Lovely site, well run and the owners are extremely friendly and helpful. (although one of the wardens is a little official and stern to keep you in order! :) )
Site is very clean and well kept and despite a lot of rain the excellent drainage meant ground was perfect and never any standing water.
The only gripe I have is that since adding the new shower block (which whilst portacabinish is clean and tidy) they seem to be trying to cram too many people in and where there was a gap between rows of caravans there's now a row of tents. Over a weekend it did seem cramped and lost some of the peace and quiet the site offered previously.

The Good; A large, well run site with flat & well drained ground in nice forested surroundings ideal for cycling, jogging or dog walking. Three large paddocks consisting of a play area, games pitch & a set-aside for bugs, butterflies & empty crisp packets.
The Not So Good; Joined on arrival and charged the full amount for non-members which I fortunately noticed when I got back to the tent. My partner couldn't arrive until the next day & we were charged the full amount, not the family rate which I would have expected from the 'friendly' club and the worst bit, £2.20 a night for an extra car! And another thing, we were woken by a large group of screaming kids at 6.30 am who's fathers seemed to be out of control (what do you expect as one of them was smoking in the enclosed washing up area?) Bring the wives next time please.
The Bad; Now I could have ignored all this if not for the fact that there was no hot water for the 3 days we were there as the boiler had broken down. There was a lot of noise until quite late from a military range on one night & traffic noise from the nearby road which was not too loud but I like deathly silence to get to sleep.
So, in a nutshell, I may go back before my membership expires but I don't think I'll be renewing.

This is an extremely clean and well run site. At the time we visited the weather wasn't particularly good and the site was less than half full.
We pitched next to friends and enjoyed using the facilities particularly the large field next to the site, where we played cricket.
The site is ideally located for High Lodge where we went cycling on one of the two days we stayed.
The only draw back was that the pitches were a little restrictive for a large tent with awning and you are not allowed to put up gazebos.

Nice, roomy site in peaceful surroundings.
We visited with two other families of friends. It was a great place with plenty of space and great children's play facilities. Close enough to see / keep an eye on them but far enough for them to enjoy some freedom.
The washing up and toilet facilities seemed to be pretty limited for the size of site, but I guess the assume that many of the visitors will be caravans / camper trucks with their own facilities.
The staff were really friendly and we had a day trip to Banham Zoo which was well worth visiting.

Stayed here for a week and had a really good time. The site was very good and clean. It was quiet although there were both kids and dogs (which we have 2 of) on site. The forest is right on your doorstep and excellent. The only negative point is that I feel they could do better with the shop. It is very spacious but basic. They could make this into a little gold mine.

Lovely site. Excellent location, close to the forest. Facilities were superb, very clean, seperate cubicles for ladies to wash. Onsite shop has all the essentials. Staff very friendly and professional.
The site was well organised with good sized area for tents. Some constant traffic noise but this was fairly low level therefore did not create much disturbance.
Generally a lovely peaceful relaxing clean site with easy access to amenities and places to explore either by car, foot or cycle.

Just back from a great break at this site. It was easy to find and on arrival we had a choice of pitches and were shown to our chosen one by a very friendly lady. Throughout our stay the wardens were all very friendly and helpful.
We only used the old toilet block as this was closest to us but the new one looked very nice. They were always nice and clean. There were 3 hair dryers available in the ladies for no extra cost. Plenty of hot water for showers and washing up.
There is a childrens' play area and a large adjacent field for ball games and kite flying. There is also a well-fenced pond on-site for fishing.
There is direct access into the forest from the site which was great for us and our very energetic border terrier. There are two marked out routes 1 1/4 and 2 1/4 miles but there are numerous other paths to follow if you prefer to wander at your own will.
The shop on site was basic but sold the essentials. The nearest supermarket is Tesco on the outskirts of Thetford, about 6 miles away on the other side of the A11.
A day out at High Lodge Forest Centre is highly recommended. There is a 'Go Ape' centre there which is a mile long course of tree top walkways and zip lines-pre-booking essential.
All in all a fantastic, well maintained site on a lovely area. Just watch out for the very hard ground-we ended up with lots of bent pegs!

This is a lovely site right next to the forest. The site is very level and the grass is cut lovely and short. The new toilet and shower block is spotless and clean. It was heated when we visited. I used the disable facilities in the other block which even though it had a radiator it was not on and at 7am was freezing cold. There are no disabled facilities in the new block. There is a mixture of pitches, hardstanding, grass with electric and a lovely big grassed non-electric area. You can hire TV leads and plug your TV straight into the aeriel connection which is situated just underneath the electric hook-up sockets. They are £1 a day or £5 a week. You can access the forest direct from the site and take your dog on lovely walks. There is a pub just down the main road towards Thetford. The site sells a few basic groceries and camping bits and bobs. There is a large Tesco in Thetford about 6 miles away. There is not a lot for children to do apart from a small play area. I recommend this site highly, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

A wonderful site, with fantastic facilities. We pitched our tent near to the play ground and our 2 children were visable to us at all times and had a great time, making new friends and playing all day - infact they were reluctant to come out. The staff were extremely polite, friendly and the park was spotless. The only drawback was that it is a drive to any shops, pub etc however the reception area holds all the essentials you would need to buy and you can order a morning paper. I wish all sites were as good as this one. We will definitely be back!

Our first ever trip in our motorhome - we didn't even know where to plug in an electrical hook up! The wardens were so helpful, the site was well kept, quite pretty. Shower block was spotless and snug. Enjoyed forest walks, which are virtually on your doorstep. Will definitely go back again.
