Went away for weekend the first site ws not suitable so off we went looking for some where else turn up here after 7 and enquired if room at first they said no and my hubby ask if there was somewhere they recommended she said lots of place were full but they had a seasonal pitch we could use. Was shown to the pitch was a nice one not far from the park and games room was told to set up then go down and pay. It was very reasonable priced asked if we put the awning up the following day could we pay then and was told yes also sister in law was coming and they said they would save a non electric tent pitch. The weather was not good very rainy and very windy bu lovely views nice place nice wardens very helpful. Once 10 pm arrived it was quiet will go back and recommend it for a nice quiet break but site is windy. All facilities were good just recommend another chemical disposal point morecambe not far and neither is carnforth. Good walking areas for dogs. No pub but not need can go either way to find one.

Nice site with very friendly staff, very clean toilets and showers. The site gets busy really quick over the weekend though, so I would book well in advance.
Only down side was the ground for the pitching of our tent, the ground is on a hill o you have to sleep on an angle.
But besides this, the play area is one of the best we have seen whilst camping.

This was our first time camping, and found this site by chance. We only stayed the 1 night but found the site fantastic, the field was very big and grass was cut very short which was great for the children to play in. The toilets and shower block were spotless and very well lit. Kids loved the play area and the games room was an added bonus for them.Very cheap at £12 per night, and we will definitely be going back, weather permitting!

Just returned from a weekend at Bolton Holmes, this site is only a ten minute drive from Morecambe. The site was lovely and clean. The owners were very friendly and shown us directly to our pitch. The field we stayed on was Field A, which did slope and the pot washing facilities was a good walk away. The toilets was very clean, there was only 1 shower in this block. This site is a farm so be ready to be woken up by the cockerals! They had a couple of childrens play ares which was great for our kids, there is also a games room with a pool table and a few arcade games. There is no club on this site, which was great so the evenings was quite and had no drunks running around keeping you awake. We will definitely be going back.

Just returned from a wonderful weekend here.
The site is very clean with modern facilities. A nice new playground and gamesroom to keep the kids occupied in the lovely British weather.
The staff are wonderful, showing us to our pitch and helping set us up on our maiden voyage.
The shop (or cupboard) is deceiving, having everything you could ever want including farm fresh meat and reasonably priced ice creams and the receptionist was really friendly.
Some lovely walks nearby, particularly along the canal (which is hidden behind a busy main road) with a great pub whichever way you walk, the Royal to the right, which is great home cooked food and the canal turn right, we only had a snack here so can't comment on the food but it smelled nice! Tesco is minutes away and the best fish and chips i've ever had just up the road, although prepare for a queue!
All in all a terrific site, even the horrific weather we had couldn't spoil it and we'll definitely be back.

Just returned from a weekend at detrongate, we were in a tent. We found all the staff very helpful and booking in was quick & easy. The site itself was very clean, the toilet blocks are basic but very clean at all times the childrens play area was mainley for children over 5yrs. The site is central for walking to local pubs in the area, and plenty of places to eat out if needed. There was some stunning views of the lake district & morecombe bay, we will be returning again this year.

Just returned from this site and it was lovely.
When we arrived help was at hand immediately, and a nice man shown us to our pitch.
We were situated on a hill close to the children's playground and Games room. Although we allowed our children the freedom to play at the playground and games room it would be fair to say that they are situated on the road leading into the site and there is a slight blind bend where a lot of children ran out into quite often. We found a cone and placed it there to help but someone kept moving it !We just couldn't help feeling slightly worried about this, especially as so many cars felt the need to speed at this point.
The site shop was very handy and the lady that works there is very nice and friendly.
Our electric cut out twice, but the site helpers sorted this out quickly.
A very nice and very clean site with excellent facilities.

We have just returned from this campsite. We had a excellent time and was happy when we arrived to know that this site is part of the holgates group.
Our 2 dogs enjoyed the extensive walking routes nearby, the facilities on site are excellent with warm electric showers, laundy room and a free iron to use, You can even walk down the canal to Lancaster or Carnforth, or walk down the Coastal Way to Morcombe and Heysham and beyond enjoying cafes on the route which serve breakfasts and drinks along the routes.
Staff on site are welcoming and are willing to help in what ever way they can to make your stay pleasant. We travelled from Blackpool and I finished work at 4pm and did not arrive till 8pm. On arrival we was just impressed with the location and the site been very clean and tidy.
They are pubs not to far from the campsite and local Tesco and Co-Operative in Carnforth.
We found the campsite shop prices very good for your essential items.
We even found other guests to be friendly and would always say hello when you passed and even
Asked if you need help to assemble your tent on arrival.
The Toilets were very clean and always clean they were alot around the site, and showers around the site were clean.
Highly Recommended For anybody who want to loose themselves in beautiful surroundings and to chill out.
We will be returing again in the near future as we had a wonderful time and thankyou to all staff on site for making our stay a pleasant one.

We stayed for a long weekend right at the beginning of June in our trusty Dandy folding camper. We really liked this site, peaceful pitches round the outside of field and £16 per night including electric for family of four was very reasonable. It's a bit a of a walk for water, toilets, showers etc, there aren't many of these either but I never had to wait to use them and it was nice to be away from the facilities and enjoy the site. We never saw the owners but everything seemed to run smoothly. We went to Morecambe, 10 mins away and Lake Windemere in 30 mins so if you want clean, quiet, spacious and very central for Morecambe, Lancaster, Lakes etc highly recommended.

Just stayed here for the second May bank holiday. The site was full but it was pretty quiet, the railway line passes nearby and although we could hear it; I never found it intrusive. The tents and caravan are mixed in together, not something that bothers us but I know it does some. The facilities are basic and could do with bringing up to date a little but they were clean.
The part of the site we were on sits on the side of a small valley and does slope quite a bit. Not a real problem with a caravan as the staff are very helpful and provided blocks for the front legs and there is a flatter area at the top where the motorhomes were. It didn't seem to cause the tents too much trouble either.
It's well situated for Morecambe, Lancaster and the South Lakes etc. The small games room was described as 'Ok' by my 13year old daughter and there is talk of a swimming pool being built. The beach, or grass as it now mostly is; is just a short walk through the site
As I said, the staff were very helpful to us and could be seen around the site regularly, they were also checking vehicles entering the site in the evening which I was quite impressed with.
It's a nice, quiet site that we will be returning to.
