Just arrived back from a 4 night stay here and what a fab holiday we have had even though it rained more than it was sunny,
We arrived on a friday night to be looked after by a nice man who showed us to our pitch and after trying to work out how the tent would fit on it(as we would be sharing it with my brothers tent)we worked out that they wouldn't both fit, the man was very helpful and moved us somewhere else so we could be together which I thought was very good. The camp was well looked after and offered lots of space and places to pitch tents, motor homes caravans etc.
The toilets were cleaned every day, plenty of toilet roll, I wish there had been more than 3 toilets, but even at peak time I was only waiting 5 mins if that, the showers were hot(too hot for my daughter but she doesn't like them hot and there wasn't any way of turning down the temp)again only two of them but only ever had to wait in line for about 10 mins so wasn't to long.
Only one washing up section could do with another one but only had to wait once in the week we were there so wasn't overly bothered.
The farm was lovely walabys, pigs, goats, rabits, hens, etc my two children enjoyed it.
Not far from tesco, the factory shop(which we needed as the mattress poped in the night, near llandudno beach, colwyn bay, kymal beach lovely little places,
All in a fab place I would definitely go again
My two did not want to go home and asked if we could go again next time,

Went to this site just as a trial 4 our new tent and was pleasantly surprised by the facilities. The site is very secure so you knew your kids were safe.
The facilities were nice and clean and well serviced. The children loved the animals but the only thing missing was a children's play area.
The site is in an idyllic spot in the castle grounds with the backdrop being the amazing but sadly derelict and crumbling castle. Will definitely return in the summer holidays for a longer stay

Just returned from short Easter break,
lovely little site with view of sea and castle,
very friendly lady at reception who let us have pick of a pitch, which were very large,
nice shower/toilet block, but I think would struggle during peak season, due to only two showers, toilets per sex. also only one dish washing sink, and no ironing facilities,
tesco one drive away and abegele high street with a few takeaways etc only minutes away,
would I return?, yes but not in high season.

Our first visit to the site and found it to be a excellent site in a very lovely area close to all the main north Wales resorts. The toilet block and showers are kept spotless clean even when the site was busy at Easter. They have some goats and hens which the children loved to visit. This was our first visit and we will not be the last, more than likely be there again a few times this year. If you want a noisy site then don't bother as this is a quiet friendly site with owners who could not be more friendly or helpful.

Came here for Easter weekend. Arrived on the Thursday afternoon where we were greeted by a friendly man who showed us to our pitch.
The pitches were extremely large, much more than what we are used to on similar sites and this was welcomed as you were not on top of your neighbours.
Plenty of space for awnings, pup tents etc. Pitches were very flat also.
Even though the campsite was full being Easter it was extremely quiet and peaceful, all respected each other. I managed to have long lie ins in the morning!
The site is located a 5 min walk away from a Tesco which is very useful and the transport links to Llandudno and other areas is great. We caught the train to Llandudno and the bus back; which stops right outside entrance to the site.
Also at the rear of the site is the golf course but again there is no issues from that at all, it can only be an advantage if you are into golf.
It is good for children as there is a variety of animals on site, e. G pigs, sheep, lambs, chickens and rabbits.
The shower block is perfectly adequate; clean and tidy with plenty of toilet roll at all times. There are 3 toilets and two showers. The only negative about the facilities I would say is the push button showers don't last long and I found myself showering with one hand and the other permanently on the button. Also the taps are very powerful so I got a second shower a couple of times when they are pushed down fully.
It is a lovely, peaceful site, close to all amenities and attractions in this area.

Had a lovely relaxing weekend on this site. Arrived in the dark after a nightmare trip in the Friday traffic and offered a choice of huge pitches by the wonderfully welcoming lady owner. The site was relaxed and friendly with many people offering torches etc to help us set up in the dark, and chatting as they walked past.
Facilities were clean and kept stocked on toilet rolls etc and only a short walk from any of the pitches. No plugs for hair dryers/straighteners etc but there is a hairdryer that I think was 20p to use.
Site is very close to local amenities, we had a great Chinese on the first night and there is a big Tesco within walking distance. We didn't sample any local pubs but there seemed to be plenty.
Site is only a very short drive from resorts of Llandudno, Colwyn Bay etc.
Lovely site, cant wait to go back next year!

Just come back from a weeks stay at this site. The site is slightly sloping in places and has flat parts on grass for the tents.
While we were there it was very windy as it is quite open it did not affect us however our friends who were in a tent were a bit worried and we went at 3 in the morning to help them remove their porch and secure their tent. one tent got destroyed as the wind was that bad, it was 50 mph according to the news. the site owner offered them their money back if they had wanted to go home which I thought was really nice, the lady came and asked everyone if they were ok.
The showers were hot and free but did keep going off and you had to press a button to restart which was a bit of a pain when washing your hair.
All in all we had a good week and would return to this nice friendly site

The way in to site looks nice, but then we got branches from tree's sticking out in to lane scratching sides of motorhome, I spent 45 min's breaking them off. Next we come across a full size dust bin overflowing plus a small 5 gallon size drum just the same
the site was clean but needed grass cutting. I had a hard stand pitch which was level but no room to put chair's or table outside as it was muddy where some awnings had been.
Toilet block was O K but take a cable tie for shower as it had stopped before you picked up your soap.
Waste emptying round back was unsafe as it was only half flagged
Tesco nearby was great, bus stop outside entrance good as well. Bus to Rhyl and back, Llandudno much nicer.
Would I go again, I don't think so.

This campsite is a fantastic place for a quiet holiday. I think its suited to couples or families with young children. As there is no clubhouse etc I think teenagers would get bored, although saying that we had our 16yr old with us but I tired her out walking all day so we had early nights!
The site is very clean and well maintained with some animals to see. The chickens roam freely on the site.
It is ideally situated to visit the rest of North Wales. Tesco's is 10 minute walk, there is a lovely Chinese Restaurant in the town and the beach is best driven to.
This is the best site we've ever stayed at as the showers were lovely and powerful and kept very clean.
This is one site that I would definitely go back to again and again.

This was our second visit to this site although the first was with a tent 2 years ago. Review shown as good and bad as follows:-
Good.
Great location just outside Abergele - very easy to find.
Very friendly owners.
Large supermarket (Tesco), cafes, bars and other shops a very short walk / drive from the site.
Just a 20 minute walk / 5 minute drive to the sea-front at Pensarn.
Great level pitch with ample room between caravans. Some of the tent pitches did look to be rather sloped though.
Excellent sea views from most pitches.
Very good price for the time of year.
A great base for exploring the local area.
Ample hot water in the showers and sinks.
Access to the circuit breaker should it trip out.
Bus stop right outside the site entrance for buses (No. 12) to Rhyl or Llandudno.
Bad.
The toilet block left a lot to be desired. It was particularly dirty most of the time, I'm not sure if it was ever cleaned during our stay. The floor tiles were so grubby I think it would take a pressure hose to get them clean.
Be prepared to shower one-handed as the water runs for a ridiculous 3 seconds after the button is pressed.
The lights in the Ladies toilets are activated by movement and go off after a very short time leaving it particularly dark in the shower area.
Black mould was growing on the walls in the ladies showers and the baskets for soap etc. Were very grubby.
There are only 2 male and 2 female showers - considering there were 14 caravans and around 35 tents this is a woefully low number for probably more than 100 people.
There is a golf course immediately behind the site and grass cutting started at 06:15 in the morning making it difficult / impossible to have a lie-in.
It is such a shame that the toilet block, which is only 2 years old, was so bad as it really spoiled what is otherwise an excellent site.
