Lovely site, visited on a sunny weekend and only a quarter full. Well located for visiting cheddar and Somerset, gorge is 35 min walk on busy road.

Swimming pool small but adequate if quiet with nice surroundings, shopping stocked with essentials and bar area serve food and small arcade for kids.

Pitches have water points so bring your hoses, a little tight for size difficult to get car on as well.

Skate park, bmx track and adventure playground all excellent if you can get a value for money break book it

 Friendly place but disappointing.

Lots of nice pitches separated by hedging gives a good impression.

The toilet blocks are old and dated. Not enough sinks or toilets for the amount of pitches. The club/bar is very dated.

Lots of kids running about without parents, seems none of the rules that make a site nice for everyone are taken notice off. We didn't see any wardens checking on pitches or walking around site, there was football played on the pitches, bikes up and down one way roads.

So far we have the car and caravan hit by footballs and a puncture off the rubbish in the road.

Shame could be a great place because of the nice location and area.

Playground is brilliant for the kids but again no one keeping check.

Maybe be ok in quieter times but not Easter week.

Needs better staffing to cope with amount of people.

On arrival staff were very welcoming, & courteous.

Toilets & shower blocks very clean. Granddaughter had a ball, at the adventure park, on site entertainment, was ok, shops could have stayed open a bit later, but we managed.

The site was bigger than we expected. Did not do a lot of site seeing, but where ever we went it was nearby, & quite pleasant.

Will definitely return there next year. Did not get using swimming pool, but it looked very inviting, know better next time.

The cleaning areas were very few for the size of the site but, we were ok because there was plenty of spaces.

Overall a very pleasant holiday.

Didn't know what to expect as this was our first visit to Broadway House. The site is laid out beautifully with most pitches being screened on three sides with hedges. Water and Electricity were supplied on every other pitch. The showers were clean and good but a little small. The only downside being that you had to keep pressing the button to get a decent shower.

Washing up facilities were ok but they could be enclosed.

Our pitch, although a good size, was very muddy which wasn't helped by the rain and wind and had we known there wasn't going to be anyone close to us we would have asked to be moved.

Didn't use the bar but went to play pool only to find there were no cues!

There was quite a bit of road noise which went on until 2am.

If the weather had been better and our pitch a little dryer and less muddy then we would have enjoyed our stay a lot more. It is a lovely site and could be even better with a few improvements.

The shop had quite limited opening hours and tended to be open during the day when campers were out rather than in the morning and evening (opening times were 9am to 6pm). It might have been better to open earlier from 8am until say 11am and then reopen again around 3pm until around say 8pm. The reception didn't have opening times displayed and although the girls there were helpful it was quite cramped.

Cheddar and the surrounding area is beautiful and well worth a visit. Especially Clarks Village in Street, Glastonbury and Wells. Cheddar village is great but the Gorge itself does have a problem with parking - its very expensive!

A really nice campsite, nice private pitches separated by hedges, just a mile from cheddar town. Easy access to Cheddar reservoir, a nice walk or cycle.

Kids loved the skate park and the bmx track, the adventure playground is also very well equipped. Being bank holiday weekend the park was at full capacity.

The swimming pool was nice, lovely and clean area all around it, heated also, although kids didn't stay in long as it was quite windy so they got cold quite quickly.

Decent little shop on site, with all the usuals. Nice bar area serving meals, cannot comment as we didn't eat here.

Toilets nice and clean, although a little dated, the family bathrooms very helpful when you have little ones to shower and change.

Kids took part in some activities, although I thought pricey, £5 per child, they did the survival course, which involved building a campfire and dens which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Maybe a little too hectic than what we are used too, however as previously mentioned it was bank holiday weekend, we stayed on until the Tuesday by then the park had almost emptied and appeared to have a completely different atmosphere.

Would return on maybe a less busy weekend, the kids gave it a massive thumbs up and would go back tomorrow.

Staff on site very helpful, particularly one of the gentlemen who helped us out following an accident on the bmx track, he was extremely professional, helpful and friendly and even came to check how everyone was the following day. For which we were extremely grateful.

Just back from a long weekend at the site. Arrived in torrential rain and was met at gate by a employee and shown on map our field and told to pitch anywhere. We opted for a basic pitch without EHU in a field called Piddle Patch I think.

