This is a fantastic site with excellent facilities.
However we have since on several occasions attempted to book this site again for a long week end. Unfortunately we were told they would only accept bookings for a minimum of 5 nights for a weekend booking.
I have again attempted to book for a bank holiday week end in April and they are asking for a minimum of 7 nights.
This is a popular site and my 2 young children really like it. The children's play area is excellent as well as the toilet block.
However by demanding 5 or 7 nights for a family over a long week end is totally unreasonable. The park fees for a touring pitch are not cheap, as you would expect from a good site.

We loved this site, the pitches are nearly all hard standing with water, waste, electric and tv hookup. There is a a bar / restaurant on site and a small but well stocked shop. However, the opening times were very limited: just a couple of hours on some days. There was a Londis minimarket and two pubs in Peterchurch, one mile away.
There is a huge area set aside for games: an enormous pitch & putt field, football, tennis and badminton courts, kids play equipment and more.
Some places we found of interest in the area were:
Eastnor castle and gardens, Cider museum - Hereford, Hay-on-wye, Ledbury and Malvern town.

'WOW' this is a real 5 star camp site even the dog get its own shower cannot fault this place hot showers staff very nice very good pitches and fantastic location
We walk while were away and there is plenty here some of the best walking we have done is 30 minutes away but just on your door step is very nice walks also. There are 4 showers in the mens with some very strange lighting in the mens toilets w/c showers are turn on and run until you are finished here no push buttons!
Fully serviced pitch had loads of space and you can get around without getting muddy if you want pub closed while we were there and shop also but local shop only 5 mins

Would highly recommend Poston Mill. Just come back from a 6 night stay with partner and two children aged 2 & 4. It is spotless and the staff are very friendly. It is a quiet place, but this is what we were looking for. The kids loved the place and we would definitely go again. It is in an ideal location to visit Hereford, Hay-On-Wye and many other little villages. We visited the Forest of Dean which has a fantastic children's play area and also the steam railway. There is an on-site farm shop which we found expensive but then again you could not fault the quality of food. We also ate at The Mill pub/restaurant (also on-site) and enjoyed the food.

Had a nice weekend here with my wife and 2 children on a super pitch with water, drainage, tv point etc, level ground pitch. 5 star spotlessly clean toilet, shower block, beautiful lawned play area with grass tennis court, football pitch etc. The river Dore runs through the site which my son caught 19 small brown trout, so great for fishing. The mill restaurant is small but a nice cosy feeling. Hereford town 9 miles away with great shops, cathedral, mappa mundy which is worth a look. My only concern with the site was that it was slightly too quiet which would suit the older generation, but not so much for young families.
Overall beautiful site,would recommend

A relative has a static here and we decided to visit them one weekend.
This campsite is by far the nicest site we have been to.
The shower/toilet facilities are second to none. Immaculately clean, modern, warm and very well equipped.
There is a disabled/family room too with a mini bath in for little ones. They are so very modern and clean and obviously checked regularly as a clean jay cloth seemed to be on the sink every time I used it.
The washing up room is spotless too and has a communal fridge and freezer to use.
The facilities could do with being a little closer to the tent field and are a little stroll but just a little careful planning is needed and it is so worth it as they are so spotless.
The laundry room has a spinner, washing machine and tumble dryers and again is immaculate. There are two washing lines erected for use also.
For the children there is a great park area with an old restored tractor, some swings and climbing frames, a badminton pitch, tennis court, boules area, basketball / netball hoop.
The next field along is pitch and putt which kept all the ages in our party occupied.
The site is neatly manicured, grass cut and hedges trimmed to a high standard.
Nestled among fields with plenty of country walks
Country pub selling food and drink on site and farm shop. Really cant recommend this site enough.

