Lovely site, well managed. Owner very "hands on" when he is there and his staff are very helpful when he is not. Only 6 electric hook up pitches but always seem to manage to fit us all in (we usually have at least four other families with us). Shower block is getting a little "tired" but owner has assured us it is being renewed asap. Otherwise, the pool room is very entertaining for the children and the space is good for games too. We will definitely visit on a regular basis. The fact that the village is within walking distance is a big bonus

Being camping 'virgins' we were absolutely delighted with this site. Cheap but extremely cheerful, best describes the vibe of the place. The staff are very welcoming and the whole site was well kept and nicely laid out. Popular with large groups and families although quieter pitches hidden away for those wanting seclusion! The campfires add a nice touch but at £15.00 only really worth while for longer stays. The village is a very short walk with all you need. The facilities were good always hot water although because of the set-up do get grubby very quickly but always cleaned regularly. We visited nearby, Southwold, Aldburgh, Wood bridge, Felixstowe and Colchester all within short distance with the A12 providing an ideal network to travel to lots of locations. We will definitely visit again as soon as possible, highly recommended!

Good campsite, very cheap and friendly but let down by toilets and showers. Pitches were big and we didn't feel closed in. Staff friendly and campsite was cheap. Toilets were horrible. Portaloos were not very nice and the only two showers had the only two proper loos. Could do with an extra washing up place as there was only one. Having a real fire was great and the kids loved it. Playground was a bit naff, just 3 swings. Shops were a pleasant 15 minute walk away and great hardware shop in town for all the camping bits you may have forgotten (though the staff a bit miserable!) If the shower/toilet facilities improved would be a GREAT campsite.

We visited this site on the strength of the reviews on this website. I guess we must have been unlucky the weekend we went, because I couldn't disagree more with the previous postings. The site was very busy, with one particularly large group present. Therefore the two (dirty) showers and four (smelly) porta-loos were not sufficient for the amount of people at the site. One large group in particular had a loud disco going on well past midnight, when we tried to complain to the owner there was no sight nor sound of him. It appears that this site actively encourages loud, noisy groups of campers, so if that's your bag then fine, if not then my strongest advice is avoid this sight like the plague. One positive were the glow sticks that were given out, the kids did enjoy that.

E campsite was ideal as we had a party of 12 blokes out for a social get together. The camp site staff were very helpful and the location was great. We were segregated from the quieter family groups which was ideal for us. The fact that we could walk to the pub, get a curry and then come back to have a camp fire was a real bonus, and made for a great focus for sitting around and chatting. The area we had for pitching was good but there was a little too much litter. On the downside the porta-loo’s do go a bit “music festival” in the hot sun and are not great. To be fair, they were kept clean and well stocked with paper and hand wash. The two showers are free and are unsurprisingly busy. In summary, a great site to visit the very pretty and quiet Suffolk coast and then socialise at the tents without the over bearing Camp Wardens breathing down your neck.

A pleasant friendly campsite. Large pitches mean that even when it is full you get plenty of privacy. Virtually part of Wickham Market, which means it's just a few minutes to the shops, although if you want 'out in the sticks' this is not it. It is popular with families and therefore it is good for kids. The staff are helpful, as echoed in other reviews. On the downside, proximity to the A12 means there is a distant, but noticeable, constant drone of traffic, a fact I'm surprised no other reviewer has mentioned. You do get used to it, but it is not my idea of perfect camping. The showers/toilets could do with a refurbishment and, although regularly cleaned, get dirty quickly due to overall condition and design. The surrounding countryside, both towards the coast and 'inland', is lovely and we did have a nice time, but it wasn't quite a weekend away from it all.

This site is the best site in Suffolk so far this year we have been 3 times and plan at least another 6. You feel so relaxed at this site let the kids go and they love it very safe for them to roam very friendly campers here large pitch very cheap and the log fire is a winner very chill out site. Toilets clean and nice showers overall 9/10

I have just returned from this truely lovely campsite. The children had a great time exploring the wooded areas, full of 'dens' and 'hideouts' and there is also a play area with swings. The 2 showers worked well and although there were only 2 this didn't seem to cause any problems as there were additional portaloos. The washing-up facitities were good and there was a washing machine available. Also had fridge and freezer. At only £8 per pitch it was great value too. The best thing about this place is the relaxed and friendly atmosphere which is also reflected in the staff. I'll definitely be returning to this site.

We visited this camp site in our campervan. The first thing we noticed was how friendly the staff were and such a relaxed and laid back site. Very clean and peaceful relaxing break. We will certainly be returning there very soon. At the bottom of the site there is an avenue of tall trees a lovely place to sit when it is hot. Lots of electric hook ups. Very clean toilets & showers.

We have just had a great weekend at this campsite. We were nearly put off as it has advertised a club house but this is just a small room with a very old pool table, not a great big club house with lots of drunk people. The camp fires are great but a bit pricey if there is not a group of you £15 per night but good quality wood. The field is great and I loved it that all the other campers all got together for a good game of rounders. It is just a short 10min walk into town and it has a nice pub that we watched the footy at. There are only two showers but we did not have to wait to long to use them and the owner is in the process of getting 6 more built. Over all we had a great time kids loved the wooded area and the little park to play in and we felt very relaxed as the campsite was very safe. We would give this a 8/10. Very good value for money £8 per night per tent.
