Just got back from a 9 night stay here and its got to be one of the best sites we have ever stayed on. Arrived Bank holiday Monday and were told to just find a pitch and pay when we were ready. Its only £14 per night and £1 extra per night if you have an awning. Very refreshing that they don't charge for dogs.
Richard and lola the owners are a lovely couple and nothing is too much for them. Some of the pitches even have a sea view which we loved as we were around 3/4 mile from the sea.
Toilets and showers were spotless and very well maintained. All in all its a great site which is also very quiet and relaxing. Abergele is only 10 mins away as is Tesco so its easy for shopping etc. We will be back very soon and are already looking forward to it.
PS. We were visited every day by around 8 ducks who did the rounds for scraps of bread etc.

I have just got back from 1 nights stay at this site and I don't have a bad word to say about it! When we arrived, we were greeted by the owner, Richard, who was lovely! He allowed us to pitch our tent wherever we wanted as it was not a full site, and didn't even charge us for the electric hook up(we paid just £10.50 for 2 ppl, tent and car)!
The site itself is small, but there's plenty of land around it if you want a quiet walk with amazing views! We went to Colwyn Bay (which is a 2minute drive away), and walked up to Gwrych Castle (which is the backdrop of the camp site and only a 5minute walk up the footpath).
The castle is closed to the public as its derelict but we sneaked through and had a wander round. I would definitely recommend this! Its said to be one of the most haunted buildings in Britain so that adds to the visit!
Back to the site itself, it is spotless and the toilets and showers are the best I've ever seen in a campsite! They're large and warm, very clean and showers hot! All in all, brilliant site (although small) in a brilliant location! Definitely go back again!

We went on our first weekend with our motorhome and enjoyed it here. There were several places to walk our dogs, including up behind the old castle through the woods, a nearby park on the way to the beach, and the beach. Also we went for a walk to Tesco one night, its a pleasant road to walk along and only about 10 minutes, very handy.
There was a party of some kind at the golf club and one or two patrons were shouting, but it didn't spoil our time there, everything else was good!

My boyfriend and I (25 & 29) stayed at this site for 2 nights, I wish it was more! What a beautiful setting! The owners were lovely and very helpful.
The facilities were always very clean. 2 showers and 5 toilets. I have 4 showers during my stay and didn't have to queue once. The pitches were spacious and generally flat where we pitched, although there was a very hilly area.
We were a little loud at about half 11 as some friends visited and the owner very politely asked us to be a little more quiet.
It was a good price £10.50 per night for a 6 berth tent 2 adults and a car. We will be going back soon, we loved it here. Beautiful setting, great facilities

We have just returned from a three night stay at this site, the weather was excellent and sunburn was the order of the trip.
There is very little to add to the other reviews, there is a great bus service to Llandudno and Rhyl running every 12 minutes as well as a frequent rail service.
There is lots to see and do in this area, we shall definitely be calling again.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was our first camping trip. The owners were very friendly and the site is very clean. The facilities which include toilets and showers are very modern clean and in good working order.
Price was very reasonable and there are washing up facilities. The location is good and very peaceful with nice views towards the coast. We enjoyed our time and have booked another weekend in may

Just got back from a relaxing bank holiday weekend.
Fantastic site, set neatly in the most wonderful surroundings. It all appears when you enter through the castle gates and you could be anywhere you imagine, the old castle makes a breathtaking backdrop backed by the tree covered mountains.
On arrival I was met by the owner who offered me a choice of pitches and casually told me to drop by and pay for the weekend at my leisure. Perfectly flat new hardstanding and a newly turfed side pitch, brand new shower block and basic but more than adequate facilities. It even had it's own little collection of goats and hens etc, much to the amusement of my four little dogs, who I may add, lived rent free as there is no charge for dogs!
Shops, including a large Tesco, were a brisk 10 minute walk away and the beach probably a 20 minute walk (maybe a bit quicker but for the many lampost stops for the dogs).
Worth a walk up past the golf course to the castle, breathtaking views from the top of the castle although it is now in a state of ruin and partly sectioned off.
A real jewel in the crown and a definite addition to my list of regular jaunts in the future

Just spent a weekend here and really enjoyed it.
Very clean site with spotless facilities.
The shower block/toilet block looked brand new
All caravan pitches are hardstanding and for £13.50 including 16amp hook up a night it was a bargain.
Tescos is only about a 5 minute walk away for everything you could need.
Beach at abergele is less than 5 mins drive (could walk it in about 15 mins)
Really close for llandudno, rhyl etc.
The views from the site are lovely. The sea in the distance. The castle behind, golf course next door and a lovely tree covered mountain to the left.
Very nice
Very friendly and helpful owners.
We will return

This was our first foray into caravanning, and on the whole I found this to be a great site! We chose it because it is only a couple of miles from where we live, and being our first time, we wanted to be close to home in case anything went wrong. We found the owners to be most helpful, and very friendly, providing us with blocks to level the 'van (never occurred to us that we might need them! still, you live and learn!). Our two daughters enjoyed themselves immensely, making 'dens' in some of the hollow trees on the site, and visiting the resident chickens, ducks and goats! The only downside to this camp I can think of is the pitches are not level, now whether this is the norm or not I have yet to find out, but some friends of ours said the hard-standing pitches should be flat and level. Other than that the fees seemed quite cheap, and the toilet/shower block was lovely and clean.

Just come back from a wonderful weekend at this site. The owners are so friendly and helpful, showing us to our pitch, which was HUGE! Site is beautiful with the castle in the background, we were gobsmacked when the milkman came round to make deliveries and then an ice cream van, so the kids were more than happy! The toilet facilities are spotless, and gallons hot water, totally loved the place. Family joined us on the saturday for a bbq and were welcome too and they were amazed at how lovely the site was. We will definitely be coming back, thinking of a down side and I cant think of anything, 10 outta 10! We love Manorafon just wish could move the whole site nearer to Blackpool so we can visit more often
