A large commercial site with excellent facilities and warden patrolled who show you to your pitch. Well organised and no noise problem considering the size. Only annoyance was one of the warden's car alarm kept going off one night and woke us up, but that can happen anywhere.
We were in one of the rally fields and the new toilet block was excellent, the best showers I've ever used camping. There is a games room but no clubhouse (thank goodness). It was okay for a stopover of two nights but it's too large for my liking and we are unlikely to pick this one again for that reason.

Just returned from two weeks at Greenhill Leisure Park. As two older generation campers, we were looking for a site offering peaceful evenings and adequate facilities and we were not disappointed.
Although this is probably the largest site I have used, it never seemed crowded, being spread over three fields. There are three facilities blocks, a playing field for younger campers and a games room with table tennis tables, a pool table and various arcade machines.
There are also fridges and freezers in here - which we didn't discover until several days into the holiday. There are also spare plug points, in case you want to recharge your mobile phone or lighting.
Showers were always hot and the shower rooms themselves are large unlike other sites where there is little space to get dressed after showering. There are also clothes washing and ironing facilities. All the facilities were in very good condition.
We didn't need to make use of the on site shop, but it is adequately stocked with various camping necessities and basic food, including meat from the farm.
Staff were really pleasant and helpful - a credit to the business.
Pitch fees were incredibly reasonable at £85 per week for a tent with two older generation campers. Other friends at a site the other side of Oxford paid considerably more, though with a young son, they appreciated the additional facilities for children at that site.
The local pub in Bletchingdon provided decent meals and some great local personalities to listen to! We also tried the pub in Hampton Poyle - be careful what you choose - I ordered a pepperoni pizza which looked good but was utterly tasteless such that I sent it back only partially consumed and although I was offered the option to order another meal I had gone past wanting to wait whilst something else was prepared. My colleague's meal he said was tasty, though a small portion. Bit pricey too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the site. We will certainly use the site again if looking to camp near to Oxford.
Some reviews have referred to their tents being 'visited' by the chickens - we didn't see any so perhaps the site owner has addressed this.

Just returned from a lovely 5-night stay (Sun – Fri) at Greenhill Leisure.
Thought we were never going to get to site, the drive is long with some vicious speed bumps!
Easy booking in, with a nice man on a bike showing us to our pitch. In a large field at the bottom end of the camp site (Woodside) which looked new – huge pitches with newly planted trees surrounding each one. Field we were in wasn’t muddy, we had a dry(ish) week luckily, but could see loads of matting under the grass, presumably to address this. Quite exposed to the wind but I suppose it will be more sheltered when the trees grow. Railway line and Oxford Airport not far away but didn’t notice noise after a day.
Toilet/shower block excellent. Showers more like a wet room but plenty of room to get dried. We had the field mostly to ourselves so didn’t have any problems getting in the showers, although it could possibly get busy (3 toilets & 3 showers in ladies) when site more full.
Very easy to get to A34, & Oxford Park & Ride just down the road at Kidlington (as is a Harvester & a large Sainsburys). Visited Blenheim (not worth the money)
The only criticism I could make, and it’s nothing to do with the site, is with the dog walkers walking their dogs early in the morning and chatting very loudly, which happened to be right behind our tent!
Would give extra star for facilities if WiFi had extended to our field, had to go and sit outside the shop to get a signal. No hardship though as it has a nice patio area with benches and umbrellas!
All in all an excellent site and would definitely recommend it.

Just had a wonderful week camping at Greenhill Leisure Park with some friends and their family.
The location is ideal, nice and quiet and several hundred metres from the nearest main road, which meant that the kids could cycle around the whole site without the possibility of straying onto the main road.
There is a petting farm which the kids loved and ducks wandering around the site which is great. There are fishing lakes which are a nice size and although we didn`t fish there were plenty of campers who did, and you didn`t have to pay which is a bonus!
The site shop is well stocked with provisions fresh eggs, meat etc as well as the all important beer/wine. There is a good sized games room which would is ideal if the weather is not too good, as it was we had excellent weather apart from 1 night of rain and 1 or 2 small showers.
The pitches were not muddy and the ground is well drained. When we arrived we thought that the pitch we were given was for ourselves and our friends, as it turned out, it was all ours! So no problems with being on top of each other, plenty of room.
The shower and toilet blocks are kept clean and tidy although the block nearest our pitch got busy on Saturday morning when the weekend campers had arrived but that is being picky of me, I should have got up earlier.
The sites wardens were extremely helpful and a good source of information about areas to visit and things to do. I can`t recommend this site highly enough and look forward to returning in near future.

We stayed here for two nights in July with four children and our dog. What a great site! There are three different fields which are all quite different. One seemed to be pitch less so you just camped/parked where you wanted, one was clearly a newer field with less privacy and some water logging issues and then the field we were in.
We stayed to the left of the main reception/shop buildings. Pitch sizes are fabulous and have a good degree of privacy. Pitches are well spread out with plenty of space in front for the children to play (wellies required on a morning!).
My only criticism of the pitches were those next to the opening to the park or dog walking field had plenty of traffic walking passed but maybe some people like that?
The shower blocks were impeccable. Can't fault them other than it'd be nice to have a few cubicles with sinks in so you could have a private wash rather than shower. Whilst we were closest to the smaller block we used the main one for showers as it was bigger.
The shop was well stocked and staff friendly. The indoor play area was ok although more geared towards older children. The outside playground was good although could do with a few extra things for the children to play on.
The dog walking field was a very good size although we spotted a lot of dog mess unfortunately.
It would be nice if the wifi could serve the whole site (at additional cost maybe) as we weren't near a hotspot.
Would definitely recommend and are planning to revisit in the future.

