We visited here for a weekend having found most of the other sites in the area fully booked. The site itself was fine, gentle slope and pretty good ground. Shower block was clean enough and water facilities were on the tent field. By the Saturday night it had become quite crowded and I felt it would have benefited from having less tents. Other than that, a pretty no frills site.
We found a pub in chelmorton that was approx a 2 mile walk. The next day we utilised a campsite map and hiked to Taddington. (Got a bus back as the driver was willing to drop us right by the campsite!) Approx a 12 mile drive to Dovedale, 5 mile to Buxton.

We have just returned from a great weekend here. Fantastic setting and well layed out pitches. Edward, the owner, couldn't have been any more helpful if he'd tried. Facilities clean and I didn't have to queue once for the loo. I would definately go back, it's a must for anyone with a family

We have just been to this lovely little campsite. The owners Edward and Marilyn are really welcoming and helpful. The setting is just perfect, fields all around animals, not too cramped. The sunset is beautiful as it goes down behind you. Facilities are fab, all clean. You can get fresh creamy milk from the cows and free range eggs from the Hens on the farm. What more do you need for your camping breakie! We will definatley be going back here!

A bit worried about this site because there was no reviews, however the website looked good so we gave it a try. We had a fantastic night and I thought I would be the first to review. The tent pitches are in a large field with tents around the edge and some in the middle. There are plenty of water taps around the perimeter. The site is clean with a good recycling policy. If you are a fisherman there is a lovely pond in the middle of the next field. I'm not a fisherman so I don't what the fish are like but it looks a very peaceful place to spend the day. The shower blocks were always clean although just the one shower lets it down a bit. Overall a lovely site and we will definitely be visiting again.
