My wife and I have just returned from spending a week at this peach of a site. Ms Funky enjoyed all the animals and countryside whilst I could have stood and watched them drilling for water, quite happily.
All joking apart, you won't find a better site at the price! Everything is kept up to a very high standard and the pitches are massive. We will certainly be going back

Lovely site, flat clearly marked pitches, wide enough for a 4 berth tent, day room and a car. We were next to the trees so had a bit of protection, we were on pitch 2.
There are 2 dog walking areas, one short one longer.
Toilets and showers and washing up facilities are all excellent, (as above says)they are next to the milking shed so you get to see the cows queueing in the morning and evening to be milked.
The track down to the showers is also used by the farm so can look a bit messy, but it is concrete, so it is not a muddy track.
Trevor and Angela and farm staff all friendly and there to help if needed they will freeze ice packs for you.
There were a mix of vans and tents on the site with children of all ages and a lot of people had dogs with them.
The only downside to our trip were the elements, which can't be helped. We had to pitch in a thunderstorm and heavy rain, and it didn't really let up, only stayed 2 nights as the weather was so bad and very very windy.
But will definitely go back as the site and the area are very good and you are almost next to the Hole of Horcum.
Only £8 per night for a tent, well worth a visit we opted for no EHU but it looked like all the pitches did have EHU points.

Stayed on this site for three nights. The toilet/shower block is one of the best I have seen. The staff are very friendly & helpful and take time out of their busy day to chat & explain what is happening around the farm. We were lucky enough to see calf being born (an amazing experience) I would recommend this site to anyone & will certainly be going back again.

Visited Marfit after it was recommended by a work colleague. We were not disappointed, nothing is too much trouble for Angela & Trevor. The toilet/shower failities are extremely clean and the new block will be ready in mid July. The farm animals are great for a family with young children. Good walks nearby and also near to coastal areas. Pickering is about 7 miles away which has the usual takeaways and shops. We found costcutters a lot cheaper than the co-op.

Went to marfit head over the may Bank holiday we have been lots of times to this area and would return to marfit head again. The toilet block was always clean and plenty of warm water when having a shower. There is another block being built at the moment which will be good. There are lots of places to visit and the coast isn't too far from the campsite. My children loved the site and the children who live on the farm, Trevor and Angela, are lovely people too, cant wait to visit again soon. For the price of the site and the size of the pitches this is excellent value for money campsite. Will be returning with family and friends next time.

We've just spent three nights here for a short break near to home. As already stated, a great site, very clean washroom and toilets in fact cleaner than my own! Even though the site was full, we had the last pitch. Very large pitches our car trailer and 5mtr bell tent were lost on our pitch. There was an Idaho XL with extension next to us, and they still had loads of room. Looking forward to our next visit later in the year. Thanks to Angela & Trevor for a great time.

What can I say, a perfect, peaceful site, very clean. Very friendly owners Trevor and Angela, toilet block excellent. My children really enjoyed milking the cows and collecting the eggs with Ben We can't wait to go in the summer holidays, fresh eggs each morning who could ask for more

Visited this site with a friend lovely place to stay good shelter out of the wind if you pick your pitch carefully . Owners exceptionally friendly and take the time to talk . Toilets clean and tidy showers very good . Good value for money and in a great location if you enjoy walking and mountain biking . Only complaint I would have which the owners told me about is they are very hard to get hold of to book in unless you email well in advance that being said they are a working farm and very busy so its not a complaint as such just something to think about when booking . Love the site would definitely stay again .

We arrived at 15.00 hours on a Friday, we found the pitch a bit awkward to reverse onto due to the wet conditions, however I was okay with it, but the farmers wife Angie told me just to drive around the top and onto the pitch which was most helpful.
The facilities are exceptionally good, nice warm shower and toilet block (cleaned quite a few times a day by the look of it) lots of hot water, only a minor complaint, you have to plod through the cow dirt and mud outside the toilet area, but it is a country site anyway which did not spoil our stay.
It is a working Farm and I think the owners are improving things on the site continually, when we were at Marfit, the farmer and his children were building a pen for the various animals they have which the visiting children would love (some unusual looking goats - small pigs - chickens etc.
The area is really nice even on dull days, Pickering and Thornton -le - dale etc are well worth a visit some interesting shops and galleries, Cropton and Dalby forests are worth a spending some time in, and not too far to Whitby.
To summarize our time at Marfit Head Farm: Nice Site and a great area, we will be returning regularly, and we must congratulate the owners on the effort they put in so that visitors can enjoy the site and surroundings.

We stayed at Marfit Head Farm for four days. It was our first site with our new van, and we found it most peaceful, convenient for village shops / markets, and was close enough for trips to Whitby & Scarborough. Farmer Trevor and his wife went out of their busy schedule to accommodate our every need and to make sure our stay was a happy one. We enjoyed the Donkey's miniature goats and hens that are very tame towards people.
The toilet/shower block was adequate with plenty hot water for showers etc. For the size of the site, and we were told that a new block was to be built soon to accommodate the top field customers. We will definitely be visiting this site again sooner than later.
