We have just spent 5 nights here in our touring caravan and it was such an enjoyable time. All 4 staff are so friendly and welcoming. The showers/toilet facilities are spotless, the shop is very handy and is packed with so many leaflets and information on local attractions we were spoiled for choice. The site is beautifully maintained with decorative trees, shrubs and flowers and is a joy to behold. The pitches are generous and quite private and the whole site is tranquil and peaceful.
Quite a good location for local visits and the roads are blissfully quiet, unlike where we live in the Ashfield area of Nottinghamshire.
We shall definitely return next time we visit the area.

Would agree with nearly all of the positive things said in previous reviews of this lovely site. A few caveats, thought. We did not think the pitches were that large by modern standards, certainly ours was almost completely consumed by our four-man tent. We were right on the end (pitch 7) looking up the field and directly into the next pitch. So we felt quite awkward sitting out. Some pitches were larger. Also, if you come with a tent, be aware that all the pitches have a central pea-gravel surface which you pitch your tent on; this is a bit rough on the ground sheet, and pegging down the edges of the tent requires very strong pegs. The site is mostly very quiet, but don't be surprised by a tractor early morning passing along the narrow road beside -- 6. 15am one Sunday morning. All pitches have electric hook-up with no reduction in fees if you don't use it; so it was also quite an expensive week for us.

We spent a week at this small adult only well kept campsite, it was just like being in someone's back garden. The wardens Barb and Gail made us feel very welcome. We had a really good time getting together with some of the other campers and having a bar-b-que. There is a swimming pool which is a nice touch especially on a hot day. The local area offers a couple of pubs within walking distance, one we went in we found the locals were very friendly especially a young lad playing the piano. Very nice and certainly value for money we will certainly return.

Just returned from an all too short one night stay at Greendale. We were looking for an overnight not too far from home for a rare overnight without the children. We really couldn't have chosen anywhere better. Beautifully maintained site with very friendly wardens. Fantastic information pack provided. We enjoyed a lovely meal at the White Lion in the village. Only sorry that we weren't staying longer - but we certainly will next time.

You can see that many years of passion and dedication have been given by the owners to create a beautiful relaxing location. The Garden setting is immaculate and the wardens Gail and Barb are very attentive. The shower and toilet facilities are basic but immaculate and functional. The White Lion in Whissendine is just 20 mins walk away and highly recommended. Will definitely be back.

Just returned from Greendale after a 3 night stay. This is the most wonderful, tranquil site. Like previous reviewer I don't want to advertise this place really, it's such a find. The wardens are excellent at their job. Very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The shop has the basics and wonderful fresh eggs. The grounds are very well kept and the facilities immaculate. Lovely clean loos and shower. A walk into Whissendine takes about 15/20 mins and the White Lion is friendly with good food. We caught the bus into Oakham which was lovely. We didn't get to the windmill, but I believe its well worth the trip. We don't have dogs, but it seemed very dog friendly (well behaved dogs only). Adults only which is a blessing to us. Thank you for such a wonderful and peaceful time.

Just returned from 2 nights away at this fantastic site. I almost don't want to leave such a good review, so as not to encourage other from going to this little slice of paradise!
Really welcoming site, with the wardens being helpful and friendly, but not intrusive as we've found at other sites. The pitch was level across, with a little adjustment needed front to back. Lovely views over the sheep filled fields and loads of birds visiting the site. The facilities, although a little small, are very clean and with a nice hot shower - there is nothing more you need.
Our two Labradors were made to feel very welcome, contrary to some doggy reports on here. With both the wardens and owners coming by to meet them and give them fuss/treats. We were just asked to walk and toilet them off site - which on such a nice site, makes a lot of sense.
We walked twice to the village - Whissendine, and visited the White Lion. A lovely pub, also doggy friendly - with a good selection of beers and a great menu.
All in all a lovely site, and hopefully, this will turn into our local bolt-hole when we need a little downtime.

Very tranquil site well maintained, helpful owners and wardens. Even though it is a small site facilities are above expectations men's and women's toilets and a shower in each ( free ). Pitches are of ample size and well maintained grass all around. Information pack handed to you on arrival is VERY INFORMATIVE down to nearest dentist Drs and vets. Site is dog friendly and is close enough to two towns for browsing round some quaint little shops, also some pretty little villages nearby. Little shop on site has your basic supplies along with a book or puzzles or games borrowing service. Would highly recommend shall return at a later date. ADULT ONLY SITE SO ONLY 1 OUT OF 10 FOR CHILDREN FRIENDLY.

This was our third visit to this site and as with the previous visits we found it very welcoming. The site itself was well kept and the facilities immaculate. As it was early in the season it was of course quiet. The owners are 'breaking in' two new wardens who seemed pleasant and conscientious. A sunny afternoon on Graffton water and a trip around the market at Melton were all we needed on this our first trip of the season.

Our first visit to Greendale farm park. It was smaller than we expected, and found the pitches rather small, we expected a 'farm park' as described. The site is very well looked after, and the shower & toilet block are very clean. The shop is a nice touch, with abundant information about the local area & handy for bits & bobs if you don't want to travel to the town.
The site was quiet, but we didn't think it very private, as our neighbours were in close proximity. This was made clear when our neighbour proceeded to erect a windbreak between us & him soon after our arrival. Not very welcoming.
As we were only passing through, we didn't really use all of the facilities, pool, etc, so cant comment on those.
It is a nice site, but we prefer more space, and freedom when we are away. Will stick to C. Ls in the future.
Please note; our scores are related to what WE like on our caravan trips, I. E, lots of space with just the odd sheep for company, no disrespect to the site owner, its just a bit manicured & orderly for our taste.
