Positives, the site is good for adults & older children. Close to beach & a lovely cycle path to marina where there's a large Harvester. The shower & toilet block for motorhomes & the residents is new & clean. The block for the tents is old shabby & dirty.
Negatives, one of the wardens was rude & didn't like children or dogs, she was very unpleasant & never smiled, just patrols the site. We didn't find them pleasant at all. Even telling the little children to stay on their side & play (tent side) No push bikes allowed on site or walking your dog on a lead around the site, you must only walk your dog of the site!
Its a pity because under better management it would be a happy family site.

A lovely site right by the beach. Small play area for children. Very dog friendly, and no requirement to keep them on a lead once on the beach.
Toilet block is clean with plenty of hot water and has all you need. There is a small shop on site with all the essentials.
There is a Golf club just around the corner.
An easy 1 mile walk to Sovereign Marina which has a harvester, Thai, indian, Mediterranean, American, and Italian restaurant plus a chippy. A few small boutique shops dotted around. Just around the corner from the Marina there is an Asda, Boots, Matalan, cinema etc all easy walk very buggy and wheelchair friendly. As we had a motorhome we like to know that we can get out to restaurants etc without a car. This site ticked all the boxes for us.
If you are feeling energetic the nice promenade walk continues to Eastbourne which is probably 6 miles or so, but again with the exception of a very small section, it is paved all the way and has a designated cycle and roller blade lane.

We were pleased with this little site, if you want to be close to the beach (1 minutes walk) and on a fairly quiet site then this is for you.
Location wise: We cycled to Eastbourne along the prom and on the cycle routes which was great with children (no worries about traffic)
My husband also cycled to the supermarket - quite close.
The new toilet /shower block is very clean and very good. Cleaned regually.
Free showers and in the female side there were 3x little 'bathrooms' each with their own shower, wc and basin - very good if you are showering children!
There are also 3 or 4 separate WCs.
There is a laundry room and washing up room with 2 very deep sinks
We never had to wait to use the showers or the washing up - despite staying August bank holiday weekend.
My children loved the play area - but I feel that I must write that this did not resemble anything like the photo that we had seen in the brochure!
For a quiet beach holiday on the South Coast it ticks all boxes - so yes, I would return.
Stayed on pitch No 15 which is quieter (far corner) again I think a good position.

We stayed here in August 2011 and had a great time. Our party was made of two families with four young children, spread over two pitches. The site was clean, friendly and although not the most glamorous was a very good place to stay.
Toilets and showers were clean, one block of toilets are about to be refurbished but the other block near reception is modern.
The playground area was small and on the adjoining field, this probably made our camping area a lot quieter.
The location is five minutes from a stony beach.
A good walk and enjoyable one is to walk along the beach to the harbour, enjoy a trip around the harbour for a sensible price and then have a nice meal there.
There are endless places to visit in the area.

I stayed here with my husband and sons, the pitches are large. There are two blocks of toilets, the small ones are okay, could be improved.
The larger ones are very clean with lovely showers which to our surprise were free (having paid for them at other sites).
The shop is very limited to what it sells but there is a supermarket only a five minute drive away.
The beach was a minutes walk to get to. A great site to stay on as there is a mixture of tents and tourers.
We had a lovely time and would love to go there again.

Broadhembury Holiday Park - Ashford
Just 15 minutes from Ashford and 25 minutes from fabulous beaches, you'll be ideally placed for exploring the Garden of England. The park is divided into a family area, that is close to the play parks, the sports field and the games room, and a peaceful adult-only area in The Meadows, that is ideal for couples. A range of grass and hardstanding pitches, fully serviced or non electric, catering for all sized of tents and caravans.
On both areas you will enjoy five-star, centrally-heated showers, and private cubicles with toilet, hand basin, dryers etc. Laundry and campers kitchens, a large childrens playground, sports field, games room and television lounge. The park has CCTV and WiFi is available for a small fee. A dog walking area is provided on site. Find out more here

Went here for a week, showers, laundry room all great.
Buses up the lane to the main road around 200 yds all on the flat takes you to Eastbourne or we cycled along the coast and then harbour cycle path to the local retail park where they had harvester and all those big places you expect there like ask and bell Italia and such like.
Asda all on the same place with a cinema and the usual boots and blockbuster and the same ilk.
Hard standings and grass pitches, site divided into 2, one side of the road for tents and ones side for caravans and motor homes, a few seasonal but not many, a tea room at the golf course next door where you could get a meal with a small shop on site where you can order your daily papers and carrying lots of supplies.
Very friendly wardens.
Would come again, A bit expensive but you have to pay for the best sites I suppose.

What a lovely site. We had a warm welcome from the Site Managers and the husband of this team really helped my friend out with the old camper she had just purchased. The facilities are kept lovely and clean. The site practically has it's own beach (not their own private beach but you do step out of the site onto the sand) and it's just a one mile gentle walk to Sovereign Marina which has loads of nice places to eat and some quirky shops too. It's a longer walk in the other direction to Pevensey Bay shops etc. But worthwhile as there as some lovely pubs on the beach. We have been to this site twice and will almost certainly go again.

Our first full camping trip (myself and 5 yr old daughter). This was a lovely camp site, clean grounds, excellent facilities - wonderfully clean toilet / shower block, small shop on site;
a nice mix of tent / caravan / statics and essentially for us, dog friendly.
Play park in front of us so didn't see any of the kids from dawn til dusk (apart from when they got hungry!).
Shops/petrol a 2 min drive for the nearest one which had lots of other shops too. Beach a 2 min walk - dog friendly.
Went with a friend and her family (3 pitches in all) who have used this site many times. Will definitely visit again.

We booked into this site for 3 nights. We were in a group but did have small children with us. The owners were friendly and were helpful when we needed them.
This Pitches are quite close and when in a group the noise levels can rise above normal and therefore potentially disturb nearby campers. The site does have a sign stating no gazebo's (which we didn't see) so we erected ours only to be asked to take it down. Then we subsequently saw more up closer to the wardens which were allowed to stay up.
Showers / toilets etc were good, if slightly too hot for the kids but great for the adults. The Park was great for the little ones and if you are on the part of the park with the park it is centrally located meaning you can keep a constant eye on younger children.
The beach is a 2 mins walk and is great for walking on or just skimming stones etc and Eastbourne is just 'stones' throw away also!
The is a large 24hr Supermarket 5 mins fro the site which is great for those of us who don't travel with the contents of our pantry & fridge in the car.
All in all we really enjoyed it and would consider going back there.

Stopped here for two nights, the site is well set out, we received a small welcome pack that was very useful.
There was a children's play area but it was the week before bank holiday so it was quiet. The beach is at the back of the site. The shower and toilet block is one of the best I have seen in a while, very clean, everything was clearly marked up ie- washing areas, drinking water, disposal points.
Polite notices to encourage all visitors to keep site clean, which I always think is a good thing.
On a separate note, our campervan broke down and we had to be transported to a garage, the owner/warden was so helpful in looking at our van and recommending a good local garage, who also did an excellent job (Haven garage).
We would definitely stop again if we are in this area.
