We found this an excellent site. Our first time here and been camping for years. We had a large tent, dog and our very young daughter with us. The owners are very helpful and the site is kept spotless, including the showers and toilets. It was very windy when we were there, but we enjoyed it immensely. The location is perfect for anything in North Wales and with Abergele being so close, if You forget anything, You can walk into town or pick it up on Your way out or back. We will return. Many times I feel. Thank You

Just returned from a fabulous 4 days at this fantastic site easy to find local amenities are all close by and tesco is a godsend for those essentials, just a 5 min walk away. The site owners are the most welcoming people I've ever met so laid back and always had time for a chat.
It was a very busy bank holiday weekend so naturally the toilets were not always sparkling but were cleaned regularly and they tried to keep on top of them . The children were always happy to feed the pigmy goats and pigs and the chickens were running round free.
The site was in a great location, we could see the sea from our tent and a great view of the castle. It was a peaceful quiet site. We walked to the beach which took us about 40 mins. About a five min drive into towyn/rhyl /colwyn bay. All in all a great little site and will return asap!

Just got back from a wonderful weekend at this campsite. We arrived on Saturday and was given options of where we could set up, picked our spot and set up.
The site was very well looked after with only a small complaint that the grass is kept too long. Toilets and showers were spotless and kept that way all during our stay.
The village is only a few minutes walk away with a Tesco's practically on the doorstep. They don't have a children's playground but they do have goats, pigs and 2 wallabies on site.
A really good campsite in a good location to explore the surrounding areas, would definitely go back again.

Excellent site in a very lovely area close to all the main north Wales resorts. The toilet block and showers are kept spotless by the owners. They have some goats and hens rabbits and this visit they had two young wallabies. This was are fifth visit and we will more than likely be there again. If you want a noisy site then don't bother as this is a quiet friendly site.

The site was full all week-end. Owners are a very nice couple.
The site was looking tired, probably due to being the end of the summer holidays, the grass was fairly long. The facilities are basic and could probably do with more frequent cleaning when the site is full. The cleaning is done by an outside contractor who only visits at 4pm every day and doesn't visit on sundays, it poured down the week-end we were there so the facilities were a bit messy.
Could also do with a refuse area in the middle of the site for the ease of people at the top of the site.
Should mention that there is a fantastic cycle path on the foreshore that goes for miles, we cycled to Prestatyn and Rhos on sea.
We did enjoy our stay at Manorafan and would not hesitate staying again

When we arrived it wasn't at first quite clear where the entrance was as we found two ways into the site whilst staying there as there was no clear sign up. You go through another smaller not as well maintained camp site before reaching this one. Booking in was really simple and straight forward and the owner was lovely and made us feel really welcome. She showed us round and let us chose our own pitch with electric hook up. Next to the main house the owner has set up recycling bins and its very organised and clean. There are pygmy goats and chickens as well which my 3 yr old loved whilst we there. The toilets and showers were basic but were always clean. There are two washing up areas, one outside and one inside. The views are lovely from the site although can be windy due to location. The site is well maintained and there was no noise and everyone was very courteous whilst we were there. There isn't much for children to do but the site is child friendly so don't let that put you off.
You are only 15 mins from Llandudno and welsh mountain zoo. We were in a great location for day trips out. In town which is 2 mins away there is a tesco and cafes and plenty of shops.
The only thing I would change would be to put a sign up at the entrance on the main road apart from that we had a wonderful stay and will most definitely go back

The site was lovely (I had phoned earlier and was told it was full but the owners kindly phoned back later that day to say they could fit us in). We found the facilities to be very clean and the welcome from the owners very friendly.
Our pitch was nicely flat but unfortunately, because the site was quite busy, some people arrived shortly after us and pitched uncomfortably close.
The location of the site was very handy for shops/takeaways but we were a bit disappointed with the area as whole - found Abergele to be scruffy and tacky and I wish we'd pushed on further to somewhere a little more quiet and remote.
Unfortunately we found the site quite noisy/rowdy and left early but I wouldn't like to mark it down too harshly because of this as it sounds from reading other reviews as though we had a one-off bad experience. I guess it only takes one bad neighbour to spoil what would have been a lovely visit.

Just returned after spending a week on site. What a great site the owners are friendly and most helpful. The toilet block was always clean and plenty of hot water. Whilst we were there, there were a few rowdy children around but they were only there for a few days. There is a tesco a few min away and opposite there is a great cafe. For dog owners there was a great dog walk up the lane to wards a ruined castle. The site is right next to a golf coure for the golfing campers. We visited Conway and Caernarvon both historic places. This is a first class site I had no complaint about the site and would give it 5 stars I will be returning there next year

Had a very pleasant visit
The site was clean and tidy
With easy access close enough to town so you can walk to the shops (a very handy tesco) but far enough away to be peaceful
Dispite being quite busy at the weekend when there were a lot of tents it was still very quiet at night
The only downside if i was to get picky is there is only one fresh water tap and grey waste has to be emptied with the elsan
All in all a nice site in a nice position run by nice people will definately be returning

Spent a week at this great little campsite. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived and were shown to our pitch. The showers and toilets were clean and showers hot, and although there were only two showers there never seemed to be anyone waiting. Great sea views, great views of the castle, which is fantastic and only a ten minute walk away, can`t believe it was only built in 1819.
Plenty of shops nearby. Handy for all the North Wales resorts. We saw the Red Arrows in Rhyl. I would highly recommend this site, it is also the cheapest site we have ever stayed on, o nly £126 for the week 2 adults, 2 kids, dog and ehu. We'll definitely be back.
