Lovely flat pitches, we chose one without hook up. Very clean and tidy throughout site and toilet blocks, staff friendly. Site busy with families, however the majority of the noise stopped around 9. 00pm.
Plenty of good walks locally, pub is just a leisurely 20 minute walk away, dog friendly but must be kept on lead on site at all times.
We would go back again ideal for a short break or a stop over.

Just returned from one night spent at this campsite. (Have been previously about 6 years ago).
We had a non-electric, standard grass pitch on the row near to the playground as we had children. We were facing onto the Rally field, but as there was no rally this was a large field that children could play on and there were plenty of ball games going on. Pitches all quite level. This was near enough to the toilet block. There is a second toilet block across the far side of the campsite. Water very warm for washing up / showers.
On arrival we were shown to our pitch and guided into the correct position to ensure we made the most of the space while adhering to the 6m between units rule.
Direct access into the forest for walking. There are some well laid out paths that are very family friendly for walking.
Shop on site seemed to be stocked with the basics in the way of food and camping kit. We bought ice creams!
This site is only an hour from home for us, so we didn't plan to go visiting anywhere, but if you are visiting from further afield there are plenty of things to do - eg: Bury St Edmunds, Thetford Forest High Lodge (Go Ape), Brandon Country park.
We have booked to return in two weeks time, so would recommend the site!

A top site with everything you'll need. Toilet blocks very clean and all staff very friendly and helpful. We did pay extra for a Jumbo Pitch which was lovely as we had loads of room, would definitely recommend paying the extra especially if you have a large unit or need the space. There is a large field for ball games and a small park area which kept our little one amused. There is a large dog walking area which was handy or you can just walk into the forest from site and walk for miles. There is a small lake on site which can be fished and I was reliably informed by a third party that there was some nice fish in there, I even saw them rising to the surface but unfortunately they obviously did not like the bait I was using on the particular day I fished it. We will definitely be returning here, what a great site.

Excellent site, toilets and showers very clean. Plenty of room on the pitch. We had a hard standing pitch with large awning and still had room. My little boy rode his bike around, went to the park. We played ball games and no body bothered. Staff were very good. Took us to our pitch.
We had four nights over the spring bank, enjoyed it that much we have already booked for six nights next year. I have family in norfolk and this site is perfect for us to visit them. The last site I stayed at didn't impress me at all.

Stayed for five nights and loved it. Lovely big pitch for our Eriba and first trial of our awning. Friendly staff who showed us to the wrong pitch and then pushed us to the right pitch! Our children enjoyed the play area and exploring the campsite. We all loved the forest walks from the site. The toilet block was very clean and as you'd expect from a club site. Wish the Brits would cotton on to the French way of a long handled squidgee in the showers rather than a mop and bucket of murky water!overall a lovely site which I'm sure we'll return to at some point.

Just spent 2 nights at this site, it was great, lovely and peaceful. Wardens were helpful and friendly and the amenities block was always clean with plenty of hot water and we never had to queue. Small on site shop, with most things you would need. The wardens took us to our pitch and made sure we were happy with where we were. We don't have a dog but the dog walking/exercise field looked great and was always being used. Walked to the local village (Great Holkham) to the pub (The Eagle)which was suggested only a 10 minute walk - more like 25, but as it was a beautiful sunny day we didn't mind. Food was excellent in this village pub and everybody was very friendly. The site gets very dark so torches are essential if walking about after dark. Site is well signposted and so much easier now that the A11 has been upgraded to a dual carriageway. Will definitely be returning sooner rather than later!

Our family of five were greeted and shown to our site. Everyone at reception very welcoming and friendly throughout our visit. Good toilet and shower facilities and wash room clean and spacious. The children liked the play area and were pleased there was bikes allowed on site to give them more freedom and independence

Just to update previous reviews:
The bumpy drive was filled while we were there. Probably will need a redo and rolling at some point this winter but much better than when we arrived and bounced down the road;
The bare pitches are being reseeded. We were sited between pitches to allow for the new grass to grow.
Now my review; well signposted to site from main road. Friendly staff on arrival and each occassion I visited the cabin.
The site was very quiet so the review of the ablutions is on this basis; perfectly clean all the time; always hot water; never had to wait.
It was my birthday week-end so the intermittent wi-fi was a nuisance as I couldn't receive my Skype calls from family overseas. Yes it was free, but I have paid for a years C&CC wifi so I felt I would have rather had to pay and have decent service.
Tesco is 6 miles away, nothing any closer. Thetford lovely town but we didn't have time to explore. This time.
Definitely will return.

Large franchised club site, split into several fields, including a rally field. Excellent children’s play area, more than the usual standard club one. Grass pitches were getting a bit worn due to being towards the end of the season, but we were given the choice of which direction to pitch so that we could walk out on to grass and not dirt. Toilets and showers are housed in what appears to be a log cabin, lodge style temporary building, as is reception. The friendly staff work hard to keep the facilities clean, but occasionally, if it has been raining, dirt & mud is walked in, but the next time you visited it was clean again.
If I had one gripe it was that the access road was rather bumpy and could do with resurfacing, but then you are on a farm!

This is an excellent site. The staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. The pitches are all level and easily accessible. The Facilities are very good and always kept clean. For the fisherman there is a small fishing pond on site with some nice sized fish for the catching. The location is great for getting out and about around Norfolk and Suffolk. The are great walks in the forest accessed directly from the site. Local pubs serve good meals and local towns Thetford, Watton, Dereham and Bury St Edmunds are only a short drive away. We have been using this site for storage and camping for over 5 years now and have no intention of moving to a new site.
