Just returned from Bay View. We had booked a fully serviced pitch with views over the bay.
The site was good with a playground for the kids (position at the entrance needs looking at, maybe more central) games room, several toilet / shower blocks (all very basic, could do with modernising). The site is on very sloping terrain and was very windy I had to go and buy extra storm tie down straps, it was that fierce. Security was lax as any tom, dick or harry could just wander onto the site, no barrier or the like.

The tent area we pitched on is large and flat and well maintained. Another tent area with some electric hook-ups is situated near the entrance, this is quite slopy but with some flat areas at top and bottom, seemed popular with families as there is a playground area for children.
The toilet block and showers were situated very conveniently, a 2 minute trot and your there. They are modern, light, spacious and very clean. The showers are situated separately on the opposite side, no queuing in the toilet block. They too are well maintained and convenient.
The site was busy all weekend, and the weather was good. No unruly noise just us campers having a good time.
Really handy facilities all round area, tesco a few mins away, great for stocking up on fresh supplies. Chippies and chinese take-aways short drive away. The canal walk is brilliant, take a light camping chair with you have a sit down and enjoy the peace and quiet. If you feel energetic you can walk along the coast which leads to morecambe. Carnforth (Brief Encounter) station is very nostalgic, the exhibition is brilliant.
There a places to visit in all directions without having to drive for hours to get there.
We really enjoyed our stay here and will be returning very soon.

What a lovely campsite. Check in was quick and we found there was loads of space, even though there was a fair few campers the site didn't feel overcrowded.
The site is really well situated. Theres a supermarket just down the road. The kids really enjoyed the play area, and all the kids loved having mass water fights!
The only downside with it was the toilets/showers very dated.
We will definitely be returning though.

Visited site again over whit week & weekend.
This is a great location, base for Morecambe, Lancaster & lakes.
We were given choice of field by play area which slopes or main camping field which is flat. We went on main camping area.
Site was busy, kids have loads of area to play a games room, play area and field.
Toilets & showers are clean, staff friendly and helpful. Little shop on site does daily newspapers, Tesco and pubs nearby! Royal Hotel has children's play area in rear and is on canal.
Definitely one of our favourite sites & so handy will be going back soon

This site is well sited for both the seaside (Morecambe) and the Lake Dsitrict ( Lake Windermere only 40 mins away) Tescos is 10 mins drive away in Carnforth.
We would recommend The Royal Oak pub in Bolton le Sands for good pub grub.
The site has a lovely wooden play area on the bottom field and the pitches are well cared for although they are sloping. However, it is the cleanliness of the wash / shower / toilet areas that let this site down. This is a large campsite and well used by casual campers and regular caravanner's alike and the wash areas were not frequently cleaned during the day. In the Ladies area there was no soap available. There was little hot water for pot washing, which was being done by some visitors, in the face / hand washing basins.
If these important facilities were improved we would return to this site in the future.

Just come back from bank holiday weekend, this is our second visit and I can honestly say I cant fault it. The minute you arrive the friendly staff are there for you, checking you in and then showing you where you are situated and if you need help. We were facing the bay which was fantastic because it was a last minute booking, so were very pleased with this. The toilets and showers are very clean, the shop is small but have a good stock of necessities and you can order your papers the day before, there is a tesco nearby if you need bigger things We had a lovely meal at the royal hotel, not far away and some lovely walks with Morecambe a short drive away I recommend this site and will be booking again shortly

What a find! Lovely site in great location.
Well maintained pitches and great facilities.
Best shower facilities I've seen in years in main field - immaculately clean and also have disabled facilities (a rarity and much appreciated!). Whilst I didn't check them out, apparently there is a 2nd shower block on the non-electric hook-up field but these aren't quite as good (would be hard to match!)
Great kids play area - suitable for toddlers right up to 9 / 10 year olds I'd say.
Location is excellent - right on the beach and within a short bike ride of lovely marina and also Eastbourne and all it has to offer (plenty for little ones).
Well stocked little shop on site offering services such as phone charging and ice pack freezing.
The only negative point I would make is that the tent pitches on the main field seemed a bit small - We were two parties each with a mid-sized 4-man tent and with these and the cars parked on the pitch we were pretty much overlapping. I suspect the pitches in the other field might be more roomy as we'd specifically asked to be near to our friends in their motorhomes and they obviously don't need quite the same pitch width as tent & car. But it wasn't a problem as we all know each other - might be more of a issue tripping over a strangers guy ropes!
But this didn't detract from our view of this as an excellent site and one of our party has already booked to go back in a fortnight!

Visited over the last bank holiday weekend. Generally a nice site and nice staff. We were placed at the top of the hill and the wind was just a bit too chilly to sit out unfortunately but the views were good ;0)
The site was quite busy as expected but a lot of the seasonals were empty- spoke to a guy in one of the static homes who was happy with the £175 for 3 days he paid and lovely they look inside too!
We went to Morecambe and thought it was really nice & travelled to barrow but not quite so nice ;0)
We went in search of a pub and turned right at the main road (the nearest one is left of course) but couldn't find the entry up onto the canal so carried on along the main road for a while till we found a pub and had a bevy, decided to try a short cut on the way back and turned left (for the old bolton homes farm ?) walked down to the bottom of the road and along, the gateway is blanked off but the footpath continues along and we went through the gate and up past the farm house. All in all quite a pleasant stay and quite reasonable (without an awning) at £16 a night

Just got back from a 3night stay, it was a lovely site with friendly staff who greeted us on arrival and showed us our pitch. We had electric as it was need the nights are still cold and heaters was in order. The pitch we was given was a good location as we had 3 children and was right next to the play area and we was able to watch them from our tent at all times. The shower and toilet blocks was the best iv seen and was cleaned every morning. We as campers love to have a fire at night and there was some slight confusion over the fire we had. It states no open fires on their terms and conditions that to me means a small and contained fire is allowed but really I think they didn't want us to have the fire but couldn't stop us as it never said NO fires. A short walk on the canal to a lovely pub was on the door step as well as a short drive into the nearest town all in all a very good site and we will be visiting the site again later in the year.
