Really laid back environment. It felt safe and comfortable. Beautiful scenery, very peaceful.
Nice to have a dip in the freezing river and our children (5&7) loved pond dipping and finding newts and fish.
Only draw backs; the facilities are a little tired and the park consists of 2 swings (at first a bit of a disappointment for our eldest).
Would definitely book again :)

Loved the space and the fact there are no set pitch sizes, great for children with bikes and it is a nice setting.
Wickham market itself is lovely, fab local Indian and fish and chip shop, co op a short walk away and next to it is a large playing field and children's park with zip wire.
Sadly we will not be returning as the toilets and showers really do let the site down. They are in desperate need of a refurb. The toilets although were cleaned, it seems were not cleaned enough and so looked dirty much of the time. The sink in each toilet was not big enough to wash your hands in and there was a constant leak from somewhere so water and wet toilet paper all over the floors.
The showers for the ladies were not good, they had 3, each with a push button to activate every 10 seconds or so if that. They are advertised as power showers, they are not! There is also no where to place your clothes and towels and they have old dirty shower curtains in them. Only one of the showers had a couple of pegs in it. The mens seemed a little better but with both if all were being used the water just dribbled.
There was also nowhere to brush your teeth so we had to do this outside of our tent with a cup of water.
The shop is advertised as having artisean bread etc, it does not - it has happy shopper items throughout. Whether covid has impacted fresh items being delivered I do not know but the website advertises the shop as a very different shop to the one you actually use.
There are also only 3 sinks to wash up in so it can get quite busy.
It really is a shame as if the facilities were as good and clean as other sites we have camped on we would rate this site and return. The owners really do need to think about those in tents etc who do need the toilets and showers as we were not alone in our disappointment. We are not fussy but we do expect a certain level of cleaniess.
We were recommended by someone who has a caravan so they had not used the facilities, which explains a lot.

Lovely site by the river and next to the woods.
Nice and quiet at night as well. Having a fire was a real boon and the fire pits are generously-sized and plentiful.
The only drawback we found was that the tap water tasted a little 'odd' due to the chemicals used to clean it. We used bottled words instead.

Campsite itself was great with a well stocked shop, friendly staff and beautiful spacious pitches. Campfires were lovely!
The downside was the toilet and shower facilities weren't the greatest. Despite what appeared to be frequent cleaning they were often pretty messy and the number of toilets / showers (around half a dozen) seemed pretty small for the campsite at full capacity.
One of the two female showers didn't have any stall or hooks to put your clothes on, whilst I found that the mens showers were only useable if you were the only one showering, otherwise the water was but a trickle.
Finally there wasn't any dedicated place to brush your teeth with the choices being the sinks for washing up (which was discouraged) or a warm tap in the toilet.
It's a shame as the site itself is lovely and well located in easy reach of some of the best places in Suffolk.

Briefly v. Free site, quite the opposite to Caravan & Motor Home club. My kids, aged 11 and 15, loved the freedom of running around playing manhunt late at night. Making new friends etc.
The shop was well stocked and the staff couldn’t do enough for us! However the toilets and showers were disgusting, the public toilets in Orford Car park were 10x better!
Also there was no equipment to clean the shower floors (ie foam floor squeegee thingymebob). That said most British People don’t seem to understand how to use them (well the didn’t the campsites we visited this year anyway).
Finally there was a lot of deep water signs and my partner and I were surprised at the lack of lifebouys.

It was a lovely stay, the children had fun and made new friends.
The adults had a great time playing games.
The toilets and showers were clean, it was really handy that we could wash and dry our clothes as the children began to run out

Great site for a group of 5 families that wanted to pitch all our tents together in one area.
Toilet and shower blocks clean.
Very helpful couple that run this site, Alan can tell you all the local walking routes. Fully stocked on site shop.
Camp fires allowed, kids enjoyed jumping in the river and generally a fun time had by all.
We will return.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The site was lovely, quite peaceful and the clientele extremely helpful.
We have an American RV and we’re also towing a race car on a separate trailer so we didn’t exactly fit well on any pitch.
They made us very welcome letting us expand slightly to accommodate our overall size.
I would highly recommend this site particularly if you want a tranquil site to catch your breath.
We have booked to return in the middle of August and early October.

Brilliant campsite, great grounds, lovely shop and friendly staff - one thing to be aware of there is traffic noise from the A12. I was glad I took my headphones!
Also, families with young children beware there is lots of open water, had my children been younger this would have worried me.
