Beautiful site from the moment you turned into the entrance. Extremely helpful staff too, was taken to pitch and helped to set up. Pitch set in wooded area, with hardstanding shaded and grass pitches on more open ground. All amenities closed for half an hour in the morning which showed because they were always spotless and very well kept. All other caravanners friendly. A short drive up to ainsdale beach worth going to, empty sandy beach with coastal views right round to blackpool etc. Rebooking for next month.

Just come back after a four night stay over Easter.
Excellent site. Wardens helpful and visible. Showers & toilets spotless, cleaned properly throughout the day. Secure site.
Pitches well drained, membrain under grass which seems to stop excess water.
Plenty of walks from site to Ainsdale beach and through the Nature Reserve. Will be going back

Visited this site over a May weekend, very friendly wardens who show and assist you to your pitch.
Site is well laid out and the facilities are very good. However, shower cubicles are small if you are trying to shower a child as well.
Busy road outside, but little road noise to disturb you.
Sheet of rules handed out on arrival, but not enforced, children kicking footballs around in close proximity to expensive units.
Overall though, would recommend a visit.

Pretty well everything has already been said about this site. We stay here a lot as we have relatives in nearby Litherland. Security is very good and the site is well managed. The staff are most helpful, even helping is to move halfway through our stay when the pitch we wanted became vacant. The only downer is the some of the grass pitches are a little claustrophobic in relation to your neighbours.
There is a large Tesco on the by-pass, Southport near and even Blackpool isn't too far.It is a quieter at night than CC Southport which we also stayed at, but thats another review!

Just arrived back from our very first outing in the caravan and we really enjoyed it.
We decided on this site as it was only 1 hour away and the reviews read well.
The staff and wardens were very helpful so much so that the warden with the 'brummie' accent showed us to our pitch and even helped me reverse the caravan in to position.
The site is very clean and tidy as is the shower block and toilets . Formby point is a good day out there is some great sand dunes down there and also has a nature reserve . Over all for our first time touring we had a great time and would be going back to willowbank again.

Lovely caravan park. 2 fields, one statics, one touring. Very clean modern toilet block. 5 loos 3 showers. Showers push button (20 seconds) and hot. Shown to our pitch by 2 very helpful wardens. No shop on site, but there is a Spar 1/2 a mile away, opens at 8 o'clock. £15.95 per night, 2 adults and a dog. One off £1.50 booking fee. Key for toilet and barrier £10.00 deposit, refundable. Recycling facilities. A little noise from the road and RAF base (helicopters) next door but these didn't bother us. Would definitely come again, good base for Southport, check the houses at Royal Birkdale Golf Course on way into Southport. Wow.

As we stayed on this site on the 19/8/07 for the first time we were very pleased with the time we spent. We found that the site was quiet and very clean, the toilets we saw were cleaned every day, they were spotless. As the weather was so bad, it rained all the time so we did not go any where apart from going into Southport The staff are very helpful, we will be going back soon, well done Willowbank and thanks for a wonderful break we had. look forward to coming back.

Just spent two nights here. Lovely site, nice and clean. Handy walking area for the dog. Peaceful and quiet, lots of rabbits and the odd hedgehog. If you want a relaxing time then this is the site for you. The only downfall of the site is no shop so you do have to drive or walk for the essentials needed unless you are really organised and have everything with you. Not like us i might add, but Tesco is not that far by car.
The toilets and showers are very clean although do shut for cleaning in the morning when everyone needs them! Would be better to shut in the afternoon when people would be other wise off site or already dressed and showered. Otherwise nothing else is a problem.

An excellent site, with extremely friendly wardens and immaculate facilities. A mixture of grass and hardstanding pitches with the whole site well cared for. There is a separate area with statics, and this isn't the slightest obtrusive as it even has a separate entrance from the touring pitches.
Five minutes from Ainsdale Village and an easy drive into Southport.

One of our favourite sites that we use regularly when in the UK. The facilities are spotless and staff exceptionally helpful. Pitches are well laid out and there is a feeling of space on this site. Some pitches are closer to the main road so there might be traffic noise, but it has never disturbed us. Ainsdale Village is very close that has a selection of shops and restaurants. Within five minutes going towards Liverpool on the main road is a Tesco Superstore open 24hrs per day. Southport itself is a very pleasant five minute drive along the coast road.
