Good campsite, quiet and clean, decent facilities,
Lovely stream running through it you can camp next to.
Great location for parking, the train, walks, cafes, and pubs.

Great campsite. All aspects were Covid safe yet it didn't impact washing up, showering etc.
Campsite was immaculately maintained and tents were well spaced out and to boost the weather was perfect.
Very friendly owners Mark and Sam kept us updated with events and activities with was hugely appreciated.
Wishing them both a great final season xxx

Another great stay at Fieldhead Campsite!
Great location and facilities. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
I would highly recommend this site to families, its child friendly and quiet.
We stay at a number of sites around the county and when in the Peak District will always stay at Fieldhead Campsite.

Amazing site location and base, the views are stunning, train station near by and all walks easily accessible.
Facilities are great, everything you need - showers, toilets, washing up area and a laundry and freezer storage (although we didn’t use so can’t review that area but people were going in and out so must be useful) Take change with you as the showers cost 20p for 2 mins and hairdryer 50p.
Office open every day from 9am, the site is quiet as is the village. One general store, cafe and a pub. Again didn’t use the cafe or the pub but they were always busy. Used the general store for a small amount of washing up liquid (they decant into your containers) and a bottle of water £2:45.
The site owners are very welcoming and everything is nice and clean, grass cut, litter free, toilets cleaned daily, bins emptied daily. Showers hot at night but my husband had a shower early morning and it was freezing so not sure about that, you may need to ask the owners how it works to avoid the cold 😂
We are going back in Sept to walk part of the pennine way back home. Can’t wait 😉

Beautiful site and perfect location!
Had we known it was only 3. 5hours from London by train, we wouldn’t have driven for 5+ hours! Campsite 3 minute walk from station and 2 minute to nearest pub, Ramblers Rest.
Campsite run impeccably. Strict (but nicely enforced) rules which makes it a lovely site for all to appreciate. We loved the fact the showers were 20p for 2 mins. So much more environmentally friendly and keeps shower times short so no queuing.
Also no cars are allowed on the pitches which again makes it brilliant for children and very peaceful. Loads of walks all accessible from the site so no need to drive any where.
Cannot fault the site and glad we have found it. Had the most amazing weekend. Please please do not mention it to Cool Camping!

Lovely welcome, good flat ground, beautiful setting with best views in the valley over to Mam Tor round to Kinder.
Clean facilities, nice, quiet campsite, just the tonic after lockdown

Location could not be better, centre of Edale with parking if required.
Downside is the excessive amount of notices around the site and the cost / practically of the showers- coin box outside of the showers and 20p for 2 minutes on top of a fairly pricey camp fee for 1 person (£12 per night).

Despite it having 4+ 'fields' it is a small site, no complaints but if you are in the field near the carpark facing Mam Tor make sure you shift every single Holly leaf before you stick your tent up!
Hoping I can stay there again Dec/Jan.