A marvellous four nights spent here with my two children, along with a friend and her child in their tent and two friends (plus dog) in a VW camper. Site staff were extremely helpful in putting us together on the spacious pitches so the van could have electric and the tents not.
Luxurious facilities - almost as nice as a bathroom you'd have at home with slate floors, large showers and free hot water!
A nice little play area for children - there does need to be a few more bits of play equipment for a 10/10 review.
Great little camp shop.
A wonderful stay - we have remembered our pitch numbers for next year!

We stayed here for 3 nights in some of the worst weather we've ever camped in!
The site is fairly large, with well spaced out pitches - we had a hard standing, with grass to one side and it seemed enormous, although we didn't use the awning due to the weather. You'll probably need rock pegs for the hard standing, too.
The owner/warden showed us to our pitch and gave us all the info. At all times we found the whole staff to be more than pleasant.
There are 3 facility blocks, all spotless, but the newest one bore the palm, as it was arranged as huge wet rooms with wonderfully powerful, untimed showers. A good idea here was that you left your shoes outside your cubicle - other owners please note!
There are 3 or 4 camping fields on the site, some without ehu. There is also a games room, playing field (which sadly was waterlogged), shop, 3 fishing lakes, a rally field, and animals to visit. Ducks visited the caravan, too, which was nice. They (not the ducks)also sell their own eggs and meat in the shop - delicious!
There was noise from the Oxford Airfield as people were flying in to Silverstone, however there was no noise from this at night. Neither is there road noise as the site is approached down a long tarmaced track, with speed bumps. The site is also protected by an electric barrier.
There is access to the Oxford Canal on site, however the approach was so muddy we didn't try this. There are also pubs in the local villages which we didn't use.
We did go to Blenheim, which was fabulous despite the terrible weather. Oxford is close by, too, however we chose to viset Towcester and Leicster as we have rellies there!
All-in-all this is a beautiful well priced site, and if we're in the area we'd definitely use it again.

We stayed at Greenhill Farm for 3 nights at the beginning of August with a small group of friends. We were on electric pitches very near to the fishing lakes.
The pitches are very large, marked by small trees and bushes, enough room for a large tent, a small tent and 3 cars. There was a slight problem with drainage, would imagine they get very wet with lots of rain.
The staff at Greenhill are fantastic; very friendly and extremely helpful.
Our first night was slightly marred by an extremely neurotic neighbour, who, at 10pm, whilst we were playing cards quietly in our tent, screamed 'SHUTUP' right outside, and then accused us of waking up the whole campsite! She and her very embarrassed husband left the next morning, cutting short a week's stay, shame! The campsite has a quiet policy from 11pm and the staff were very apologetic about our ordeal.
There is shop at reception which sells essentials and lots of fishing gear. There are three shower blocks, and the 2 we used were immaculate, lots of hot water and always clean. There are plenty of washing-up sinks.
The fishing lakes were a real hit with the older children, kept them amused all day. There is a nice children's playground and a small football pitch. There is a really nice barn with pool and table tennis tables and pinball machines for rainy days. There are lots of animals to be seen at the farm and several friendly ducks roam around the site.
There is a nice dog walking area, and some nice walks, particularly across the back fields to Thrupp, where The Boat is a particularly nice pub.
Overall we liked the site, particularly the staff, the showers and the fishing. So we're coming back in a few weeks!

Just got back from spending 4 nights at Greenhill. First thing I will say is I wish we had stayed longer. There is everything there that you could wish for as a camper. The shop is well stocked and has a good selection including local produce and meat.
The games room although not used did look to cater for the wetter days. The toilet block is impeccable did not have to wait for a shower and the water was always hot.
The pitches are well spaced out and are a fair size. The only issue is the field we were located in (far/bottom field) its get very muddy with a small amount of rain, the site have compensated for this by installing matting which helps.
The animals on site do give that added extra interest to the kids with alpacas, pigs, cows, sheep, ducks, chicken and rabbits (wild). The 'play' field was well equipped with football goals, a mock tractor for the kids to scramble over and other wooden obstacles to also scramble over.
We didn't venture to the local pubs, although did try to go to the rock of Gibraltar for food Sunday evening but they only serve from 12-3 on a Sunday, so went elsewhere. This pub is reachable from the site (through the dog walking area and follow the signs, saves walking along the road)
Places that we visited whilst there were, Oxford City(recommend the guided tour from the Information Centre), Bletchley Park and Cotswold Wildlife Park. Blenheim Palace is also very close but we didn't go this time (have been before).
All in all I can't wait to go back, staff so helpful with a small *cough* battery issue with my car upon leaving the site.

We visited this site for the first time for a long weekend with our friends. It had been recommended to us by other friends. We had electric hook-up. Staff were very friendly, and the site was tidy and clean.
We didn't take our dogs but it was very dog friendly, with a dog field and places to hook your dogs when you went to the shop etc.
The toilet blocks were faultless and the children loves the games room and park.
We visited The Blacks Head Inn and had a lovely meal, we drove but it is within walking distance. We also visited Godwin's Ice cream farm, Weston on the Green.
It was busy but it did not impact on the use of the facilities.
Shop is well stocked and very reasonable.
Overall a very enjoyable stay and we are planning next years visit and we also hope to visit again with family.
