutes drive and the centre of Eastbourne is about a 10 minute drive.
Overall, we loved this site and will definitely return.

It was cold, it was wet, it was incredibly windy but what a great four days we had at Bay View. I had used this website to research somewhere quiet and close to Rye. We loved the area, the site itself is small, very quiet as no access after 11.30 but still great to sit and have a glass of vino whilst your 9 year old plays with the other kids in the great little play area. Cross a little bridge from the site onto the beach, a very pebbly beach. It was being cleared by a tractor and we sat and waved to the lovely man driving the tractor on the beach.
Facilities - superb. VERY clean and warm shower units no need to ever queue as plentiful, plus laundry room and a great area to wash dishes. All very close by but not too close.
We will go back again very soon.

We have just come back from this site.Having had a large tent for some years we have just bought our first motorhome and experienced our first venture at Bay View. What a lovely, lovely site so close to the beach it tookless than 2 mins toget onto it.You can then walk right along to sovereign harbour, through the new developments and to the bars. Highly recommend the italian place for lunch by the harbour beautiful. The site is super, very good price, showers and toilets are immaculate and were warm too even though we had good weather it was nice to have the gentle heat from the rads. Showers cubicles included a basin and toilet and plenty of room for your stuff. Friendly staff, a paper in the morning for my son to go and get and a lovely little play areaw hich is virtually in the middle of the site so you can see them safely. My son watched rabbits feeding in the morning out of his window which he was thrilled about and one of those priceless memories. We would return again, wonderful place.

Just 15 minutes from Ashford and 25 minutes from fabulous beaches, you'll be ideally placed for exploring the Garden of England. The park is divided into a family area, that is close to the play parks, the sports field and the games room, and a peaceful adult-only area in The Meadows, that is ideal for couples. A range of grass and hardstanding pitches, fully serviced or non electric, catering for all sized of tents and caravans.
On both areas you will enjoy five-star, centrally-heated showers, and private cubicles with toilet, hand basin, dryers etc. Laundry and campers kitchens, a large childrens playground, sports field, games room and television lounge. The park has CCTV and WiFi is available for a small fee. A dog walking area is provided on site. Find out more here

Spent the weekend here, in the tent and thought highly of the site.
First thing is that it is not a big site, so if you have a tent specifically ask for the tent field opposite the shop; otherwise they will put you squeezed among the caravans - which would be rather cramped.
The other, more open, tent area on the opposite side is further away from the toilets and showers, has no electric hook-up, but is more peaceful and away from chintzy-curtain caravan city.
The site is right by the sea, so you Can get out of your tent, walk over the hump and down, across the pebbles, to the sea. All very nice.
Water, toilets, showers, disposal points were all in working order, well looked after and clean.
The pitches are marked (so you need to tell them of the tent size) and organised so it is no wilderness site, however, being so close to the sea makes up for it.
Note, that they have a no gazebo policy (I guess because of the wind) and lock the gate at night (around 11pm).
So if you want to explore that part of the Sussex and be by the sea - recommended.

We have just returned from 5 nights at this campsite. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The site was crowded as it was bank holiday but we had allocated pitches of 9m square. The site was right on the beach and as the weather was kind to us we spent many a pleasant day swimming and building sandcastles. The only downside to our visit was the shower and toilet facilities - we were in the overflow field and only had 2 showers and 2 toilets which were in need of updating, in the main field was a brand new block but only had 3 showers so we had to queue. Lovely holiday and would go back.

Stayed here for 1 night with friends and six children all under 8, the site is clean , not the prettiest site ever, due to the housing estate the is adjacent to the campsite. The location is great as the beach is just next to the field our tents were in. The play park is in the other field, for the caravans and electrical hook up. This was a bit of a problem as we had to take the children there due to their age and as there was a no sports, no kites, no ball games, no cycling rule it was difficult to amuse them near the tent. The pitches were very strictly laid out and numbered and we struggled to get our six man tent and two cars on the pitch. There is no parking elsewhere. Any visitors to the site have to pay for their car and per person. My friend wanted to stay on for a couple of hours on the day we left and had to pay £3 to park her car. Whilst we appreciate that the campsite was filling up as it was a bank holiday weekend, the charge for everything rule seemed rather strict. We felt that this site was very clean, good showers, but will not return as it wasn't that suitable for younger children as there was no space for them to run around and even if there was they were limited with what they could actually play with. The site seems more suited to couples, or people with dogs.

This is a marked pitch site with a notice stating "No ball games etc" on the entrance gate . This is unenforceable and shouldn't be creating restrictions on children and families. The showers were situated in a portacabin on our side of the site but there was a bigger shower block on the other field for the tourers which can be used . This site gets 10/10 for location , not so much a stones throw from the beach more a stones throw from the actual sea . A two minute drive brings you to the local Asda and a Cinema ( for wet weather ). We spent all our time on the beach and barely moved from the site apart from on one evening when we went to Eastbourne to eat . I don't know if it happens every night but there is a swooping starlings show over the Pier which mesmerised the children for hours.

Stayed here at the beginning of the summer hols. Have been a couple of times before. They have updated the site. New toilet block. In the ladies 3 toilets and then 3 shower units each with a sink and toilet in them. Very clean. Showers a bit hot for children. My husband said there are not enough toilets in the mens, gets a bit busy in the mornings! Only two washing up sinks, not enough. Laundry room, fine. There is now a proper gravel road around the site instead of a boggy grass track. All in all great. Right on the beach, had great fun shrimping and crabbing at low tide. Pevensey Bay is a great little village, loads of pubs.
