We have just returned from a very enjoyable two night stay at this site. Staff very helpful and friendly, our two kids (aged 12 and 10) especially enjoyed the large games room which features two good table tennis and pool tables.
There is a good little football pitch with goals and a (quite limited) play area for younger children.
Showers and toilets were spotlessly clean and when we visited were the only ones in them, the majority of visitors were in caravans and probably use their own facilities.
There are plenty of farm animals around to amuse younger kids - I would very much recommend this well run site.

This is an excellent site with excellent reviews and I have a to agree with them. The site itself is very well maintained indeed and the facilities are first class. Well maintained pitches and lots of hot water in the heated toilet blocks which were kept immaculately clean all weekend. There is a very well stocked shop on site as well. I couldn't fault the site itself although it is not really my cup of tea.
Firstly, I hate gravel paths on campsites. There is nothing more annoying than car wheels on gravel when you are trying to get away from cars and other stresses of everyday life, especially when the pitches are right next to them.
I am also not very fond of sites which line the units up alongside each other like a supermarket car park, although this site does also have a field which allows random pitching. There are saplings growing between the pitches as well, so once mature these may take the starkness off the pitches and give a little privacy.
The pitches however, are fantastic. Lush green grass with no signs of yellowing or bare patches even though the site is open all year. They are certainly well maintained. There are hardstandings as well of course, made of the same grey gravel as the pathways.
There are plenty of things for youngsters (or oldsters) to do on site such as the play area, games room, animals to see, and fishing lakes, which is probably a good thing because there isn't a great deal of interesting things to do or see within walking distance of this site. I think this site is a good base for touring the area or simply for camping.
The website states that the Oxford Canal and the River Cherwell runs through part of the site. I am sure they do but I and other campers had a hard job finding a way through to them via the campsite itself. There seems to be a very wet and boggy water meadows with no apparent way through to the waters edge. I did manage to stagger along a rough area between the campsite and an adjoining motorcycle scrambling course and caught a sight of the river beyond the meadows. Perhaps I was in the wrong place.
I did eventually find the canal about one and a half miles along the very busy and dangerous road outside the campsite where there is a pub called the Rock of Gibraltar. The pub has a garden and about 30 yards of canal frontage on the opposite side of which is a busy industrial estate, not a very pleasant setting and a little disappointing. The reception and the beer in the pub were not that welcoming either.
However, if you can run the gauntlet of the busy main road in the opposite direct to the village there is the Blacks Head, a very nice pub with friendly staff and very well cooked meals. They are actually open from 6am to serve newspapers and breakfasts. Now that's my sort of pub!
I can't stress enough how dangerous the road outside the site is though. Very fast traffic and very rough grass verges to dive onto. If you have dogs or children it would not be wise to try walking it.
A very nice site though and obviously well liked by many people. The owners are doing a good job and it seems to be an ongoing task.

2nd Rally of the year to this site, we love it. Site is spotlessly clean. Toilets and showers are 2nd to none. Owners are lovely nice people.
Already booked for next years rally. A site everyone must visit at least once, but when you've been once you will return over and over again. All the work that is being carried out on the site is making it better by the month. Keep up the good work.

Great AA site, good sized pitches,it was windy this weekend had a quiet 3 nights here nice clean pitch on the fishing lake side of the site 100yds from the entrance & the 1st heated bright shower/block 2 large wet room showers & lots of hot water & were always clean.
As this site matures the pitches will gain more shelter from the planted hedges, trees & fences 2nd shower block closed for renovation at the moment ok as site about half booked this time of year.Cant thank the owners enough as most helpful.
Small animals petting farm(ducks, chickens, goats & pigs) no problem at all at this working / farm site.Play area on far side of site ok for older kids(football & swings)and games room warm & dry. Site shop closed Oct to May.Local pub short drive to village and Sainsburys & park & ride 4 miles out from oxford £4.00 return 2 adults 1 car.Site security gates closed at night.
We like this site & hope to return in future.

Good well run site. Undergoing some building work whilst we were there. No problem. Staff Helpful. Toilet facilities very good. Much work still to be done on this site, but has great potential. Well worth a visit. Local area interesting Good facilities for young ones. Pub in village (2miles) does super food and has a good range of real ales.

We had a lovely time at this small campsite. We took four children under 5 and they enjoyed playing on the climbing frames, which we can be seen from a large number of the pitches, meaning parents can relax! The children also enjoyed seeing the farm animals and feeding the ducks. The toilets and showers were very clean. There is a small shop for essentials.

I went to this fab site again just for one night with a few friends I will however go back again.
Its nice to see the new site shop open for business too and it will be nice to see the new toilet block finished just as quick too in the rally field.
Theres not much I can say about this site that I havent already said in the past when I have stopped there.

We stayed here for four nights and had a great time. The site is very well equipped with plenty of space for each unit. The pitches all seem flat and the staff were helpful. Unfortunately it's close to a military base and one night there were helicoptors buzzing around all night. We visited a lot of National Trust properties in the area plus it is close to the Cotswolds. The canal is a short distance away with a couple of pubs in either direction, which provide good food. Would recommend it to all types of people as they had separate facilities for dogs and a play area for children. This left the areas around the tents/vans free and very quiet. Well worth a visit.

A fine campsite, with good facilities and friendly/helpful staff.
Toilet block is certainly on the posh side, although the actual number of toilets and showers is too few - over the busy weekend that we stayed there was often a queue.
Football goals in the children's play area went down well with our five & seven year old boys, as did the table tennis in the game's room.

Lovely site, grass pitches are very well maintained and spacious, ours was a bit soggy but they'd had so much rain over the past few days we were not surprised. Slight slope on some pitches so leveling blocks may be required. Toilets immaculate, Staff very friendly, small shop on site with all the essentials. Lovely playground area for the children. Good recycling facilities too. Children loved the farm animals and there's fishing available on site. Security 1st class, it was a quiet site, child and dog friendly. Will be going back without a doubt!
