Just back from a FABULOUS week here. Campsite is an absolute delight to be in as well as the surrounding areas. Pitches are very decent in size, so no trouble in setting up a large tent. Shower & toilet blocks clean & tidy majority of the time (think this depends on the human traffic and the time that you go)also has 3/4 family/disabled shower areas with all facilities you could need. Dish washing facilities good with large sinks and drainers. Hot water could have done with being a little hotter but that just a personal preference. Lovely play area for children (and where my 2 spent an awful amount of time) fabulous fishing lakes too. Planes & trains can be heard in the background but wasn't annoying in the slightest. Large field for dog exercising came in very useful for my little pooch too. Shop was very reasonably priced and had lots to offer and the site bar/café was very reasonable too and the food was delicious. Warden & staff were very helpful & accommodating & always wore a smile. All in all the family had a totally amazing time to the extent that we have booked up ready for 2015 :)

After 4 nights away, we arrived from this site yesterday! We had three pitches together (1, 2 and 3 in the Woodside area and there were 43 pitches).

The facilities were excellent!

Pitch size - very generous indeed! No problem for big tents!

Loo and shower block - 3 loos and 3 showers for the ladies and the same for the men + 3 urinals. These were fine for this week as there were only a few tents there but it may be a problem if the area is full! The block was very clean. Wardens should check loo paper availability more often as it ran out twice during our stay(female loos). There is another block further away from Woodside area.

Playground, farm animals and barn games - Very good and safe! Children spent many hours playing there.

Site shop - had all the basics and a bit more, but was expensive. However, the 'site restaurant' was very reasonable!

Please be aware that you can hear the trains and planes, but will switch off after a day or so there.

The location is amazing! Very close to many marvelous sites - Big Tesco, Bicester outlet shopping, and Millets only 15 mins away. Culture down the road in Oxford and country walks by the canal or river. However for further afield Bourton-on-the-water in the Cotswolds was outstanding.

We recently enjoyed a weekend at this site, I thought the entrance drive was great, it felt like you were leaving one world for another! The pitch was roomy and there was plenty of space for a car and caravan and space to live side by side. It is a very well equipped site with extensive shop and bar area. There was some plane and train noise but I soon got used to it and the brain blocked it out. I loved the wandering ducks and chickens, and they loved us. Or at least the bread and biscuits we threw out for them. There is a lovely cross country walk, only a relaxed 15 minutes to the local pub called the 'Rock of Gibraltor' which does some nice basic pub food. The toilet block was tip top and I noticed they have a great children's' play area. Location was perfect for visiting the Blenheim Palace Battle Proms. Would I go again. Yes I would! Oh and the comments about the bedside manner were probably on the right side; did feel the person was a tad abrupt and a bit unfriendly, but heyho live and let live.

Had a lovely weekend here at the end of the half term break. Very quick response to last minute on line enquiry. Paid £23. 00 per night including EHU for two adults, one child and a 16 month old, who was admittedly free. Occupancy of pitches is from and till midday, giving you plenty of pack down time after breakfast.

On arrival staff were friendly and helpful. The gent who showed us to our pitch was rather apologetic for the pitch being a bit soggy - actually considering the amount of rain we'd had over the previous week, the pitch was surprisingly dry - a sign that the site is well drained. We were on a grass pitch as tenters, but I'd say around two thirds of the site also offered hard standings for caravans.

Our pitch was big enough for a 5 person tent, car and trailer, with plenty of room to spare, so I'd be quite happy to turn up here with our Outwell Monty 6 and front awning. I didn't see any pitches that I'd describe as small. All pitches are marked either by mature hedges or, in our case, young trees. The site has a gentle slope, but nothing you really notice for any practical purpose.

There are three facilities blocks, which proved more than adequate even on a pretty busy weekend. These are well fitted, well maintained and were kept very clean throughout our stay. Water points are also plentiful. There is an on site shop/bar, that was showing sporting events (England v Peru) during the evenings, which I thought was a nice touch. There's also a games room, which I didn't go into, but I could see had a pool table and several arcade games, etc. This is a farm site so there were loads of animals for my little boy to see, including pigs, sheep, alpacas, ducks and geese. We were visited both mornings during breakfast by a drake and here ducklings, who were clearly on an inspection tour. There are also two fishing pools on the site and though I don't fish myself, I chatted at length to another camper who visits the site regularly, being particularly attracted by the fishing, so I'm guessing it must be at least OK. There's also a nice little playground for the kiddies and a football pitch with a five- a- side goal.

Dogs are allowed on site but the rules surrounding this are, quite rightly, stringent, and a dog 'exercise' field us provided. As a result I didn't see any poo on the site whatsoever, even in the rough grass areas, which is a refreshing change when compared to some sites that allow dogs.

