Reasonable base location but not particularly close to any amenities,
Internet is not free which considering the cost of this site was not expected,
Pitch location was good and flat, amenity block was clean and well maintained.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Children play area appeared tired and limited with older children (teens?) using it as a meeting point

We have stayed at Willowbank many times over the years as its a convenient place to stay for visiting family in Liverpool.
The facilities are of a very high standard and always well maintained.
The area has a great variety of things to do with Southport a short drive or cycle away. Ainsdale is the closest town and has some great cafés and restaurants.
Liverpool is easy to get to by car or train from Ainsdale.

Excellent Site,
Would definitely return,
Good shower facilities and washing facilities.
Very quiet.
Plenty to do around surrounding area.
Beach just up the road, shops local, town not far away.

Willowbank caravan site is the nicest site I gave stayed on.
The toilets /showers were immaculate.
The site was lovely and spacious too.
The site is located close to Ainsdale beach and to Southport.

Stunning site, level pitches on grass or hardstanding.
Toilet block spotlessly clean, showers still hot at 8. 30pm.
Owners take you to pitch and help unhitching.
Not a spec of litter anywhere, owners rightly proud of this little gem and so easy to find.
You have got to visit.

Really enjoyed our stay here. We arrived ½ an hour before the official arrival time and thought we’d ask anyway. Don’t arrive early if possible as they’re still preparing from those who’ve just left.
However they were really friendly, personally delivered us to our pitch to avoid any confusion, and gave loads of information about the area, places to visit etc.
The staff were really helpful and told us to ask at reception if we had forgotten anything. Apparently Easter weekend had a lot of newbies who’d left important things at home!
It’s really peaceful and rural and close to the sand dune beach. Great walking in the local area although Formby is about 3 miles away so not really walkable from the site.
The Sparrowhawk pub is within walking distance - 10 minutes walk- and is superb! Book in advance though.
This site is very clean and well maintained. The toilets are immaculate and apparently award winning.
Will be definitely coming back here.

A nice site with level grass pitches and clean facilities.
A little too organised for our liking but served it’s purpose well.
Only one washing up sink which I imagine would be a problem in busy times.

A very tidy and well-kept site. The facilities were small but very clean and modern.
Although close to a busy road, there was no disturbance from the traffic noise.
The site is close to a main bus route between southport and Liverpool and the train station in Ainsdale is a 30 min walk.
There are good cycle paths to Southpport and south to Formby, Crosby and Liverpool, as well as the trans-Pennine trail - and the area is very flat!
Overall we were well impressed and would certainly visit again.

Amazing site, wardens are very helpful and were helping a couple next to us with their new caravan.
Clean and spacious level pitches without a good dog walk.
We cycled to southport which was lovely.
