This has been our 10th visit to the site since we found it 2 years ago. It's the best site in the UK we have been to for Customer Service, friendly and efficient and exceptional cleanliness. The shower block is fine and due to National Park restrictions they have done a fantastic job with it. The ladies toilets are fantastic with fresh flowers and hand cream. The cakes in the shop are as good as ever and now they have their own red and white wine which was surprisingly addictive! Booked 3 more visits for this year before they get booked up. If you love camping this site is a must or you have not lived! Thank you to the Thompson family for all there help, nothing is too much trouble, they make it look very effortless. The kids love the play area and balls game field and with Grassington only being 2 miles away its worth it for such a pretty place with good pubs. The Game Keeper pub 10 mins walk away does excellent food and lovely patio area to sit out on a warm Spring evening. The best pub by far is the Clarendon at Hebden 3 miles away. The portions are amazing and desserts homemade. Looking forward to May's visit already.

I should have realised when I had to pay a £5 deposit for the key for the toilet block (in addition to the £5 a night for a pitch) that the toilets were going to be something special. And they were, they wouldn't be out of place in a posh hotel, they even had separate sink cubicles with soap and moisturiser in them. Aside from the toilet block, the pitch itself was a bit overly stony in places, and it was a real battle to get my pegs in. But that was the only real downside, the pitch was of generous size, the site shop was well stocked, and the playground and dog walk were nice touches, and the potential surrounding walks offered great possibilities. Perhaps slightly isolated from pubs and shops, it's about 2-3 miles from Grassington, and 1-2 from Threshfield, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, and if it's nice weather it's a pleasant walk to either of them.

Lovely site in a tremendous setting. Everything kept spotless although the showers really need updating. Friendly owners with a nice little shop, wireless internet for those that need it and very kid friendly. he Old Hall pub in the village does really good food. Will definitely go back

After making a late decision to go away for the bank holiday I phoned around dozens of sites unsuccessfully, so when I was successful at this site, it made me wonder why? Well I shouldn't have worried We had a fantastic weekend, the site was clean and well kept but still had charm and character. The shop is well stocked and well priced, toilets are super! The kids enjoyed the park and huge ball field, and the dog loved the fantastic dog walk. We walked to the Old Hall Inn for a meal which was lovely.

What a beautiful site. Friendly staff, shop stocks all you may need, great kids play area and lots of beautiful walks. Pitches clearly marked out and very generously sized. Toilets and cubicles for wash basins lovely and clean. Showers in need of an upgrade but are kept clean and fresh. All in all, fab weekend had by all! Nearby Skipton has a great swimming pool for the kids. Grassington great for pubs and walking.

Lovely site, with fantastic views over Grassington and beyond. Lots of lovely walks from the doorstep. As it was the middle of the school holidays, there were lots of kids running around, and they were quite noisy - but this all stopped at around 10pm. toilets and showers are clean, with plenty of hot water in the showers for your 20p. However, the toilets, showers & water supply are a long way from the camping field, and they have a key system in use to enter the facilities, which can be a nuisance if there are two of you, wanting the ladies & gents at the same time - also if you walk all that way, then find that you have left your key in the tent! Otherwise, a good site.

Second visit to this site. We really like it, lovely location lots of rabbits running round if you visit the loo during the night. Toilet and shower blocks spotlessly clean with fresh flowers. Nice cakes and biscuits in the shop. Only one niggle no ball games on tent site, some children were playing tennis and football in front of our tent all evening on Friday. We complained, the owner came down but the games still continued. However he must have said something else on Saturday as they did not play them. Would highly recommend this site and I am sure we will be visiting again.

Just spent one night at this site, and would recommend to anyone, very well run, very friendly and the facilities are very clean if not modern. The camping field is generally very flat with well marked out pitches. I would also recommend the Old Hall pub about a mile and a quarter away in Thresfield, has a beer garden, although we did not eat their it looked good and was very busy. You can get there by a footpath across the fields.

Wood Nook has to be one of the best campsites I have ever visited, fantastic rural settings, very friendly owners, plenty of room for your tent. I took hook up with me so was in top field with tourers, there is a lovely field round back of buildings for tents - wish they had hook up there.
The toilets and showers are spotless. There is a little park for kids, mine are a little too old for it but did not stop them exploring the rocks and woodland surrounding us and if you have had enough of lazing by your tent its not too far to Grassington. If you like walking your in the right place.
We will be coming back but going to book early because this place wont be short of guests. Forgot to mention the little shop on site - everything you need at fair prices fantastic place go there

Visited this site for the Easter weekend and really enjoyed our time there. There is a shop on site selling all the basics and the staff are all very friendly. The toilets were spotless and must be cleaned constantly. The showers were also spotless but as has been mentioned on previous reviews they arent the most modern I've seen but the hot water was plentiful for the 20p and thats what we use them for. The best thing for us though was the location its superb and teeming with wildlife. We will return without a doubt.