The site is about 15 minutes from the M40, 5 minutes from the A34, 15/20 minutes from Bicester and about the same from Oxford. There are good pubs within walking distance either left or right out of the site entrance so there's no need to worry about finding a decent pint or a good meal if you fancy eating out. There's an airfield nearby, so you frequently see light planes above the site - again quite fascinating for my 3 year old.

OK, that's the facts out of the way, now the opinion. This is a really nice site by any standard: well set up and well kept, but nicely relaxed and welcoming. I'd also describe the site as very child friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will certainly be back next time we want to visit this part of the world. I'm sure others may be able to find fault, I can't! Enough said.

Just spent a lovely few days at this friendly campsite. Set in a very picturesque area. The facilities were very clean. Plenty for the children to do. A very well stocked shop, that sold everything you needed, even their own meat & free range eggs produced on the farm. There was a newly opened tea room & bar, with good cooked food & cakes. Which was a welcome escape when it rained. We will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommended.

My partner Mark and I stayed at Greenhill Leisure Park on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th March 2014.

Overall we were very impressed with the site. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful too.

The free fishing was a real bonus. But only one of us caught a fish so that wasn't good. As it was Mark not me!

The site was very peaceful and the facilities were very good. The showers blocks were excellent with plenty of hot water, clean and tidy too.

We shall definitely return to this site sometime in the future.

Nice site divided into several fields so it didn't feel too large. We had a decent sized pitch although some of the EHU pitches were right in the middle of the field so were not so regulated and it wouldn't be so obvious where each pitch started and finished. But this did make this field feel a bit less regimented then some of the others where the pitches were lined up alongside the road.

Nearest toilet block (and also the newest one I think) was good - best showers we've come across and really light and clean. Also two family rooms with toilets and showers and a laundry room. Fridge to store ice blocks in the games room.

Well stocked shop and pizza van on Friday night (which we didn't use) but went instead to the The Boat Inn in Thrupp (right by the Oxford Canal) which was good and very friendly. Also Annie's Tea Room in Thrupp was excellent.

Kids loved the space to run around and the play area. You can walk to the Oxford Canal/River Cherwell from the site (via the dog walk area) but part of the walk is across/alongside a fast and busy road so we only did the walk once.

The site was quiet after 11pm which we were glad off as a couple of pitches were playing loud music earlier in the day but were quiet after 10pm onwards. Only noise is from the nearby trainline but this noise obviously doesn't last long!

We found the owners/wardens helpful when booking and when on site.

Only downside was that we didn't find the site to be close to many places to visit - we went to Oxford and to Woodstock and walked alongside the canal but struggled to find anywhere else that wasn't expensive (i. E. Blenheim) or some distance away. But appreciate that this is our personal taste!

We booked this site at short notice based on reviews we had read.

We have mixed views about the site. The gentleman on the phone who took our booking was very helpful and friendly however when we arrived there was a lady on the phone speaking to another customer and from what we heard she was very abrupt and not very helpful. The warden who showed us to our pitch was again abrupts and only told us where the toilet block was, we were not given any information about what facilities were on site.

However on the Saturday evening when our gas ran out they could not have been more helpful and they reopened the shop just so that we could replace our gas.

The pitches were very spacious and you certainly didn't feel overcrowded even though it was a busy bank holiday weekend. There was some noise in the evening from a large group camped near us but they were quiet before 11 o'clock.

The shower facilities really did depend on which block you went to. The small block that was nearest to our tent was awful. The showers were temperamental and either boiling hot or freezing cold. The only way to regulate the temperature was to keep switching them on and off. There were tiny sinks in the ladies toilets but the soap dispenser was outside the toilet! However the larger block near the shop was excellent - plenty of lovely hot water and the shower stayed the same temperature!

The fridge/freezer in the games room (which we only knew about as we had read it on here) were a godsend and a welcome addition.

We explored the local area by bike and visited Oxford and Blenheim Palace.

I would recommend the site even though it was a larger site than we would normally use.

We chose this site for the location and facilities offered, especially the fishing for my son, and based on the reviews here, and we certainly were not disappointed!

What a lovely site, which is definitely going to be a bit of a favourite for us, especially as it is only an hour and a quarter away from home.

We were a party of four adults and teenage son, plus the dog, and were joined for the first two days by my eldest daughter and her fiancé in their own tent on a pitch next to us, we were given an area to pitch rather than a marked pitch, so very flexible, and plenty of room for our Cabanon Espace 8, trailer and Landrover. We were lent free of charge an extension to our hookup by the site, as the electric point was quite a long way from our tent.

