I have just got back from my stay at bay view and I had a wonderful time. The campsite is situated in a perfect position between Bexhill and Eastbourne, with a beach right next to the sight. There were so many attractions in the area, we visited Pevensey castle, took a boat ride through the harbour, spent the day at Eastbourne. There is also a small shopping complex with a cinema and a Asda, within walking distance, which was cheaper than the campsite shop.
The toilets and showers were always clean and there was also laundary facilities and washing up stations.
Being a first time camper I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised with the facilities and overall experience.

This is a nice site run by a friendly couple and the facilities are very clean. It’s only four miles from the site entrance to the centre of Eastbourne along a flat cycle route. You can also walk (or cycle) to the marina, which is about a mile away, if that, where there are shops, restaurants, cinema etc.
Thoroughly recommended.

Read all the good things others have written and believe them. They are correct.

We had a great couple of nights camping here and the owners were lovely. The shop is open long hours and has a good range of provisions and daily papers without having to order them in advance!

The only downside for our family was the pebble beach. It is definitely a dog walking beach - covered with all the extras that dogs leave behind... definitely NOT for pre school children .... as well as actively avoiding poo on the beach, it was also steeply shelved and difficult to get down to the waters edge (marginally cleaner there - but lots of tar). Children disappointed with this beach, but loved the playground. For the beach reason alone - we probably will not return here.

June 2003 - A fantastic little site! :D It was quiet, clean and friendly. We were pitches near the toilets and initially I thought, "Oh brilliant! (not)" But we weren' disturbed at all. The pitch was level, we were a decent distance from the next tent, the toilet block was very clean. Showers were 20p, and in the same block there was a washing up area with hot running water (free). The site was very close to the beach - we just wandered to the other end of the field, over the grassy bank - and we were there! Even during the day the beach was quiet which was good. It was £10.95 for the two of us for one night which we thought was fine. I loved the fact that it was so quiet, it suited us down to the ground. We'll definitely be going back!

I spent two nights camping at Bay View with my Fiancée and my dog, and we thought it was a lovely site.

The couple that own the site are really friendly and accommodating and work hard keeping the site clean and the shop open long hours.

The toilet & shower block was small but clean and didn't seem too busy, even first thing in the morning!

It is right on the beach, so ideal for walking the dog, and due to the fact that the campsite is great for couples and families the complete quiet rule after 11:00 pm is observed.

A highly recommended campsite.

We've stayed here three times now and find this site very nice, it is run by a lovely couple. the site is right on the beach which was perfect for us with our children. A good childrens area. I would highly recomend this campsite for families

A lovely well kept site for couples and families only. Adjacent to the beach. Well stocked reasonably priced shop open long hours. Good kids playground for under 10's. Pitches quite close together but around the edge of the field only. We had a lovely weekend here with the beach on site and apparently you can fish on the beach or walk to the local pubs from the site (we did neither - lazy lot)
