Very good site owner, very friendly & helpful. Its quite a narrow lane for about 3/4 of a mile before the site, I wouldn't want to meet another unit on this road. The whole site is on a hill & most of the pitches aren't level, I would recommend taking some leveling blocks with you. The pitches do vary in size too. The toilets are very dated but clean, we didn't use the shower facilities but once again they looked very dated, so we were happier using our shower in the caravan. Overall this is a good site, we have been to better & been to a lot worst, we would be more than happy to return to this site.

We stayed here with 2 other families and had a wonderful week. The owners were very friendly and helpful, the shop adequately stocked and someone always on hand if you needed help. Both toilets and showers great especially the ladies toilets, they were lovely. The views from the campsite were wonderful with a lovely walk at the back of the site. There are some great places to visit, we went to Grassington, Bolton Abbey (the stepping stones were great fun) and the kids had a paddle in the stream in Burnsall. A word of warning, in agreement with another review, our pitch was much too stony for a tent. After reading the other review saying the groundsheet ripped, we spent £30 on an extra groundsheet that fitted our tent. Despite this we noticed that half way through the week the bottom of the tent was starting to suffer and would have ripped if the owner hadn't given us many carpet tiles to put under our tent. If I had a touring caravan or motorhome I wouldn't hesitate to return, but with our tent would have to check which pitch we were going to be given. Having said that it didn't ruin our holiday and it was a lovely site.

Great staff, helpful and friendly. No problem with pitch, pushed the pegs in it was that soft and relatively level! one minute walk to showers and toilets (if that). Showers/toilets in serious need of refurbishment, but still clean and with hot water. Site is a bit of a trek off the main road but that's why you go on holiday, to do some walking and after a few beers its not that bad. Within easy drive of Bolton abbey/Skipton etc and some lovely countryside everywhere you look. Nice separate playing field for dog walking and kids ball games etc. No problems with noise after 10.30pm, well except for the guy next door snoring! Would definitely visit again

Just returned from a three night stay. We really had a fantastic time. We stayed on the tent field with hook up and had a really peaceful time. There is a large field opposite the tent area that you can play games on or just to let the kids have a good run. The showers are basic but clean and there is a shop on site. All in all a great site

Don't know where all the other people stayed that have left reviews but here goes. Toilets were too far away showers and washing up area in same place. Ground not level and ridiculously rocky tents on pitches with ehu where on hard standing, stupid for tents ripped ground sheet 3 times. Got placed next to snicket, very intrusive area Lovely owners friendly and helpful but would not return

Very clean facilities, though showers and hairdryers are all 20p meters. Key is needed for the toilets and showers, although I believe the men's toilets were never locked. Pitches quite good size and some have a lovely stream running around the edge of the field, lovely to listen to first thing in the morning. There is a footpath that runs through the middle of the field, but we never found this to be a problem. Playground looked more than adequate, owners very helpful and quite laid back. Would definitely visit again, although wouldn't be brave enough to attempt to get a caravan up the very narrow lane, but don't let that put you off as its only a very short piece that's narrow.

A great site. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, it's the first time I have ever been asked if we wanted morning papers delivered (I am going to apply for the job as paperboy!) The site itself is well laid out with plenty of room for the largest tent. The facilities are centred around the farm and are excellent. Toilets and showers are extremely clean and well maintained. There are plenty of places for kids to explore and the dogs even have their own area. Well worth a visit, it is certainly one of the sites on our "return to" list.

A very well run campsite with large well marked pitches. Toilet block excellent, however ladies showers had no sinks so you had to have your shower and then walk across the courtyard to the toilet block to have a wash etc! Very unusual. Men's showers had sinks! Very friendly owners and well stocked shop. The only drawback was after a days walking you had at least a one mile walk each way to the local pub up a long dark lane! The one we visited was part of the Long Ashes campsite. Beer etc well priced however not your usual pub fare, quite upmarket and limited menu. The other pub I believe also sells similar food. Overall had a very pleasant stay but if you're looking for a good local pub for a meal on an evening and are not wanting to drive be prepared for a long walk at the end of the night! It would be perfect in high summer to have a BBQ and a few beers as a gorgeous setting.

This was our families first camping trip and was thoroughly enjoyable. Wood Nook is a warm and friendly campsite. All the main facilities are located in a central court yard which makes the washing up duties more of a social event. The camping ground is well arranged with individual pitches and is located away from the touring and static vans. This gives a feeling of togetherness with your fellow tenters! Pitches are generally flat and level and you are able to select your own pitch on arrival. George the boxer enjoyed his own separate dog walking area where he could catch up on the days events with his fellow camping canines. A great site we will definitely pay a return visit.

What a great site! 2 adults and 2 kids. The playground was lovely for the children, elevated slightly away from the caravans it what in a great location. Even though we dont have a dog my 2 sons to great pleasure in taking me for a stroll around the dog walk, which was very pleasant, to the extent that they took themselves off in the morning after breakfast for a morning stroll! The toilets were pristine and very well looked after, although the showers could do with a little updating, they were still very clean. 20p for 6 mins, cant complain at that!
The reception doubles as a small shop with a small variety of items but just the things you need, including fresh homemade cakes and buns(can highly recommend the caramel squares!). There are even hot drinks available in the courtyard, I think for walkers, as a few pass through the site. A small information shed displays lots of leaflets for the surrounding area.
The pitch was of a generous size and the owner very kindly helped my husband onto the pitch with the van. The t.v reception is poor, but then again you are surrounded by beautiful countryside so why sit in watching t.v, again you may struggle with the satelite as there are a lot of trees and hills surrounding the site.
Overall a very nice site, reasonably priced, would definitely return and recommend. Keep up the good work.
