What a gem of a site, enclosed in a superb setting within a historic castle grounds and just a short stroll into abergeli. The owner checked us in and took us to our pitch with ehu. There are 2 facilities blocks which were very clean with with plenty of hot water, they also run a small animal farm ideal for children. A 5 minute walk to the shops a ten minute walk takes you to the beach. And a 10 minute drive to colwyn bay. We would highly recommend this site to all units.

We arrived on a Monday and stayed for 3 nights. The weather was perfect. Guy greeted us on arrival and directed us to the various areas on site we could pitch. We chose to pitch on the hill towards the back of the site with a view over to the sea in the distance. We were slightly disappointed to find quite a bit of rubbish around the side (within the bushes etc) which we cleaned up ourselves. Apart from that, the toilet/shower facilities were spot on. No coins required for the shower. The biggest bonus at this site was it had a freezer! very handy to re freeze those ice blocks! Tescos is 10 min walk away. Local pubs again within 10 minutes. Best pint of ale at the George and Dragon although no beer garden. Best garden at the Bee Hotel and also the Harp. Food wise the chinese restaurant was great and would recommend, we also ate at the Bull which was OK. We walked in the area too and use the ordinance survey map for the area. It was a great location and a really great campsite.

What a superb family run site. Good clean facilities. Level pitches with stunning panoramic views. Lots to see and do for all ages. Pensarn beach a short drive away. Abergele town a short walk to shops, tesco, pubs, restaurants etc etc. A good place to walk or to ride your bike, either up to the old castle or down to the seafront where you can walk/ride to Rhyl and beyond one way - or to Llandudno the other way. Easy, safe traffic free walking or riding.
We have our caravan sited for the Summer season (this is our 2nd Summer ) absolutely love it here.

Excellent site, well managed and clean with good facilities, short walk into Abergele with lots of pubs, restaurants, shops and a Tesco supermarket. Good location for touring. Near to the ruins of a castle/house built in the 19th century the one you see on the hills overlooking the A55. Good level pitches, many with electric hookup. Lots of animals to see such as goats, pigs, rabbits etc. Friendly and helpful staff who always seemed to be busy working to improve things. The addition of Wi-Fi facility would be a bonus for the future.

When we book a site we look for the facilities listed and the area. This site ticked all the boxes. The site layout is good, toilet block very good with friendly owners. When we arrived the pitch was not serviced ( grass far to long for the growing season} and when it was cut you could have made silage with the grass cuttings. \There was a sign saying that the owners were proud of the the recycling. Boy was that a joke. The bins were full when we arrived on the Friday and were not emptied until the following Wednesday. There was no bins for the plastic, paper or cardboard and the glass bottles and tin cans were just a mess.
The owner told me that it was his second year in charge after his father had passed away suddenly and was in the process of 'work in progress'.
Would we return, Yes if after these comments they will have us. In my view as my school report said - can do better

Very pleased to arrive, a bit later than planned after a long trek, the owners were very friendly and directed us to the pitch, allowed us to pitch up before taking payment for holiday.
The site was well looked after and the services were clean and tidy, the site had been rained on heavily before we had arrived and was a little boggy in the field closest to the entrance, we stayed in the upper field close to the service block which was noisy in the mornings but had the advantage of not having to walk far to use facilities.
The owners brought out Welsh cakes one day, which were very tasty and welcome treat. Our youngest son enjoyed the animals around the farm.
The site being fairly central for North Wales meant we could visit sites around the coast and to Chester. The walk to the sea front through Abergele was flat and there were various cafe's and shops for food and drinks along the front.
I would recommend the site to anyone visiting North Wales, being friendly and fairly small.

A work in progress the facilities were simple but very functional, with very clean toilets, showers and washing facilities. Plenty of hookups available as well.
Based on a farm there are goats chickens and pigs which the children can pet and feed on site. Lots of open space and situated almost in the shadow of Gwrych Castle.
We stayed on the north field which was laid to grass seed this year. Sadly due to the unusually poor spring weather the grass had not grown properly. As a result of this and a very wet week the pitch got a bit muddy. Staff were excellent and provided support to those tents affected.
I have to say though that the bad weather in no way bothered us as we went along the coast to visit the sites following the sun to Caernarfon Castle crabbing off the quay and Green Wood Park.
We would definitely recommend this site to anyone planning a visit to the area, with its great value for money, friendly staff and great facilities. We will be returning in the future and wish Manorafaon Farm Touring and Camping all the best for the future! Thanks guys!

What a lovely site, ideally situated to walk either to the beach or into the town where there are few pubs and eateries. The site itself is very well maintained the showers and toilets are excellent very clean and new. This site is excellent also if you have children with you loads of space and an animal farm. Right next to the golf course and in the grounds of the castle (in ruins unfortunately but lovely to walk up and see ) Would certainly book this site again.

Hi folks. Spent may bank hol weekend here. Fri - sun. What cracking weather and what a cracking site. Its views of the golf course and grych castle were a lovely touch. Our pitch was great with a boundary fence making us feel quite private. The toilets/shower block very clean. Also dish washing facility. It was a busy bank hol weekend but always felt very quiet and laid back at night it was very quiet thanks to our other fellow campers. We went there on a few recommendations and will deffo be going back again. The young lady who met us at reception and took us to our pitch, in which we pretty much had the choice of were to pitch was a lovely touch and we only saw her a few times after that. We like the fact that the owners left us alone to enjoy our weekend. The site is in a prime location for abergele town. Tescos and handy if you want to explore other areas nearby. Thanks manorafon for a superb site. A friendly welcome. Look forward to returning soon.

This is the third time my wife and I have been to this lovely campsite in our Mazda Bongo and it is a great place with friendly and helpful owners
It is within 10 mins walk of the centre of Abergele and if you fancy not getting your stove out one morning there is a cracking cafe (Abergele Grill) just opposite the Tesco's which is at the bottom of the campsite lane.
The toilet and shower block is more than adequate and there are improvements being made year on year.
As has been stated there are great views towards the castle or across to the sea. All in all a lovely place and we shall be returning shortly.
