I stayed at Diglea for one night on a backpacking trip, having diverted off the Peddars Way where accommodation is in very short supply. I called ahead and spoke to a friendly and helpful receptionist, who left details of my pitch on the office door for me as I was going to arrive after they closed.
Strictly speaking I think the pitch I was given is actually the barbecue area, but it wasn't a problem as there was plenty of space and nobody cooking at the time! I got a visit from some very friendly ducks, who took an interest in my dinner.
I found the toilets and shower in good working order and clean, and there was a children's playground nearby. There is also the 'Beaver's Retreat' bar on site which appears to offer regular entertainment.
The site is close to the sea and the local nature reserve for walks, and there are one or two shops nearby on the beach road.

Family group with one caravan, one trailer tent and two tents - 8 adults and 8 children
Stayed for the first weekend in July - last minute decision inspired by hot weather. The owners were extremely helpful in finding pitches close together, and had the perfect combination of efficiency without officiousness - all very relaxed.
The pitches were good and the ground drained well - as we found on Saturday night when there was a torrential downpour and dramatic thunderstorm.
The facilities in the rally field were fine and well kept.
The playground was very popular. I liked the slide in the playground being on a slope rather than steps, so safer for small children; and the pole to slide down made the weekend for our 'Fireman Sam' fanatic.
We had planned to go to Hunstanton, but the traffic was so heavy that we settled for the beach at the end of the road, which was fine (we had checked tide times first).
The pub seemed very good. I would only take issue with the beer being called 'Granny wouldn't like it'. This granny certainly did!
All in all, an enjoyable weekend, near enough to home for us to plan another - if we get any more summer weather.

We stayed at this site for the Bank Holiday weekend, us in a caravan and friends in a tent. The managers were very friendly and helpful from the time of booking on the phone. They seemed very laid back, when we arrived on the Saturday afternoon he just asked us to pitch up and pay / check in the following morning.
We stayed in the rally field as didn't need hook up and wanted to be side by side with our friends in the tent. The facilities here were plentiful with several showers (didn't use them), toilets, washing up, toilet emptying, fresh water very centrally located. The wheelie bins were quite full though, but very efficiently hidden behind a wooden screen.
There was a nice-looking playground for children. We drove to the beach as very young children with us and didn't want to walk alongside the road. Car park by the beach, but have to pay a flat rate. Stony beach, you need to check when the tide is in, otherwise you won't see the sea.
As a whole, liked the site very much, and will be going back at some point in the summer. Very reasonably priced as well. Departure times on Monday (BH) were very flexible, as long as there is no one else coming who has booked your pitch.

This is quite a large site with various fields with statics, tourers and tents. We ended up in the Rally Field for 4 nights.
The Rally field seemed to have the biggest pitches. And these weren't king sized!
Considering this is a busy site, you would expect a better cleaning regime in the toilets.Cleaning was poor and sporadic and this needs to be improved.
The showers are ridiculous. Whilst the water is hot and of a decent pressure, you have a mere ten seconds to wash yourself before the timer button needs to be pressed again. Since I have a largish rear and a fair sized stomach, I became adept at holding parts of my body on the button whilst showering, which doesn't give you the best showering position or the cleanest wash!
The beach is a short distance away.Swim in the sea when the tide is in.Otherwise you wont find it when the tide is out and you will have lovely mud filled toenails for the rest of the holiday!
Visit Sandies bar down the road for some fantastic good grub!
Sandringham forest is must to visit and I wish I had had more time to visit longer.
Overall - the site owners should put some money back into maintenance and cleaning

