After a very long journey on the motorway we finally arrived to a very warm welcome from Julian, he was very helpful and gave us a leaflet that told us everything about the site and surrounding area.
There was plenty of water taps, and plenty of space to relax in. The only downfalls were no rubbish disposal, and after travelling 3 hrs home the rubbish left a smell in the van. There was a rally in the next field and they made a lot of noise till the early hours, but in fairness when I told Julian he was very apologetic, (not that it was his fault), but these were the only downfall and we will most certainly return to the site again in the future.

My husband and son visited the site about 2 weeks ago, only there 2nd attempt at camping, so only stayed the one night.
They assured me the site was lovely, toilet block only, but what more do you need for one night.
Booking the pitch via email was great, Julian and Sandra were helpful, and very prompt at replying, which certainly was where other sites fell short!
The area was very picturesque, with enough to do for a couple of days.
George and Jeremy will definitely return next year, and you never know I might get invited as well!

Petruth Paddocks is in a very nice location on the outskirts of Cheddar, with shops and pubs all in walking distance. Very friendly owner letting you pitch your tent where you like, bringing you fire wood if required for a small fee. Plenty of open space for the kids to play, massive car boot on Sundays just a few fields away which my wife enjoyed. My only gripe was the toilets which are a mobile unit and were awful. I would visit site again but if toilets are updated.

We found the location excellent as plenty to do and see in this area, also Burnham is only a stone's throw away for a day trip.
The site itself was excellent with a large rally field so plenty of room for the kids to play games. A number of water points were located around the field and a clearly marked elsan point could be easily accessed. On arrival we were given a well thought out informative leaflet regarding the site and surrounding area which answered all our questions.
The owner Julian who was very friendly, visited the rally field daily to check we were all ok and to answer any queries. He also arranged a trailer ride for the children and also brought over some horses for the children to see.
The only downside was that the cut grass was not picked up and there were no refuse collection points. But even so, we will be definitely be visiting the site again.

This site was quite exposed but flat and well drained. Within easy walking distance of Cheddar itself, with amazing views of the hills and surrounding countryside.
Although it is within close distance of the main road and local kart track it is quite peaceful.
There are several water taps around the edge of the field and an Elsan point.
The owner was always about checking that things were ok and ready to answer any questions.
My only concern would be the minimal signage to the site.

This was a lovely site with wonderful surrounding views. Access to the site was explained well and the field was fairly level and not too muddy considering the weather. There are water taps and a Elsen point. There are shops, a supermarket, pubs and takeaways all within walking distance. Julian the owner was very friendly and went out of his way to see that everyone was happy. He arranged a brewery tour, chocolate factory tour and gave us loads of info about activities etc in a very informative booklet he has produced. I think the main downside which we didn't know about were no rubbish facilties. There are recyling bins in Cheddar but nowhere for your general rubbish but now knowing this we would still like to go back there and so would several friends we were with.
