Stayed here for two nights with my 2 small children. The first night we were pitched close to the main building and it was incredibly noisy but had to move the second night which was a bit of a pain but it was much quieter in 'the body o the kirk' so it was worth it.
Showers and toilets were nice and clean and warm and I really enjoyed my stay (my second time there)
We didn't use the EHU but it was there, they also open the rally field at the weekend to cater for people who turn up on spec. Staff were lovely and friendly and the playpark in the middle of the site meant that I could watch my son play while I was cooking etc.

We had originally intended to stay in Blair for three or four days but moved after one night.
The location, with mountains all around, is superb and the site is very well ordered and well laid out but outside that it disappoints greatly.
The toilet block we were using (there are 5 on-site) was revolting and, despite the fact that the wardens had been informed of the state of the block, no effort was made to clean it up and with the high charges they are asking for staying there, it's not unreasonable to expect the service to be better.
Which is a shame: Blair is a charming little town in the heart of Perthshire and seems to cover all the basics well. The site appears to cater for children quite well and was generally neat and tidy. The pitches are very specific and rigidly enforced - so you don't suddenly find another tent's ropes tangling in yours!
What a shame.

Just about to leave this site, beautiful area excellent reception area but after that I simply hate it!
Toilets are disgusting we complained that they hadn't been cleaned at 1pm and at 8. 30 pm they still haven't !
It's very noisy no wardens appear to check around at night for noise problems we where kept awake until 2am with music playing from a tent.
So disappointed had such high hopes for this site as there is so much to do locally they really could do with investing in the camping areas instead of a very fancy reception area.
Should also add that the pitches are just to cramped and there is no privacy whatsoever !

This was our children's first ever camping experience. And they loved it! Our girls are aged 3 and 9 and loved the site.
We were extremely lucky with the weather, the toilet / shower facilities were superb, and the children's playground and surrounding grassy area a treat for kids.
We were never short of activities in the surrounding area.
Only downside was the International Scout event in the neighbouring field ! A little noisy but just bad timing on our part not a fault of the site.
On site shop was also well stocked.Looking forward to our next stay.

This is another site which could be a whole load better but is saved only by its fabulous location.
On arrival you are greeted by an impressive & massive reception area which also houses a reasonable shop, games room and internet access area (no wifi on site). If only they had used some of the vast amount they must have spent on the reception area to improve the rest of the site.
The 'all important' toilet/washing facilities are the biggest let-down on this site. Depending on which block you choose from the 5 (I think) available depends on the condition. One block we used was poor. Toilets didn't flush, terrible water pressure and showers that supplied water in 10 second bursts, I mean dribbles, which became unbearably hot. I would suggest to new visitors to use the block within the static area as they were much better.
We, initially, had a family pitch which was in a reasonable area with a path behind leading to the River Tilt where there are superb walks and cycle rides. If you are a dog owner, then the family pitches are handiest for walking on the River paths.
We later moved to a fully serviced pitch which, unfortunately, was not level. The area we had moved to was also a little busier and further along the road it seemed to congested.
Another saving grace for this site is the massive open area right in the centre where there is a kids playpark. The area also has small football goalposts, but there is still enough room for several other additional games of football or rounders.
Perthshire is a favourite area of ours for its outstanding scenery and there are loads of beautiful places to visit nearby.
Pitlochry is the nearest large town where you will find a Co-op for groceries but also plenty other shops serving local delicacies.
Dunkeld is another worthy visit.
Near to Blair Castle is a reasonable chip shop, couple of small 'corner' shops and couple of hotels. Nearest is the Atholl Arms (next to railway station) which has a nice beer garden, but beware of its prices - £4 for a Magners! I don't buy it often but thought that was expensive.
In conclusion, I will visit this site again because it offers a base to explore the fantastic Perthshire beauty but it desperately needs to think about its facilities. Out of the 6 sites I have recently visited I would put this in at number 3 or 4, behind The Gart and Yellowcraig and, maybe, Scoutscroft. It does, however, seem better than nearby River Tilt Caravan Park, which appeared very cramped.
As a postscript, I just learned that The Gart is to close. Great loss to caravanning.

We only stayed here for one night and didn't make use of the facilities accept the toilets which were nice and clean so I cannot really comment on them. The site itself is large and clean. We did not get to choose our own pitch. Perfect for letting the kids run free at the park. If you get given the right pitch you can see the park perfectly but are not too close where you will have to listen to kids screaming all day.
A good site, not for us as we prefer semi wild camping with campfires etc but great for a family holiday. Sonia

Visited here for the first time this year and had a great time. Camp site is huge with excellent facilities and the staff were very friendly. Loads of clean toilet blocks (3 with Toddler Wash Rooms), Shop on site and a huge play park. There is even a hair salon.
We had a large fully serviced pitch and the pitch was a level hard standing pitch but the ground was not so hard as to give problems putting the awning up.
Blair Atholl it's self is a lovely picture post card type of quaint village but there is a good pub, a couple of shops, a Post Office and a garage and petrol station in the village.
Blair atholl is not far from Pitlochry where there is a kids amusement park which keeps them busy for an afternoon. A little further down the road is Perth and it is recommended to go to Noah's Ark if you have kids, it's great.

Just back from a weekend of camping at blair castle caravan park. This is a lovely site with really nice views and some great walks. This has been our 4th time this year at blair atholl and I am new to camping but would recommend this site to anyone.
Plenty of space to put up tent and to park your car beside it. On site shop which is reasonably priced depending on what you are buying. Staff all very friendly.
Plenty of toilet blocks situated around the campsite and they are kept very clean and they are warm which is a bonus. There is a great big area for children to play games football etc and a playpark for young kids.
No pub on site but just a 5 min walk and there is a pub called the roundhouse which has reasonable priced drink. Also beside museum there is a good chip shop but when it is busy they are quite slow but all in all a good place for food sit in or takeaway. Have not been up to blair castle yet but have heard it is good.
There is an internet gallery on site and a hair and beauty shop so all in all a really good site and cant wait to go back again

Arrived on the friday to a friendly receptionist who asked all relevant questions then gave us a map to show were our family pitch with hook up was. While driving to our pitch we couldn't believe how big the site was, the play grass area is a massive open area the size of two-and-a-half footie pitches in my opinion.
The pitch we had backed onto the river tilt and was a fair size. There is also a kids play area next to the grass area with great swings and chutes and they are well looked after. The toilets/shower blocks were very clean as they were cleaned frequently.
We took a walk through the town and found it to be very 'oldie worldie', the locals were very friendly while passing them in the street. There is a wee chippie just off the main street that do great suppers, the guy Jimmy who was set to retire after this weekend gave us a good laugh while we were waiting on our suppers as he was having banter with Davie who is going to be the new owner.
Unfortunately we had rubbish weather over the weekend which kind of ruined it but that was of no fault of the site which is of excellent standard and we have booked to go back in july but hopefully we will get better 'Scottish weather

We had mixed feelings about this site. On the plus side were the facilities including shop and internet room. The site is large and quite spread out. Our pitch was classed as hard standing but we only had some 'hard core' for half the length of our motorhome and the pitch was very uneven.
There wasn't much privacy between units. To be fair there was super pitches which were better spaced and fully serviced but we were never offered the choice of one when we booked.
Overall, this is a commercially run site and being a bank holiday meant the staff were very busy and the site was nearly full. Even after 23.00 the site was noisy there was no warden in evidence to monitor behaviour.
