WE have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Tollgate Farm. The site was lovely, the toilets and showers kept nice and clean.
We will most certainly be visiting here again the location is great for travelling around or just chilling out nearby where there are plenty of shops including a co-op, bakery, butchers, and take-aways.
We took our dog with us and he enjoyed his holiday too.
We have already recommended this campsite to our friends who may go to Cornwall later this year.

Lovely campsite, the showers, toilets etc were kept lovely and clean and were warm too. We saw the owners helping campers stake down their tents when a particulalry nasty storm bought high winds.
Perranporth beach is wonderful and dog friendly too, which was wonderful. The town provides everything you need, Coop, takeaways, bakers, butchers etc. The children loved the surfing and we hired 3 wet suits for only £15 for the day and there are offers for hiring for the week. All in all a wonderful holiday, lovely camp site, friendly owners and superb location. Would definitely go back.

Stayed here with friends a while back but can still remember the good points from my stay.
Nice clean site with friendly owners, made us feel very welcome.
Don't know whether its still the same but there was an adults only space which was great to have as there were no childrens noises or disturbances.
Good laundry facilities and I can see it would be great for families too with the petting zoo. Again not sure whether it's still there but they did have goats, pigs, guinea pigs and rabbits which was a nice change from your average site!

Stayed here for a few days in August 2007 and had a fabulous time. Owners were really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The shower and toilet facilities were plentiful - no queueing - and always clean. My son enjoyed the play area and the animal handling sessions. Perrnaporth beach was about a 20 minute walk skirting the edge of the Haven site where the surf was excellent for body boarding. Easy access to surronding tourist places like Newquay and Holywell Bay. Morrisons supermarket nearby and Co-op in Perranporth for bits and bobs, as well as a range of butchers and bakers to support the local shops. Have already booked for a week long stay in August this year and would recommend it to anyone.

A message from the Coker family at Tollgate Farm
As part of our site upgrades we have had extensive drainage work done early this year and as part of that we now have a new chemical disposal point and we have also had installed a drive over grey-water point for motorhomes. Sorry about the hose we didn't notice it was missing.
See you all soon and HAPPY CAMPING.
The Cokers.

This is a great little campsite. Small enough to get to know the owners but big enough to have enough of your own space. Reception is really helpful providing extra tent pegs etc. And plenty of advice.
Most importantly, the toilet and shower facilities were always warm and clean and the washing up section is quite a social scene! Always seeing the same people!
Getting into the centre of Perranporth is really easy. Either a scenic walk through the golf course which takes around 15 minutes, across the coastal paths or if you got a lot to carry on the way back you can get the bus for £1 up the hill.
The Watering Hole on Perranporth Beach is a great pub with good, reasonbly priced food and bands playing Thursday through to Sunday nights.
Would highly recommend coming here. I will certainly be returning for future holidays.

Very quiet when we visited the site with only a handful of other people on the site.
We only used one of the family shower rooms and which was clean and well equiped (e.G. Plenty of shelves to keep things dry). We did have to move from one family room to the other as the water was not warm enough in the first one (probably just due to the time of year though).
Our young (1 and 3) children enjoyed the play area (good fast slide) and their was stuff for older children too. Didn't get a chance to visit the animal area, but looked like it would be good for children.
Very helpful and friendly owners. We had oceans of space on a non-electric hook up site with a fantastic view, but would imagine that the pitches would be a little small if the site was full. A drive over Motorhome waste disposal point would be a good addition, as would a bit of hose be on the Chemical disposal tap and more fresh water taps dotted around.
In general though, a very nice site and would definitely visit again.

This is a great site for all, very pro family and pets. The facilities where spotless, even when we went at peak and full to the brim site, we did havea problem with a noisy neighbour and this was immediately sorted. I can't fault the owners a great bunch and could not do enough to please you, as for the snack bar, just great for that morning butty, and the pizza's where awesome to.
We have booked to return next year! Forget Horrible haven - move next door to Tollgate, great views, Perrenporth dude heaven, my only criticism I wish it was nearer for us to travel, 5-6 hours in the car! (thank god for portable DVD's)

We stayed here in August 2007 and the site was full. Despite this the showers and toilets were always immaculate, staff were very friendly and helpful, can't recall having to queue for the showers during our week long stay. There is a playground area for the kids in the large playing field, where we played cricket and such. My children loved the animals (rabbits, goats, pigs, chickens, guinea pigs, birds etc.) and visited them daily. The walk to the beach is around 20 mins (with kids!) but not hard work. To drive is around 2 mins into Perranporth. You can walk to Perranporth from Tollgate Farm, but we never got past the wonderful beach! Pitch sizes are very good and we stayed in Perran field and had a lovely view. The small shop sells the basics at a reasonable price (there is a Co-Op in Perranporth with car-park) and the takeaway was also very good. Tollgate farm is an ideal base for those wanting to explore Cornwall, which we would have done, but we couldn't get the kids off the beach. Have already booked for longer next year!

Have just spent a excellent week here in a tent. The facilities were very clean , full marks to the very welcoming family who run this site. Always helpful and nothing was too much trouble would definitely use this one again, nice touch with the animals as my boys visited them on a daily basis ,part of our routine after brekkie before we went out. Good size pitch too.