I really cannot fault anything on this well maintained, spacious and attractive site, really helpful and friendly staff, great shop on site (we certainly got through lots of the eggs that their hens laid) and there was plenty of space in the field we were on, the Orchard, which was very well maintained, lovely grass with none of the usual bare patches, and very well drained, as we found out when we had a downpour one morning, no mud or squelchiness as we went across to the facilities block.

Bearing in mind that it was one of their busiest times of the year, it never felt crowded, I never had to wait for a shower, the showers were some of the best I have used, very clean, very spacious, hot as you like, places to put your shower gel and shampoo, hooks to hang clothes and towels, a chair in each cubicle, you can control the temperature and turn the shower on and off as you wish, none of that push button every few seconds malarkey, lovely!

Clean washing up areas, bins emptied regularly and a laundry room with rotary airers supplied outside for campers' use, as well as a drier and washing machine that were unusually very efficient, unlike those at many other sites I have been to over the years.

My 14 year old son loved the fishing lakes and the ducks, he got into the habit of taking them something to eat each day, which made him very popular with the ducklings!

The dog walk was lovely, and our dog enjoyed many a lovely time playing with others there, I also never saw any mess left by others in the time we were there, lots of dogs on site and many really nice owners who we chatted to on our walks, and as we were near the gate to the dog walk we spoke to quite a few whose dogs came over to say hello to ours. I do have to say that I did think that £3 per night for the dog seemed a bit steep, considering that this was the same as the extra person rate. That said, he did enjoy his holiday too.

The walk down to the canal side pub was really pleasant, and we enjoyed a drink at the pub on two occasions, really nice garden outside and relaxing.

Good games room, although we only went there once, but this would be an asset if the weather was bad, we were very lucky and apart from the one downpour, we had mostly sunny and warm/hot weather.

The site is not far from a large Sainsburys for groceries, and the staff are happy to give you a pre printed slip with directions on.

As we run our own business, we had to bring our work laptop with us to deal with work emails, and had no problem with Wifi access in the field we were on.

The site was very quiet at night, and there were no loud rowdy groups of people in 'tent villages' which as we have seen on other sites can be a real nuisance. I don't know if the site allows groups like this, but certainly when we were there it was just families and couples enjoying sitting outside their tents having a meal, a chat and a quiet drink.

Overall, I would highly recommend this site for families and couples, we most certainly will be returning as soon as possible.

One of the best sites that I have been to in recent years.

This was our first family camping trip after buying our voyager 6 tent last year, so I didn't have any other camp sites to compare Green hill Leisure Park to.

This was a last minute booking, I called on the morning and the man took our name and told us to just arrive.

When you arrive there is a long drive way down to the farm/park (where there are a few pigs to look at) which is nice as it means your away from the main road. Theres a reception (with a small shop to stock up on essentials, and sweets!) I went in and paid our £52 for the 2 nights inc EHU, the man then showed me on the cctv where to meet someone who would take us to our pitch.

We drove through the gate and was shown to our pitch where we then set up. It was a nice size pitch with little trees separating them. We were round the side where it was nice and quiet.

The park has a play area for the children (no swings though which my daughter wanted) but there was a couple of football goals. The children spent most of there time here playing football with the other children, we felt it was safe enough for them to go down on their own, so I could read my book in peace!. There is a games room which I think needs a bit updating (i couldn't find any ping pong bats or balls to use) inside the games room are a few leaflets of the local area inc a indian take away who deliver to the park. There is also a fridge/freezer which looked quite full.

I think there is a takeaway fish and chip van on a friday evening but we weren't there on a friday so we didn't see it. We went to Kidlington (about 5 mins away by car) and had some lovely fish and chips and there's a Sainsburys and a Harvester where we had dinner one night.

We also visited Blenheim Palace (only about 10mins by car) on one of the days, which we enjoyed, we didn't go into the palace just the gardens where there is a butterfly farm a maze and a little train, it is quite expensive but in a lovely little village called Woodstock.

Bicester Outlet village is only about 10/15 mins away, we didn't go there but drove past it to go into Bicester which is also nice.

There is a lovely lake on the park which seemed quite popular with people fishing and some animals that you can walk around and look at (Chickens, Alpacas, Goats etc)

The toilets/showers were always kept clean - the shower cubicles were big, with a mop to mop up after you. The washing up facilities were also clean.

Overall we really enjoyed our first 2 nights camping at Greenhill Leisure park, it is a lovely little park (it is a working farm) and we want to return, next time though I would ask to be opposite the park just so I can see the children playing, we were just round the side, where it was lovely and peaceful. The lady in reception was nice and help full when we asked her a couple of questions.

My only minor gripe is that it is quite near an airport as you can often hear the planes going past, this wouldn't put me off going again though and obviously not the parks fault.
