Beautiful site, what can I say, it's perfect.
Great location, well kept, great pitches and they obviously care for the environment.
Will definitely be back.

A really nice site
Beautiful location
Lovely friendly reception
The facilities are really good, very clean & modern
The site is in a superb location, overlooking a section of the Solway down a small country lane
Very quiet, great beaches close by.
There is a children's play area, should you require it?
Really good big pitches, bbq's allowed.
If you want to explore this part of Scotland? it is the ideal location

Our first visit here and After 30 years of touring, this is without doubt our favourite site in the UK.
Views across the Solway Firth are astonishing.
Pitches are simply huge.
Owners were so friendly and helpful.
Not the easiest site to reach but more than worth the effort.
Made use of the fire pit and picnic bench.
Lost count of the number of times we said, ‘Just look at that view!’

Solway View is in a lovely location overlooking, surprisingly, the Solway.
The site was quiet when I visited so, while I was allocated a pitch, I was free to choose another if I wished. The pitches are spacious and include a picnic bench and firepit. Reception on arrival was good and the booking process was straightforward.
There are two loo blocks. Showers were fine, there's no temperature control though. Facilities were clean.
Of particular use for tenters if the weather is grim is a wooden cabin which has stove/sink/tables/chairs as well as local information.
It's a good site if you like walking, there's a path straight from the site onto the core path that runs along the coast and around to Brighouse Bay. Places like Kirkcudbright aren't far away, there are plenty of other towns and villages within easy driving distance.
All in all a nice site to escape to and one I shall return to.

Beautiful site with lovely wildlife areas to walk round - farmer was really friendly and really enthusiastic about eco plans.
Used bikes to get into Kirkcudbright and to nearby pub - very quiet roads and easy cycling.
Quiet site - limited loos and showers but despite site being quite busy - never had to queue and always clean.

Beautiful setting in a quiet area with lovely walks from the site. Facilities were very clean and COVID aware.
Lots to explore in the unspoilt and peaceful surrounding area. Great fish and chips in Kirkcudbright!
The only negative for us was being allocated a pitch in too close proximity to the toilet block.
On a rainy Saturday evening people were in and out until 12pm, with bright lights coming on automatically each time they went in and an extremely noisy hand drier used every time.
There are lots of more secluded pitches with beautiful views further away from the toilet block.

Great location, facilities and wonderful views - we will def go again (no midges either!)
You do need transport to get to the local towns for food and drink.
Only negatives were the shower block doors being left open - so every time the hand driers were used we heard the noise (we were pitch 8)
The doors on a shower in both ladies and gents were “dodgy” - hard to close and hanging off
We didn’t officially get to meet the owners/wardens - everything was done via email and did feel a little impersonal but we did see him occasionally on the park.
We didn’t have kids with us but it’s perfect for kids - play area and lots of space
All in all a fab place and well priced
