Fantastic caravan/motorhome/tent park.
Owners are so lovely & always find the time to chat to us, nothing is too much trouble.
The pitches are large, hard standing or grass.
Each time you go the owners have improved the site even more.
Farm produce on sale for bbq's.
Tesco & town shopping only couple of minutes walk.
Location is central to lots of site seeing.
The castle on site make it a wonderful back drop to the sunny evenings.
Toilets are always clean & tidy even on the busy bank holiday period, fresh flowers are a lovely touch.
2 showers and always one available every time I went.
Disable toilet is a bonus for my husband.
Very easy to find and if you go through the castle arch it feels very magical.
Lots of farm animals to amuse the family.
The only down side is you have to leave to come home again.

We arrived and went to find the the lady who runs the site she handed me an information sheet which contained information about the site, local area and the site rules, the sheet was an absolute waste of time because many of the other campers on the site either did not read the sheet or choose to ignore the rules, especially the one about walking and running in between pitches, the 6 yard gap between units was not enforced either and some tents and caravans were squashed together.
We were situated across from the amenities block and other campers thought it acceptable to walk through our pitch as a short cut.
The lack of a children's play area means children were running between pitches and kicking footballs really high. A fence or laurel bushes between the pitches would stop this.
After our arrival I never saw the lady who runs the site again and only saw her husband once who did not acknowledge us. This something I am not used to experiencing on small family run sites.
The facilities were adequate and could have been better, the missing lock in one of the toilets in the ladies is a small job that could easily be fixed, and the broken shelf in one of the ladies showers again would not been time consuming to replace or fix.
The owners claim to be proud of the recycling at the site but I saw no evidence of this and the overflowing bins were not a attractive experience especially in the summer heat. There were no recycling bins for us to separate our rubbish into.
The petting farm consisted of a few goats and was a disappointment for our children. It is not as it appears on the website.
The walk from the site up to the ruins of the castle was a nice walk and one we took our dogs on regularly.
On the Saturday evening we were kept awake until well after 12 midnight by loud music coming from the Club House of the adjacent Golf Course. A couple who were staying at the site complained to us that they had been woken up at 6. 00am by Golfers Teeing off, as their Caravan backed onto the first hole of the Golf Course. There was also noise from the lawnmowers
Abergele itself is a small town with a good range of shops and Tesco is now a familiar sight in many small towns.
The beach at Abergele is nice and there is a small amusement arcade and places to buy snacks and ice creams, it is free to park here which is a bonus.
The camp site is easy to find from the A55 and is in a good location to explore the North Wales coast and countryside.
I will not be returning to this campsite.

Just got back from spending a night here. The site was fantastic and we'd definitely come back here. It's very clean and modern and the facilities were just as impressive! Toilet block was clean and modern. Dish wash area was easily accessible and although it took us a while to discover where to get clean drinking water from, we managed to find it with the help from other campers. The area was brilliant for exploring and there was plenty to see and do nearby.

We used this site for our Sunday to Wednesday break. On arrival we were given the option of pitches available, very clean site toilets were clean and tidy and they are free, easy access by two entrances to the site. No shop on the site but there's a tesco just in the town 15 minutes if you walked. We walked down to the nearest beach 30 minutes it took us, and you can drive there and park right next to the beach. We will use the site again and will be taking our grandchildren

We have just arrived home after a week camping here and apart from the weather cannot think of a bad thing to say, lovely big pitches, clean toilets and showers.
Excellent location for days out at beaches, castles, zoo, rspb.
Tesco 2 mins away, takeaways close.
Would def recommend this site, the only thing I would like to see is a playground for the kids.

We loved this site for its situation; the Castle gave it a magical atmosphere. The site itself was immaculate; the owners very pleasant and helpful. Being picky: the sinks in the ladies were close together with no screening and I felt self-conscious when changing my contact lenses. Also, the lights in the gents are on a time-switch, so take a torch! This, however, would not put us off returning. Highly recommended.

We have had a week here, what a great time we have had.
A lovely site, and the host Will and Jules are very helpful in all matters.
Tesco is just down the road as is Abergele town centre.
Gas is available on site as is meat and bacon and sausages(when available).
It is possible to walk to the beach(about 15 mins)
There is a noise curfew at 11pm, which we fell fowl of, but we were politely asked to 'keep the noise down'.
There is a coin operated washer and dryer, and a communal chest freezer.
There is a baby changing area in the ladies and a disabled toilet and shower
The site wants to encourage families, but there are no play facilities on site.
It is possible to walk to Gwrych Castle up the lane beside the camp and this also allows access to wooded area for dogs to run wild!
Easily accessible from the A55, which you can hear in the distance but not enough to disturb the tranquillity of the site.

Lovely well kept site, not to far away from the sea, and local amenities.
Owners are friendly, and it's a nice touch that they show you to your pitch.
Our pitch was HUGE! LOADS of space available for each pitch so you aren't all crammed in on top of each other.
Lovely view of Grwych Castle, and the animals kept on site. There isn't a shop on site, however, Tesco is about 5 mins walk and is open til midnight.
The town is a short walk away, and there are plenty pubs etc to grab lunch/dinner.
The facilities are clean, and fresh flowers in the ladies was another nice touch.
If I was visiting North Wales again, would def go back.

We thought this site was in a beautiful area with plenty of dog walks, friendly wardens and spacious pitches. The toilet block was very clean however I found it difficult to shower and wash my long hair because the tap for the shower was a push in type which only lasted about 30 seconds and then the water stopped and you have to press the button again. I can understand not wanting to waste water but if that is the reasoning, I would rather pay a small amount for my shower. I ended up using my own shower in the van as this was easier. For the size of the site, I think it would benefit from another waste / chemical waste point as there is only one available behind the toilet block. It was never busy but quite far from our pitch and with full waste it was a trail.
Abergele was very lacking in my opinion, hair-dressers a plenty but no gift shops or dog friendly cafes, so we ended up getting into our car and travelling to find a dog friendly pub which was very good, The Kinmell Arms at St. George, we would highly recommend.
The warden said they had private contractors that emptied the rubbish skips, we arrived and they were full on Monday, they were overflowing by the time we left the following Sunday with split bin bags etc on the floor, not very attractive or environmentally friendly. This needs addressing as it is a real spoil of the site.
All in all, we won't be back, not because of the site but purely the location. Coastal tides also bring high winds at times which really did rock the van.
