Note: Do not turn up the farm drive just before the site entrance by mistake - especially towing a caravan - was mentioned to us that severe verbal abuse from the lady at the farm could be the result!
Site is in a nice location in woodland with plenty of footpaths & trails - some of which were 'mobility scooter friendly'. Local village none too exciting - just one pub, the Eagle which was closed when we were there. Apparently it is being re-furbished.
Facilities good and modern - full C&C club standards.
Site was full when we were there but never had to wait for showers etc. (but that's men for you. !)
Site is quite remote for shops pubs etc - especially as we don't like to move out motorhome once parked - but we did drive out to Thetford etc on second morning - local roads, parking etc quite good.
Good tv reception - but the 'free wi-fi' very poor - almost dial-up speeds at times. (Was not provided by normal C&C club provider - the latter would have been much better for us as we had just paid for 1 years use of the official one anyway!)
Some of the hard-standing pitches were seemingly permanently sited by units not occupied. Should this be allowed one wonders - especially as people were almost fighting to get a pitch with EHU on the Friday evening!
The wardens were friendly and helpful to us despite the fact they were VERY busy over the whole weekend.

Site itself is clean, well kept and spacious but the staff were rude. We turned up at 1145 and was told we had to wait until 12 before we could check in. We overheard a member of staff being very rude and abrupt on the phone. The local pub the Eagle was not good and the Dog and Partridge had what looked like a good menu but we did not get chance to try it. There is not much in the local area to do which meant a lot of car travelling.

We spent 2 nights on this site. Pleasantly situated site; near a road but quiet. Within easy access of the lovely town of Thetford. Friendly and helpful staff with excellent and clean facilities. Very level pitches throughout. Good walks directly from the site. A few picnic tables on site would be handy

We stayed at this site as a base for taking our teenage sons to Thetford forest for a sedgeway experience. The site was lovely and a great location for walking in the forest (wish we had had a dog!) The toilets/showers were clean and the site well kept. We decided to treat ourselves to a camping pod. It was nice to have an area with seating and a BBQ. The cabin itself was very basic but clean and warm. Shops were quite a distance. There wasn't anywhere to eat without driving and it was further to the sedgeway than we had expected. But we all loved sedgewaying and will probably go ape next time.

We’ve stayed at this site many times. It has all the normal Camping and Caravanning Club facilities, kept in immaculate condition. Free WiFi was an unexpected bonus. There’s a range of woodland walks directly from the site. The highland cattle in one of the woodland enclosures were a great surprise. Try to find the black rabbits in Black Rabbit wood. It would be a good base for mountain bike trips through the woods. There’s a large Tesco on the main road in towards Thetford and a whole range of shops in the town.

Visited in-between Christmas and over New Year. Even though a lot of rain had fell, the site was in great condition. Very peaceful and clean facilities. Great location for the forest and to go off for walks in different directions but you still remain close to the site. Dogs love it as so much land to roam in and explore. Saw a pair of deer in the forest which was beautiful to see them roaming wild. Great site. Highly recommended. Site owners are so friendly and show you to your pitch on his motorised cycle. Great attention to detail.

I have stayed on this site on numerous occasions since it opened in 2007. Unfortunately, this recent stay will be my last, as there is a noticeable decline in standards. Despite complaints, the 5 second push button showers show no improvement. The access road to site is atrocious, with potholes, and hedges that need cutting back, having scratched my unit one side.
Site roads are also churned up and need a more firm structure. Weekends, the site is taken over by Londoners, introducing noise and their total inability to appreciate the peace and quiet that this site offers, and one wonders why they shoot up the A11, other than to have a bumper booze up, with no consideration to other users. Not for me, and hoping things improve.

Staff here are great, very helpful when booking and on arrival. Site is lovely & clean. Found showers a disappointment; too small & cramped, water doesn't last longer than 5 seconds and the water is too hot on a hot summers day. I just wanted to cool down. Downside is the HUGE amount of flies & Mosquitos which bit us to death despite covering ourselves in insect repellent. At night we either roasted with windows shut or got flies on our face all night with a terrible nights sleep. A shame. Otherwise a great site, lovely location & great staff. I am sure we will go back but maybe not mid summer.

We had a good four days here but the site was very busy on the last two days which seemed to coincide with a deterioration in the cleanliness of the toilet block. The staff were friendly and helpful but less visible than on other sites. We were pitched next to the play area which was fine on the first two nights as families respected the rule about not using it after dusk however on the third night some teenagers were in the park to late, making a lot of noise. The wardens did not check the park as is usual on caravan and camping club sites. The shop was adequate for essentials. We visited High Lodge on two occasions which I would recommend as the forest has good cycling trails, lots of good play apparatus and a Go Ape.

This campsite is excellent and the facillities are perfect. All the staff members are really helpful & are always to hand if needed.
I would say that the on site shop could do with having a few more supplies as the nearest supermarket is in Thetford (20 min drive)but what they do have is great.
Also the website states that there are 3 pubs in working distance which isn't true. There is 1 pub about a mile away but walking wouldn't be advisable due to the dangerous main road to get to it. If you want to use this pub then make sure you book a table as it is very small and they will turn you away if you haven't booked.
I would also say that someone should patrol the site throughout the night due to noisy campers that woke up most of the campsite at 2am on one occasion which you wouldn't expect from a CCC site. I know some campers cut their holiday short & actually packed up & left the site due to the noise levels through the night.
But overall a lovely site, well maintained & we did enjoy our stay regardless of some inconsiderate campers.
