July 2004 EXCELLENT site. I have just returned from this site where I was,(even as a backpacker) welcomed and given an excellent pitch. The facilities are modern and very clean, the showers in particular, which are free AND hot!!! The nearby village offers two good pubs and a Bistro. The site is sufficiently isolated to be quiet and pleasantly "country" but still easily accessible and offers a wealth of wallking routes.

June 2004 You won't find many reviews about this site because most people want to keep it their secret. It's quiet, relaxing, friendly and beautiful. The owners are really helpful & always working so the excellent facilities are very clean. I can't believe all the improvements since I last came. This year they've re-done the toilet block and put solar panels on the roof to heat the tiny swimming pool. Wild flowers, flower beds, hanging baskets, bird feeders, bird boxes - magic! Loads of advice and leaflets about where to visit, even cycle routes from the site. Sunday you can be spoilt with a newspaper delivered to your caravan step or tent and then a cooked breakfast with the best eggs and bacon I've tasted in a long time.
This is not a kids site and that really suited us and everyone staying here was friendly. The down side is that because it is small and popular it can be difficult to get a pitch especially at the weekend, but I think they keep one or two pitches back for a longer stay.
This has to be one of the best sites we have ever stayed on.

May 2003 This is a lovely site which is well maintained and exceptionally clean. The swimming pool was a nice bonus (there is a small additional charge). This is a very quiet site and although children are said to be welcome I feel this is not the case as they are frowned upon if they make any noise(as kids do,especially in the pool!) The site would benefit from being adults only so families don't feel uncomfortable when their children are enjoying themselves.

August 2002 We have to say this is the best campsite we have had the pleasure to have stayed at.The facilities were spotless, the pitches were well laid out,the pool area was relaxing, the small shop was well stocked.Ian&Sue were always on hand to give first class information about the areas we wanted to visit and the best places for good food, even down to a newspaper deliverd to our tent on sunday morning. Its one of those places where you arrive a stranger and leave as friends.Once again Ian&Sue many thanks.