This field was on a slope and there were no flat pitches we could find so made the best of a pitch on one side under a tree line. This turned out to be a bad decision as there is a very busy road 10m away from our pitch.

The site is very large and was fully booked for the weekend. He premium EHU pitches are all in individual hedge lined pitches but some were very small and unable to take a tent/caravan and car so cars were all over the place.

There are 2 toilet/shower blocks and although I always found a free shower the site could do with another block as the distance is quite a way from the basic fields. We used the family rooms which have a toilet and shower in individual rooms so are ideal for the purpose. There are numerous washing up points and water taps everywhere including the basic fields.

The site has an outdoor swimming pool but we did not use this for reasons to be explained later. There are playgrounds, crazy golf and a BMX track. My kids loved the track but unfortunately my 8 year old daughter fell off and broke her arm! (tip, don't bother with Weston A&E go straight to Bristol Childrens Hospital. )

Also on the site is a shop, bar, games room and organised kids activities. Again, we didn't really use the entertainment facilities but the shop was OK if not a bit badly stocked. We didn't really have much contact with the staff except to ask to borrow some pillows to help rest my daughters arm which they happily did.

Overall I like the site but it was very noisy with many groups still singing etc at midnight. I would not recommend the basic field due to the road noise but would opt for a premium pitch next time. Both my kids want to return to use the BMX track again but think we might go somewhere else next time.

Just got back after spending a week on this camp, the camp is very large and yet had loads of empty space, s (you could just turn up and pay), the toilets are fine, a little dated but they work just fine and there was always hot water. On a downside, because of the size of the camp it needed to be a lot more shower blocks and washing up area, s (this was not a problem because of the amount of empty space, s)but would have been if more fuller.

The kids loved this site for the stuff that they had to do, the BMX track went down well, even if they did get hurt on it the second day there.

As always the other campers was nice and friendly, we went out one day and while away it started raining and other campers had seen that we was out and put our chairs away for us (we had left them out). They had a shop on site which was not bad but the size of it they could a big money maker if stocked better.

The staff on site was very helpful and friendly, part of our fridge broke one day and the staff tried to repair it (it would not be repaired but a least they tried).

This is a great site and if we are ever in the area again we would camp there again.

We visited the park after a long over night drive from Scotland.

The staff were very helpful and let us in early, but this was also when we found the main problem on the site, namely road geometries which were quite tight. Unfortunately we caught a bollard and endured minor damage to the caravan. It is something that visitors have to be careful with.

The site is large, but is divided by several paddocks, and essentially has the feel of a French site, with lots of landscaping and hedges around each pitch. During the week the site was pretty empty but at the weekend it was probably near enough full.

The toilets etc were clean.

The biggest thing about the site though is its excellent facilities for kids. The adventure playground is huge and very natural in amongst the trees. The pool is a little sun trap and we spent several hours there. But the really unusual facility is the camps world championship bmx course. It really is quite something, but only our oldest was strong enough and perhaps brave enough to get round it. There are also 5 aside football courts, basketball, and a skateboard area.

Offsite we visited Cheddar, Glastonbury, Wells, the Fleet Air Arm and Bristol (the river taxis are great).

So once we got over our bump we had a great time.

Turned up on spec and got a brilliant spot for £58 for two nights. The receptionist was extremely overworked but very friendly and efficient. Sadly on return journey called them in advance and got quoted £70 which was a little out of our budget.

Pitch was superb, in a little square bordered by hedges with electric and box within easy reach. The site is vast with a good dog walk to the rear if you don't mind a climb.

Washing up facilities were good although I never got truly hot water.

Showers were clean and plentiful although you do have to keep pressing the button to keep it going. The water was hot enough for me.

Did not go in the pool or the bar but did get take away pizza's which really weren't too good. A lack of cheese and toppings!

We only booked the site 4 hours before we arrived. What a great find, the site is near to Cheddar and is very well maintained. We booked onto an hardstanding pitch due to the rain and it was a good size and level.

The toilets and showers are a bit dated but were clean, the site was quite quiet for the first week of the school holidays but that suited me and the family.

There is a shop which was well stocked, an oit door swimming pool which looked nice, there was a bar which served food, the food was good, especially the homemade pizza.

They have an entertainment team that work in high season who had just started that day, they were amazing with the kids doing circus acts etc. There is some family entertainment on in the evening, but not over the top.

Very good site and would use again.