Very nice backwater-site with a lovely friendly, laid-back atmosphere. Not at all rowdy. The on-site facilities are meagre, but there is so much very close-by that this doesn't matter.
The beach is only 5 minutes walk away and fish & chips/ amusements/ bacon sandwiches/ shop/ good bar with pub food only 2 minutes away.
The local facilities were really good and everyone had a great time.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This was a two night stay at the height of the holiday season. One tent (2 adults and two toddlers) and a camper van (two adults). Rang up a few days before and told there was no need to book, we could just turn up. Given that it was a sunny weekend and that were still a room for a few more on Saturday night, it seems that there would always be space here.
We stayed in the rally field. All touring area pitches seemed to be quite uneven. Also I wouldn't say it was crystal clear the division of the pitches. No big nightmare just nothing to write home about. Childrens play area decent.
There is no attempt at recycling.
We were surprised how quiet it was in the evening considering it was a busy weekend. Although the rally field is a long way from the bar and children's play area. Never ventured in the bar. Didn't look particularly enticing to me. There were a lot of families on the site but a smattering of couples and groups also.
The beach is I would say about a mile's walk. Mixture of sand and stone. When the tide goes out here, it really does go out! Pleasant enough but there are nicer beaches further up the coast, Brancaster for example.
We didn't find that the toilets were kept clean. As I've noted it was a busy weekend nevertheless I thought a lot more could be done. They seemed in the same state Sunday morning as they were the night before. I never saw more than one or two people queueing though.
The chip shop, amusements and excellent kite shop are about halfway to the beach. I believe most weekends there are 3/4 market stalls just a couple of hundred yards in the beach direction. They were quite good.
In summary: This site is OK and I wouldn't put anyone of going there. But in comparison to say the Heathland in Suffolk which we went in June it is no more than average. But at least you know it won't be booked up!

We have just spent 2 nights at diglea and we found the site itself very attractive, and pleasant, in fantastic surroundings. The beach nearly on your doorstep is a bonus too.
We had a super pitch(couldn't of asked for it to of been any better placed). The toilet facilities were very good, always stocked well with paper etc, and cleaned regularly.
We had a very enjoyable stay and would go back there again.
The staff didn't seem too enthusiastic or friendly though.

We visited this site with friends, partly because it was the only one in the area that had space.
On arrival we greeted in a friendly manner and were given a map showing the area we could pitch in. The grass was kept trimmed and the site was flat, as one might expect in Norfolk! There are at least 2 toilet blocks, although I think there is at least 1 other I didn't encounter. They were kept in good order, clean and, the one in the camping area was quite modern although the water could have been hotter, showers were free. The children's playground seemed OK and well used and the grounds in general were in good order.
We don't do clubs but the Beaver's Retreat seemed OK and provided entertainment in the evening, the staff were very friendly when we went in to exchange our freezer blocks.
There is an arrangement with the neighbouring site to allow Diglea residents to use their facilities also.
There is plenty to do visit in the area. The closest town is Hunstanton (Hunston to the locals) with a decent supermarket and general shops in town. The beach there is pretty good and is worth going to see the multicoloured, and unstable, cliffs. Kings Lynn, 12 miles away, is a pleasant town with a good TI. Sandringham is under 5 miles away and the park is free to roam, access to the gardens, museum and house is charged for. Cromer is a bit down the coast and well worth a look although we were plagued by ladybirds with attitude when we went
If you are a twitcher then you will enjoy the Wash shore that is accessed a little way along the road from the campsite, if you are not then it is still a great place to go.
Overall I found the site clean and well maintained, the staff were good humoured and helpful, noise such as it was died down in the evenings. The area is very nice with plenty of features for a wide range of interests. The only downside was the *!@# pigeon that took up residence near us and started calling to its mates at dawn every day.
I would definitely use this campsite again.

Stayed 2 nights (Sat and Sun) on this site. Had to pitch close to the play area as the camping field was being closed on the Sun. Lots of people came Sat and left on Sun.
Surprised to see people packing up as late as 9pm each night. This restricted pitch choice for new arrivals on both days. Toilets clean and plentiful. Nice area and beach within walking distance.
A little noisy on the Sat. After the club had closed

When we arrived we we're greeted by the owner with a polite 'hello' and had the same pleasantries when we filled out the booking form in the office, from the lady on reception.
We we're given good directions to where the tent pitches were and had a good choice of spots.
The facilities were in excellent condition and really clean. The showers were spotless and gave plenty of space to scrub up and worked very well.
Overall our stay (even though it was short) was really great and we will definitely be returning in the very near future!
