Second visit to this site this year - wondered whether it would live up to our first visit and it did not disappoint !
Facilities are excellent - toilet block always clean and hot, powerful showers.
Dog walk is huge with loads of space and plenty of buckets so no excuse not to pick up.
We were fortunate with the weather which was a bonus - will definitely return.

What a fantastic site ! The staff could not be more helpful and the facilities were always immaculate.
The off lead dog walk is enormous and there are waste buckets all around so no excuses for lazy owners not picking up after the pooch. There was a lot of rain during our stay but not once did the dog field or golf course seem to be muddy for which we were thankful.
We had a drink in the bar and, whilst we didn't dine, the food looked good.
There's not much to walk to in the area but we amused ourselves with a game of 9 hole pitch n put which was great fun !

Just returned from a Friday to Sunday weekend break at Poston Mill Park. It was a cold but dry November weekend but there had been quite a lot of rain earler in the week. Nevertheless the site was very clean and tidy. The facilities were spotless which was impressive as the site was surrounded by wet muddy fields. The staff were very friendly and helpful and showed us to our pitch and noted if we had any questions/ concerns to come and speak to them at reception. The site itself is by the river and there is lots available on site including golf, children's play area, dog walk and a lovely riverside walk. We have two dogs and there was loads of dog buckets so no one has any excuses for not picking up and I have to say there was no evidence that they had any irresponsible dog owners visiting. There is a lovely dog friendly pub virtually on site where we had a good meal on Saturday night served by friendly staff. I would imagine it gets busy in high season. The park is fairly isolated so no good for anyone who wants a more commercialised break. There is a shop on site but was closed till March 2017. The village of Peterchurch was a good walk over several fields which was an enjoyable walk but not sure you would want to carry much shopping from the little shop in the village. Mind the people next door to us had the right idea and had shopping delivered to their van from Asda. We were o. K because it was a short break. There was bus stop just outside the park but unable to comment on bus service or frequency as didn't use but would be useful for longer stay as we don't like to move our van once on site.
We had no mobile or internet signal so it really was a get away from it all weekend but we like that. The pitch was spacious and we had fully serviced which was great. There did seem a bit of lack of privacy between pitches as it felt like we could look straight into next doors caravan but that was a minor issue.
All in all a lovely site that we plan to visit again in 2017,

This is our second visit to Poston Mill and again we really enjoyed ourselves. This time we attempted croquet and the pitch & putt - great fun. The dogs had a lovely time in the dog running area and we found a couple of interesting footpaths straight from the site. The facilities are fine and we even had coffee in the mill. We would have had lunch butt he menu wasn't terribly inspiring, But the staff in there were lovely. Bought a few bits from the shop and the chap there couldn't have been nicer and the rolls were delicious too.

This was our first time at poston mills in our caravan this year and will definitely be a regular there.
The site had more than we could ask for. We had our two children and two dogs whom thoroughly enjoyed their stay and were never BORED. We had plenty to do and see! With regular walks by the river, park, showers, pub and even a bouncy castle with a live singer on a bank holiday. It has Fantastic facilities that were regularly checked and cleaned. It is very welcoming, very entertaining and very relaxing.
There wasn't anything more we could have wanted.
THANK YOU poston mills and team.
We will be back

Stayed here for 11 days. Lovely site, we had a really large hard standing serviced pitch which was lovely. The site is huge and mainly static caravans. The camping field is large and very flat, it wasn't very full at all whilst we were at the site.
We did find that most people we met had their tourers set up permanently or for the whole season so there was very little change over throughout our stay.
The play area was large with swings and climbing areas. Although I have teenagers so they only used the nets to play badminton.
The toilet block was lovely although there was a problem with the pressure on the showers for a couple of days and the water came out as a dribble. It was soon sorted and then they were great, clean and spacious. I never had to queue at all.
There is no phone signal at all, and we had to drive almost to Hay on Wye before picking one up, although apparently you can get a Vodafone signal in some parts of the park.
No Wifi, although you can pay for it. There is a pub on site and we had a few meals there which were lovely and the barman was really friendly and welcoming. We did use their free wifi too which was useful.
The dog walking area is great. A really large fenced off field with a little shelter and some areas of longer grass to break it up. There are also poo buckets placed around the edges which were very useful. Very well maintained as is the whole of the park. One of my dogs is a bit reactive to others but it was easy to stay in our own space and have a good throw of the ball.
We didn't use the croquet or football pitch but these were well maintained too.
The Pitch and Putt is fantastic fun. It's a huge field of 9 holes and lots of 'rough'. We spent quite a lot of the time sending our dog into the 'rough' to find our golf balls! Brilliant fun even though we were rubbish. It's free to play, you just need to leave a deposit. We had no idea which clubs to chose so ended up with a rather odd selection.
The park staff were all very helpful and friendly. There is a small shop which is only open Thursday to Monday 8-11:30am which seemed a bit odd a first. However you could get most things by asking at reception if the shop was shut.
We visited Hay on Wye and Hereford and did some lovely walks including the waterfalls near Glynneath. There is a walk from the campsite across fields and there is a river which you can walk along to. Altogether a lovely, very well maintained site. There is some road noise but it didn't distub me and I am a light sleeper and we were sleeping in the awning. We would definitely reccommend it to anyone wanting to explore the area.

We hadn't stayed here for a couple of years, so decided it was time for a revisit. The receptionists were very welcoming and we were soon settled in, which was a good job because storm 'Barney' arrived within minutes. It was really wild but the site is fairly well sheltered and thankfully the tall trees held up well!
We got soaked cycling the following day but the facilities are top notch and I reckon the showers are the best anywhere.
On the third night we went to the Mill restaurant and the meals were fantastic. There are new owners and a new chef and it was the best meal we've ever had there. Highly recommended.

This is our second visit and the welcome was very warm. The facilities are spotless and although there was quite a few tourers and tents on site over the weekend there was no queues for the toilets and showers. We have 2 dogs and the site is well set up for dogs, and the staff were pleased to see them about.
The shop is open till 11. 30am and if you have forgotten something the reception staff will open the shop at any time. The Mill bar and restaurant has new staff running it this year and what a difference it has made the quality is vastly improved. Dogs are allowed in the bar area but not in the restaurant upstairs as it is carpeted. The family running the Mill have a good chef and a willingness to please but are not open on Mondays or Tuesday and Wednesday evenings yet.
The site is very well kept and the exercise areas for the dogs is huge. They are out in the countryside with plenty of walks available but the surrounding towns are a fair distance away.
We will certainly recommend this site and stay again.

We arrived late due to motorway problems, just getting home from work before we set off. When we arrived at approx 8pm the lady on the sight couldn't have been more helpful (and sympathetic!) We needed to borrow an aerial lead because the signal is so weak here, she didn't charge us for that. Don't do like we did and follow the sat-nav. We had to ensure nail-biting narrow roads and blind bends - we came back via Hereford and the journey was no problem whatsoever. The site has the best dog field we have ever seen and the attention to detail is great. All around the site are 'doggie buckets' and hooks and benches, even outside the loo's! Scenery is lovely, although no views from inside your van unfortunately. A lovely walk around the static site gave us an insight into 'how the other half live' again sooo well maintained. There's a little shop on site which was well stocked and a pub/restaurant should you desire. Shame the weather wasn't better as we would have explored this lovely area some more but it was a great re-charge/get away from it all. Phone/internet signal was poor but you can buy a £5 internet card if you wish. Defo 10/10 site.
