August 2004 Very nice site despite rain! Loads of space for kids to run and a great play area. Toilets were clean and warm and free. Loads of great walks and we loved the "alfresco" chippy just opposite (never seen anything like it!) also the Blair Atholl hotel just a few hundred yards along had a great menu and a beer garden with play area. Will be back for the odd weekend this summer.

April 2004 As mentioned in another review, this site makes an ideal stopping point before venturing further North. We arrived just after six and even although the reception should have been closed, I was ushered in and given a very friendly welcome. £10 for two adults and a car. Remember to keep your receipt (not hard to find as its A4 printed!) it will give you free entry to the castle grounds and £2 off per person for entry into Blair castle itself.
The toilets were absolutely spotless and not only warm but the heat hits you as soon as you walk in. Showers are also included in the price of your pitch.
We were told by another camper that this is the driest place in Scotland (no it was late April we visited not the first). It is a lovely site with undercover camp kitchen for tent users complete with a sink for washing up (cold water only) and picnic benches around.
The only things that bothered us were the sounds of the A9 and the railway track some quarter of a mile away which seemed to carry up the valley. Birdsong is normally a joy when camping but there are also a large number of crows nesting in the trees nearby who woke us up at four thirty!

Easter 2003 A fantastic site. We camped there for 2 nights at Easter and we shall be returning. Good facilities, friendly and helpful staff, spacious and the site was immaculate. The plus for me was that it had an excellent play area for the kids with plenty of space for them to play football etc. I fully recommend Blair Castle for families - you will have a great time!

easter 2003 We stopped at blair castle for 2 nights over easter and found it to be an excellent place to stay. It cost us £9 a night for 2 adults and a campervan (price includes free admission to blair castle and grounds). The showers/toilets were 1st class and the pitches were well set out around a very large playing field with swings etc and a putting green.
There is a shop on site with a few essentials in it but your best bet is to cross over the road and go to the village store for provisions. There is also a chippy/pizza place in the village, bicycle hire, a post office, cash machine and a pub. What more could you ask for????
We used the site as a stop off because it was half way between our house and the northen highlands but would consider staying there longer in future.
i would recommend this site to anyone

Several! We go here a lot - a huge and well designed site - loads of play space and things to do locally, good views of hills roundabout. Only disappointment is poor quality rolls from the campshop!
