Very friendly reception to this beach site and thought the toilets/showers were of a high standard particularly liked the individual shower cubicles. Had a nice level hard standing pitch and could hear the waves at night. Eastbourne can be walked or cycled to along the front passing the marina and there is a frequent bus service too as well as to Hasting. No nearby pub but there are a few bars/cafes, restaurants in the marina(about 15 mins walk). Pevensey Bay can also be walked to in about 30 mins along the beach which has a couple of pubs, a hotel, supermarket, take-aways. There is a large Asda and small retail outlet next to the marina. Paid £20/night for two with ehu.

We stayed for the Easter Bank holiday in our motorhome with two children (2 and 5) and dog. This is a lovely little site - it's small, simple, clean and well located.
The site is a short drive to Pevensey and getting into Eastbourne is easy. You need bikes or a car to get out and about as there isn't much in the immediate vicinity. It is very close to the beach - we could hear the waves at night. We were able to walk our dog along the beach.
We were in the 'main field' as opposed to the overflow one. We had a hardstanding pitch although most of them were grassy. Condition of the pitches were very good. There is a nice little playground - couple of swings, wooden wendy house, slide and a wooden fort type thing.
Toilets and showers were very clean. Showers were good temperature and powerful - with separate shower enclosures so you have somewhere dry to get dressed etc.
Staff very friendly - as were the other people on the site. All in all a lovely weekend and we will definitely be back.

The family and I have just returned from a long weekend at bay view. Had a lovely time as we have on two previous visits. Very well run site with staff there if you need them and leave you alone when you don't. Lovely pitch toilets were very clean and well looked after as was the rest of the site. Beach is a stones throw and sovereign harbour a short walk. Bay view keep up the good work. WELL DONE!.

2nd visit. Lovely campsite, friendly welcome and helpful. Right next to a lovely beach (pebbly until low tide)with lots to explore. Ground is quick to drain (we had a LOT of rain one day and all night!) but ground a bit stoney getting tent pegs in - use the plastic 'bend around stone type' or strong pegs that take a whack! also quick to respond to phone message. Good for kids with playground and beach. Clean, well maintained toilets, campsite well run and maintained with little shop that has all the basics.
Quite a long but pleasant walk into Eastbourne if you want to - definitely worth it as it takes you along the seafront and harbour. When there visit Fuxciardi's Ice cream shop - lovely and friendly too with a bus stop right outside.
Highly recommend and will definitely visit again.

My wife and I have just retuned home after 5 days at this site. On arrival we were directed to the overflow site where there are 60 pitches, we were given a nice plot in the corner of the field which seemed ideal.
When we booked the site were told that you could see the marina from the site, this was not the case, so we were a little disappointed with this, also around the site there were lots of signs stating no ball games allowed, this was totally ignored by everyone leaving your caravan at the mercy of the football.
The toilet blocks consisted of 2 toilets and 3 showers in the mens area and the same again in the ladies area, I feel this is inadequate for the number of pitches, the toilets were also dirty.
It's a shame that this site is not looked after better as it is in an ideal location only a couple of minutes walk from the pebble beach and ideal for touring the local are, we will not be returning to this site.

Broadhembury Holiday Park - Ashford
Just 15 minutes from Ashford and 25 minutes from fabulous beaches, you'll be ideally placed for exploring the Garden of England. The park is divided into a family area, that is close to the play parks, the sports field and the games room, and a peaceful adult-only area in The Meadows, that is ideal for couples. A range of grass and hardstanding pitches, fully serviced or non electric, catering for all sized of tents and caravans.
On both areas you will enjoy five-star, centrally-heated showers, and private cubicles with toilet, hand basin, dryers etc. Laundry and campers kitchens, a large childrens playground, sports field, games room and television lounge. The park has CCTV and WiFi is available for a small fee. A dog walking area is provided on site. Find out more here

Just returned from a weekend at Bay View. On arrival was greeted and shown pitch. Pitches are 9m x 9m and must contain car, trailer, tent, awning etc which for us was a very tight squeeze. When we mentioned this to reception they gave us an alternative place to park the car but made it clear this was an exception and we should really try and fit on the pitch.
The pitches were very close together and no ball games at all allowed. This rule was enforced! My children took to playing with a Frisbee but this was soon confiscated as well. The playground was small but my younger children enjoyed it.
The beach is only 5 mins walk away so we spent quite a lot of time there. Beach is pebble but loadsa space.
Toilet block was clean and tidy and well maintained.
The site shop had the basics and the usual tourist leaflets which were useful.
Overall a small clean campsite but not too much for older children to do but still an enjoyable weekend.

We stayed at bay view for the Long Jubilee weekend. We were in the field on the left as you approach (the one with the office in it). I have sen this described as the motorhome field but there were many tents in it when we were there.
The toilet block was nice with 3 Individual cubicles in each containing a shower toilet and sink. I thought this would mean long queues for showers but even with a full site it was not too bad. There were also 2 separate sinks and 2 toilet cubicles. The showers here are so far the best I have encountered on a camp site.
The site is quite windy being so close to the beach so they have a 'no gazebos' rule as there has been damage to units from them blowing away. This caused us a problem as we camp with another family and after putting the kids to bed we sit in between the tents. This was not possible in the rain we had that weekend. We also had problems cooking outside.
The staff were great and the kids loved the play area which was opposite our units.
The walk to Eastbourne is a good few miles along the coast road (and 20 mins back by bus).
We drove round to look at a few other sites (as the gazebo rule is a problem for us and we'd love to return to the area again), but were not impressed with what we saw. Will have to read some reviews.
If we return we will pick the sheltered pitches !

We spent one night here and found it very nice. Tidy, clean, quiet without being desolate. Also felt secure and the reception had a nice selection of stuff. We were near the new toilet block so only used this one. It was excellent.
A relatively short walk along the beach or road leads you into the village where there are shops, take-aways and pubs.
Very nice for a short break. We will go again.

We enjoyed staying here and although this was our first venture with our motor home (so we have no reference for comparison purposes) we could find no fault with the campsite or its facilities. Everything was clean when we got there and the staff seemed to be patrolling the site regularly and were happy to chat to us.
It's a great location for children too, with some cycle paths on the doorstep and easy access to the beach.
The pitches were a good size and we had ample room with our 7m motor home.

This campsite is perfect if you have young children as it is small and has a play area for under 10's. Unfortunately, it wasn't really suitable for us as we were a group of four families and between us had four girls aged 10-15 and five boys aged 11-15.
Because the site is small and all the pitches are close together there are no ball games allowed or any areas specifically for older children. The campsite staff kept telling our children to play on the beach which is very close but because it is steep and pebbled they couldn't play their usual ball games.
The best shower block is in the field of static caravans and motor homes which is a bit odd as they generally have their own facilities. These are very clean and each shower room has it's own toilet and sink which all the adults thought was great.
The shower block in the field for tents isn't as good and quite compact.
The site is in a good location very close to the beach and a 15-20 minute walk to Sovereign Marina with a choice of restaurants. Also close by is a retail park with a huge Asda superstore, several other stores and a cinema.
To conclude, this site isn't suitable for teenagers and you are very close to your 'neighbours' - we will be going back to the open spaces of the New Forest!
