Just returned from a two week stay at Trevornick.I cannot praise the site highly enough! We do not usually return to a site because a second visit is not always as good as the first. This place is different. We went last year, returned this year, and while we were there placed out booking for next year. To give you an idea of how popular it is, when we went to reception we were not Able to rebook our pitch as it was taken, and we booked the last remaining pitch on that part of the site! Loads of people I spoke to were returning for a 3rd 4th or sometimes more visit!
This place has it all if you want it, or it is quiet enough if you want to just chill by the caravan! It is quite simply the best commercial site we have ever stayed on

We found this site had good facilities, albiet a bit expensive. Showers costs 20p for roughly 4 minutes and were VERY hot. I think small children would have had difficulty using them. We used the family bathroom as we have a toddler, which cost 50p for each bath. The floor in this room became incredibly dirty and slippery and would have benefited from some sort of rubber bath mat.
To use the laundry cost £2.20 for the washing machine and 20p for 5 minutes in the dryer. Each wash ending up costing £4.20! With a Toddler to care for the washing bill soon mounted up!
We saw the evening entertainment a couple of times and found it good. There was a quiz night which was fun and a Karaoke night. The children's club seemed well organised and the members seemed to be having a whale of a time. It's a shame, our toddler was too little to join in. The Sports Bar had the best food, and the nicest surroundings. Internet was available in reception, but this was locked up, early in the evening.
Pool was wonderfully clean and warm. Toddler pool fed by a jacuzzi, so that was an extra treat! Couldn't fault it and for an outdoor pool it was warmer than some heated indoor pools in the local area!
Dogs were not always kept under control - we had a visitor in our tent one day! The noise after 11pm could sometimes be a little disturbing, but nothing too bad.
The fishing got the okay from the males in our group, only the largest pool had anything worth catching though!
The beach walk across the golf course is not advisable with a pushchair, or if you are unfit!
The pitches were a good size, not particularly flat though, but marked out, which we found helpful. Electrical hook-up was reliable and we ran a tv, cool box, fan and light off it with no problem.
Would consider going back again as it was a good site if you are looking for plenty to do and like a busy bustling site. Just take loads of 20p's!

We booked late having never stayed in Cornwall before. I was impressed they could even fit us in with it being high season but we where told there was a place left in the dog section which did not bother us. We had a lovely stay. The shower blocks where great and the family bathroms although there was only 2 to my knowledge where brilliant with a 1 year old who is scared of showers a godsend.
The whole site was clean and efficiently run with a good shop, amusements for the kids and entertainment for the kids and adults. There is also a bistro style cafe which was very handy although the menu was limited.
The beach which in my mind must be one of the best in the whole of cornwall was fantastic just like the pictures and we visited quite alot during our stay but nothing was a patch on holywell bay just stunning and nice and safe for the kids with lifegaurds to point out all the surf areas beautiful.
I can't wait to have another visit to this site although it is a long way from where we live! I would recomend this site to anyone! Nice butchers in Pennenporth and loads of shopping in newquay even for us northeners a morrisons!I should say there was loads more to this site that we just didn't have time to see such as fishing, golf, a sports bar, and a go cart track with fun park attached.

We arrived at Trevornick at about 11o'clock on the Saturday of the Whit Bank Holiday. We booked in without any delay and were taken to our pitch by a member of staff on a moped. We were on a Super Pitch in the Yellow field. The pitch was fine, easily big enough for our Montana 12 and Oklahoma Utility tents. There was a slight slope, but nothing to get excited about.
The toilet / shower block was kept very clean and tidy and there was never a wait for a shower cubicle, even at the busier times. As has been previously reported, the site has loads for the kids to do with the pool, the play area, the amusement arcade and the funfair next door. For the adults, the golf course seemed very popular.
There is food in the central complex and in the Gull Rock bar - decent enough and not too expensive. Beer is a little pricey in the bars, but nothing more than normal for this sort of site. There are loads of good pubs in the area - I can particularly recommend the Smugglers Den for excellent food but it is advisable to book as it is very popular. The nearby Holywell bay beach is good, but we preferred Crantock, which is five minutes drive away. Nothing wrong with Holywell, just a personal choice.
In many ways we knew what to expect as we stayed at Trevornick in 2001 (in a Eurotent). We convinced my Brother and his family to come with us this time and thankfully the site lived up to our recommendations in every way. We would definitely go back and probably will in the Summer.
One word of warning - drive at a snails pace through the site, particularly near the central complex where there are a couple of blind corners. There were two accidents during our stay - one quite nasty which required Ambulance and Police attention. The kids shoot out from all angles on bikes and scooters.
Don't let this put you off though - it's a great site and probably the best we have stayed on. 10/10.

Superb from start to finish. Pitches were massive, we have a 5 berth tent and still lots of room. Lovely walk to the beach, 3 bars on site with entertainment. In all, would go back again - staff were very helpful and site was well maintained

We went camping to Trevornick with some friends in August 2005. In total there were 4 adults and 5 children (children all 7 or under).
I was very keen to return to the park because I visited the site as a teenager a couple of times in the early 1980's with my mate and his dad - we came for the fishing !. I had fond memories of the place and wanted to see if it was the same.
The site caters for touring caravans, motor homes and tents (some to rent). The park has all the facilities that anyone could need - shops, bar, cafe, laundry and a fun park and golf course/pitch & putt adjacent, all in all plenty to keep adults and children happy. Site is ideally situated near Newquay with easy access to most of Cornwall and loads of fantastic beaches. Perranporth down the road is very nice and there are many local pubs that do great food (Smugglers Den Inn is superb). It's a 15 minute walk through the dunes to a fantastic beach and the fishing lakes are still there although I didn't manage to use them this time.
It's a big site and busy/crowded in the holiday periods although we never found it noisy at night. Toilets blocks were plentiful and clean but you had to pay for the showers. Our 'super-pitch' had elec hook-ups and these are common on the site. Pitches were generally level with some slightly sloping. It’s a 15min drive to Newquay where there are supermarkets etc although the on-site shop was very well stocked and baked excellent pastries in the mornings.
We got to Trevornick at about 8.30am - I would recommend arriving early as the traffic is a nightmare every summer weekend. The staff are geared up for this and direct you to a holding area to park until your pitch is free. You can book in though and are free to use the parks facilities. They got the pitches free very quickly by about 11am. The staffs were very helpful during our stay.
Our only gripe was the pitch size (we were on pitch #449 in the Corn Field, our friend's next door on #448) Even though these were 'super-pitches' with elec hook-up we could not fit our tents on them properly let alone the cars (admittedly big units, a Royal Montpellier 12 at 7m x 7m and a Vango Diablo 900) Part of the tent sagged a little as it was pegged into the adjacent hedge which did cut down the pitch size somewhat. We did let the staff know but they had no room to move us as the site was full so we made do!
All in all pretty good, it is very well situated for exploring Cornwall, has loads of facilities and is near to excellent beaches.

Had a fantastic time! Took our 5 month old and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though we arrived in the worst weather ever,we found that people were quick to help us put up the tent. Staff were friendly and helpful and everywhere was always immaculate during the day.

Must be one of the best sites here in Cornwall.I only live 25 mile away yet spend many weeks there. 3 wellstocked fishing ponds, 25lb carp inc. 18 hole golf. Plus putting green. Entertainment for kids till 8pm then adults cabaret till midnight. Good food at sports bar. Open air pool. The entire camp is spotless I cannot recommend this site enough. I do not however go in high season as it is too popular and crowded for my liking. Have a week at easter and get a week in September half price. I do
