Another great holiday at Appuldurcombe park. Static caravan and site very clean and tidy and staff very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be returning next year. Everything about this site is 100% excellent. Also great location for visiting Ventnor and Shanklin.

FANTASTIC HOLIDAY PARK!
We stayed at Orchard Lodge for a week over the first May bank holiday. We had the best holiday for a long time. May seemed a good time to go to the island. It wasnt too busy and you could always find somewhere to park and attractions werent packed. The weather was so hot all week and there was so much to do on the Isle of Wight.
We were very impressed with the Appuldurcombe Gardens Holiday park. It's so well maintained and everyone is incredibly friendly. It is peaceful and quiet but within a good distance of the beaches and towns so you didnt feel cut off which is perfect. We will definatly be returning with our family and friends in the future. We dont have anything bad to say about it at all! We felt completely at home and there were always people around if we needed to ask anything. The lodge was spacious and homely. Everything you needed was provided and we had no problems at all. Would recommend it 100%! :o)

We visited this site again over 10 days covering the August Bank Holiday. Even though it was the busiest time of the year, the site did not seem over packed. We had requested a particular pitch and the site obliged.
The new shower and toilet blocks are fantastic. Piping hot showers and really clean, well as clean as the other site users left them. They are cleaned on a daily basis and there is another shower block over the other side of the camp too.
The shop had fresh bread on a daily basis and other basics.
The club has lots of activities in the evening for all ages.
The pool was fabulous and a real sun trap.
Only thing we would suggest for 'high' season is more washing up sinks. The queues in the morning were sometimes quite long and the washing up area is really compact.
Roll on this September when we will be returning.

We found the camp site by chance in 2006 and have been back again this year and have booked again for next year already. It is a great family site. This year we benefited from the newly refurbished shower / toilet block which are great. The site and its amenities are always clean and tidy and the gardens are lovely. The pool area is great and the children enjoy the freedom of the park and the games field. We are not one to visit the club but are not affected by any noise as it is kept to a minimum and closes at sensible hours. The owners and staff are friendly and available if needed. In short if you want a clean, safe and family friendly site look no further.

We have just returned from this campsite from a weeks holiday, it is a lovely campsite to stay at, we had bad a few days of bad weather with strong winds & rain. There is plenty of things to do on the island, we have two children aged 12 years & 1 half year old. We have already decided to go back again next year to this campsite, the ferry was arranged for us through the campsite & it only cost us £80.00 for the return ,this campsite is well worth the money & the club on site was great as well. The staff are really helpful & polite. The toilets are always clean & tidy, the shop was useful for all the basic stuff that you need & other people staying there are really nice as well.

After being persuaded by my wife that it would be fun to go camping in the wettest summer in living memory I must admit the idea did not appeal very much. After reading reviews and stories from the past about this site I hoped the new updates to the facilities would be finished by the time we arrived. We could not have asked for a better holiday the weather was perfect all week, the new updated shower block was very good with hot water all day long, very clean and tidy. The pool was busy at times but plenty of sun beds. I am not one for entertainments on site but I must say this week was very good with Derek Sandy the highlight. Overall I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a well run family site close to the main beaches in a lovely location.

Our family stayed at Appuldurcombe recently having stayed on campsites on the IOW before. This a very good site for all types of campers or caravanners. There is limited space and the plots are large thus the site is unlikely to be overcrowded. It is well organized and the site was very well kept and extremely clean. I felt safe letting the children ride around the site or visit the site shop. The toilets and showers have recently been refurbished and were regularly cleaned. The swimming pool, bar, shop were all in order along with the children's play area. Appuldurcombe is situated in Wroxall about 4 miles from Ventnor and ideally situated to get to most of the favored attractions and towns. A 4 night pitch including the ferry cost £180. A little expensive however compared to some other sites we have stayed on the IOW, well worth it.

Our first trip to IOW so we treated ourselves to a static! Everything was arranged very easily, the ferry crossing and the two caravans we requested close together. When we arrived we were delighted the horrendous weather had lifted and the site looked lovely. Our statics were in a very well looked after orchard and the best bit was that there were no cars allowed in the area so it was perfectly safe and fun for our two little ones. Swimming pool was 'fresh' but we loved it in the afternoons when it was quite. It did however get very busy with older children 'bombing', it would have been great to have some sort of authority making sure that the pool didn't get unruly. The caravans were spotless and even though we took the most basic ones more than comfortable. We didn't go into the bar or use the shop much. The cafe looked good but we did dinner outside most nights. We had a look at the camping field as we are campers at heart and thought it was well laid out, pretty & we would definitely consider it on another occasion. As always at the height of the summer season there were a lot of larking about by older kids but as we were tucked up by 10pm most nights we weren't very aware of it. IOW was ace beaches & picture perfect villages. We will be back.

We have camped on this site and stayed in a static caravan and I must say that this site is excellent. Static caravans are great and there is a brand new toilet / shower block in the camping field. Good shop , cafe and bar. Outdoor pool is also very nice. Site is well located for ventnor and shanklin. Site is very clean and staff helpful. All in all 10/10 and we will be returning next year !

Good site for a family holiday. Bar and club on site for those who want it. Get a pitch well away from the Club if you don't. Good facilities. Pubs within walking distance. English Heritage Historic House next door (great for picnics) along with falconry centre. Pool was small and busy but you could get a swim early doors or after the kids had gone in for their tea. Handy for Sandown, Shanklin but best of all for Ventnor. Evening meal and real ale at the Spyglass watching the yachts race round the island while the kids play on the beach under the patio area. Better still it rained all week on the mainland while we enjoyed superb sunshine! (Shhhhhh). This was our first camping holiday and we all want to go back someday.
