This is our second visit here, and absolutely love it! Site is in a rural location but close enough to the local town.
Facilities on site are perfect and immaculate. There is ample space between tents with enough space to ensure privacy. A lovely touch are the fire pits, which a fab at night time. Park style benches are also provided to each unit.
All units are well spaced, and there is no overcrowding at all on this site.
Kids love the park and swinging from the tree rope.
Facilities immaculate to say the least. Shower and laundry block perfect for needs. Only gripe is lack of loo roll in ladies!
However we shall be back, as this is a little gem of a site and perfect for those with families.

If only all sites were as good as this, the view over the Solway is really something with the fishing boats and yachts going in and out. The facilities are top notch and always spotless, the pitches are roomy with a barbecue on each pitch even on the tent pitches which are well separated there is also a cook house with seating and cooking facilities plus pots and pans there is a play area for the kids and a private beach I think they have thought of everything on this site.
There is plenty to do and see in the surrounding area with a good fish and chip shop two chinese takeaways plus two sandwich bars.
This is our second time here and we will Certainly be back.

Just spent 10 days on this wonderful site. On arrival we were shown to our pitch which was huge! All the pitches were very spacious, with tents in 2 areas. We were in the area next to the children's playground, which my 3 loved. The whole site was clean and well maintained; the grass was kept short, the toilets and showers were clean and modern. My eldest daughter wasn't too pleased with the push button showers which she found a bit annoying.
There were 2 dish washing areas, with tables for dining, and one had a freezer which came in handy for our ice blocks, given the wonderful hot weather we had. The site was popular with families, with the children able to run about and play safely, and though busy, it was always quiet after 11 pm.
We enjoyed the walk down through the fields to the sea, and even managed to swim although the water was a little chilly!
The area is full of things to do; we were able to keep our 3 children, aged 11, 9 and 5, occupied every day. There are beautiful beaches, a great chocolate factory, farm parks and a nice cream factory, plus great walks and bike rides in the Galloway forest park. We have one child who needs a gluten free diet and we were able to find plenty of places to eat that catered for her.
All in all, a great holiday at a beautiful welcoming site in a brilliant area of the country.

The setting of this site is truly beautiful. It has views of the tidal inlet, without being overly exposed. The drive down to it is also lovely and the narrow last lap was trouble free with our small caravan.
I liked the fact that various types of campers were catered for. I had a peep in the cookhouse and was amazed at thoughtfulness that had gone into the provision of cooking and pot washing gear. Similarly the washroom and shower has all you need and was well cared for. It was not under pressure when there was an influx on Brownies at the weekend. It was good to see a dedicated dog walk where Tilly could be let off her lead. The grass was rather long so wellies are needed. Brighouse Bay was the best of the three local beaches but was a bit far to walk. We had a lovely 6 nights and the only sad part was listening to the heart - wrenching bleating of one particular lamb when its mother had been taken away for shearing. The sheep did safely graze the next day however when lambs and dams were reunited. My map shows a military area across the water. As our dog is terrified of gun fire I was a little worried But we heard none.
Kirkcudbright is a delightful little town with fishing boats a castle and the glorious garden of Broughton House. This is also an art gallery, there are quite a few in the town. All in all a lovely site in a glorious part of Scotland

Just spent an idyllic few days here and can't praise the site or the owners enough! Its the campsite of my dreams, large pitches, fire pits, spotless shower and bathroom facilities and a cook and wash up area with all the bits and bobs you may have forgotten. The views are to die for and plenty of them all around this area. We will most certainly be going back again and again.

This was our second visit to this site and won't be our last. The owners are friendly and keep the facilities clean. Spacious pitches with great views. Site is child friendly with a good play area. We had car trouble and the owners helped us find a good garage. Loads of beautiful beaches near the site.

A stunning site with superb facilities, the touring site offers spacious hard standing pitches each with its own picnic bench and fire pit. Great views from all of the pitches. It was very quiet when we visited for three nights, only a couple of motor homes and one caravan, wished we could have stayed longer, we will be back!
The area is an unspoilt, beautiful part of Scotland with lots of places to visit, some excellent walking to be done.
The owners are so friendly and helpful and are doing an excellent job of developing the site sympathetically.
Will be nominating for best CL !

Site owners were very friendly and helpful on arrival, talked us through the site and then showed us to the camping area. Given that we were the people staying there in a tent that night we had a choice of the whole site and were suggested to pitch up towards the top end of the site where it's out of the wind but still with a view of the sea.
The facilities on site are very good. The toilets were clean and had two showers in the gents (and presumably the same for the womens). As well as that there's an electrical charging point for electric cars (first campsite I've seen with one!) and a cooking/eating room complete with gas rings and a washing up sink.

Stayed here for a couple of nights with 2 kids, toddler and small dog.
Childrens play area was close to EHU area and was perfect to keep and eye on but give them freedom. Location was really nice and near to the coast, lovely beach nearby but the nearest one to walk to is quite rocky.
Campfires allowed and they sell dried wood to burn in old wheel rims (very rustic but effective)Owners were extremely helpful, perfect.
Wind was extraordinarily strong on one evening. Glad we were in our outwell and not in our previous tent. Not sure it would have made the night and in terms of shopping you need to stock up a bit as the local shops are a bit of a trek. But a really nice site. Recommended.

This was the 2nd visit to this beautiful site and we were not disappointed once again. Right from the off we were welcomed with open arms and shown to our pitch. Once the tent was up it was time to check out the facilities to see if there was any change. The toilet block was as clean as we remembered, and the playground for the kids was well maintained. The new washing facilities was obviously a job in progress and I can't wait to go back to see them finished.
The views from the tent in the morning were absolutely stunning and was a reminder why we returned to this exquisite site. The surrounding area has more than enough for anyone to keep themselves busy, whatever you decide to do.
I personally can't wait to return next season to once again spend some quality and relaxing time with my family.