Very friendly welcome, given information on site and a couple of pages of 'what's on' in the area. Shown to pitch and had facilities pointed out. No map of site but not needed as you could see facilities from pitch and there are only about 30 touring pitches.
All pitches are full service and hard standing, noticed some grass pitches at end of site but not in use when we stayed. Price includes EHU, water tap and waste drain on pitch, also a TV point for £1 per night extra. We paid the extra £1 for simplicity. 'Normal' TV is the 5 channels plus Sky news. On digital we got all available free to view channels with good quality picture.
The site facilities are excellent. The shower blocks are the best we have seen. Spotless and large cubicals with plently of room in dry to sit and change away from wet shower area. As well as chemical disposal they have a dog shower facility, even provide the hairdryer.
The site is bounded by the (small) river Dore, free fishing for brown trout in season. There is also a very large children's play area and a free pitch and put and putting green, club hire free with a small deposit.
There is an extensive dog walk and plenty of walking direct from site.
At the entrance is the Mill bar and resturant. Had a nice meal there on the Saturday night, patrons appeard to be from the static part of the site but friendly staff and made to feel welcome.
Well positioned for visiting Hay-on-Wye, Hereford and the wider Welsh boarders area. 1 mile walk\drive to nearest village with shop and 2 pubs (didn't use).
Weather not good but will reurn in Spring when hopefully will also stay dry!

Stopped at this campsite last weekend and would highly recommend as this site is fantastic. When we arrived the receptionists were really helpful and pleasant. We were taken for a trip around the site to pick a spot and the site was spotless. First class toilet facilities and a great site with plenty of activities available. Really enjoyed the pitch and putt. Used the local pub/restaurant called the Mill which was really nice, friendly, good food and a good price. Peterchurch is the closest village although not a lot there and a fair walk down the main road. Hay and wye 10 miles away and very pretty. All in all campsite is excellent if you want a peaceful break but not to near anywhere if you want to walk.

Just spent a lovely six nights here , it was our second visit after doing 4 nights there last year.
As usual the staff are friendly and helpful , the facilities and shower blocks are 5-star and the pitches a generous size with electric & tv hook ups.
Playground was well kept - though with no kids did not use it, pitch and putt lovely condition and the dog walking field for dog owners like myself is a god send and fantastic.
Only real gripe is the distance from the toilets from the tent area which really puts you off drinking too much before bed. A smaller toilet only block down that end would be nice.
Other things onsite are the Pub/restaurant which is a little dated and the food a bit 'old fashioned' in my eyes - but some seemed to love it so it down to personal preference I guess.
Also , whilst the onsite farm shop is nice and can recommend their breads & ice cream especially far, far, far better meats along with possibly the nicest cider in the world can be found a minute drive away at Gwatkin :
I drank far too much and brought home a couple of gallons for good measure !
Overall a 9/10 experience and will be there again next year !

Spent 4 nights at this lovely site over the Bank Holiday weekend. The site is very pleasant and wonderfully maintained. Only a small area for tents but pitches were spacious with 16 amp electric hook ups. The toilets and shower block were being refurbished when we were there. The gents was finished and I have to say it was like being in a 4* hotel - extremely high standard and spotlessly clean. The ladies toilet and showers were in the process of being finished. Great spaces for the kids to play games in - pitch and putt, football etc away from the tent area.
Great base for visiting surrounding countryside with its wonderful views and walks.
Only gripes were that toilet block/showers are a bit of a distance from the tent area (although the route is well lit) which is a bit of nuisance in the middle of the night (after a few drinks) - was told that next project is to build toilets etc nearer the tent area - this would be great. There is no shop on site - local Spar (expensive) a mile or so away. Nearest supermarket is in Hereford some 20 minutes away by car. Meals at the Mill PH, located at the site entrance, are nice but a bit pricey although staff there were very friendly and welcoming. It was wet when we were there and unfortunately our ground sheet was filthy when we got it home because there were some bare patches on our pitch.
In conclusion a really nice site with fantastic (new) toilet/shower facilities and one which we would not hesitate to visit again.
