A lovely grass site situated in the rolling Shropshire hills giving some stunning views. As others mention two great pubs nearby both do food and have a few local real ales.
An hourly or so bus service stops at the Ragleth Inn serving trips to Ludlow or Church Stretton and beyond. Great site for walking, a public footpath runs right through the site.
The only negative is the rather basic toilet block although functional and clean.

Our second visit to this site, it left a good impression the first time. Facilities are clean but basic. Showers are proper showers where you can adjust the height, temperature and power of the water.
The pot wash area is outside and gives a lovely view of the hills and the owners pretty garden. Pitches are level and on one side are next to the small stream that you drive through to get to the site.
The site is good for wildlife, we watched owls, buzzards, bats, etc and even a red kite fly over. Good walks straight from the site and more wildlife as well as wild ponies on the hills.
The owners are happy to point you in the direction of the best walks. Two pubs very close by and a nice walk to Church Stretton. We booked for two nights but ended up staying for a third night.
Looking forward to going back again.

Lovely, peaceful campsite, in a great location, 2 good pubs in walking distance, friendly owners.
Facilities are a bit basic, but just adds to the charm, especially as when we were there a swift family were nesting in the eaves!
Will definitely be back.

We visited Small Batch Campsite at the beginning of June.
The site is located in a beautiful location at the foot of the Long Mynd, with stunning views; there is a footpath from the campsite through the valley (National Trust). There is lots of other walks close by.
The site has four showers two for women & two for men, should the site be full (28 pitches) you may have to queue, they are located at the end of the house, in a very rustic setting. The facilities would benefit from being updated with a complete refurbishment, but having said that, everything works fine with plenty of hot water.
There is two washing up sinks located in the open, again plenty of hot water, so you hope it does not rain.
The pitches are a reasonable size; the pitches on the steam side of the site are much bigger with plenty of space in the front of your pitch. All the pitches have electric hook up, but they only supply 10 amps, so you need to be careful you don’t trip the box out. There are plenty of water taps around the site & the grass was good condition, kept nice & short.
The site is on the edge of Little Stretton, just a three minute walk into the village that has two pubs serving food, we met some friends for lunch in the Ragleth Inn, and the food was good & reasonably priced.
Church Stretton, is about two miles away, a beautiful little town, with plenty of shops & cafes, also a nice size co-op shop for all you provisions.
Although the site is in the Shropshire hills, there are plenty of places of interest close by, with lovely villages & towns, with walks; also there is plenty of National Trust too complete you visit.
Well done Pam, who has run the site of 49 years that is what I call dedication.

This is a lovely location, at the entrance to a small valley. Access from the main road is via a couple of short but narrow roads and across a ford. The streets are short enough to allow a clear view before entering and the ford is a little bumpy but no problem if you go slow (with a caravan. )
The village has two dog friendly pubs. Both nice with a decent selection of ales, but both a little pricey for meals.
The actual campsite has footpaths leading up the valley hillside and across to Church Stretton. You can also access the whole of the Mynd walks from here. The valley pathway is lovely, changing from a clear path to a bit of scramble at the head of the valley leading to the Mynd highlands and is great walk.
Site owner and his wife are constantly available, checking the site, giving advice and being generally helpful. Didn't use the site facilities other than waste disposal, (which wasn't the easiest to use)but others said the facilities were OK.
Would return due to its fabulous location.

Superbly located site where from you can walk for miles.
Two pubs both in the village and an easy walk.
Owners are lovely people and very helpful. Facilities are old and a bit cold but very clean indeed so no worries at all.
Second time here.

Small friendly site. Owners helpful and gave me some milk when I ran out and asked where I could buy from. Two excellent walks up onto the Long Mynd directly from the campsite. Because of it being small, I think it is full a lot of the time, so it is best to book in advance. Toilets and showers are rustic, but clean and fine to use.
One annoying factor was dogs barking in the distance for much of the daytime, but nothing to do with the site.
I didn't use the pubs in the village, but they looked good.

A friendly welcome to a small site in a great location. The facilities are basic but clean.
Excellent access to walking the Long Mynd and then a couple of pubs within walking distance for food and drink to relax in the evening.
Some of the pitches are gently sloping.

Beautiful site located in a hollow on the Long Mynd. Helpful owners and made very welcome.
Two good pubs within walking distance for food and real ale. Easy access to wonderful walks over the Long Mynd.
Hot showers and toilet block. We will definitely visit again.

Just returned from a 3 night break at Small Batch Campsite. Lovely site set in a beautiful valley in the heart of Shropshire countryside. Pitches are large, fitted our 5m x 4m tent and Bongo campervan easily. Really good idea to provide large rubber mats for walking/driving over, as ground was still very wet due to the previous weeks rainfall.
Facilities are basic, but free and lots of hot water available and we never had to wait, even though there were quite a few pitches taken Fri/Sat. Remember to take a torch, its very dark around the site, when returning at night. We were a bit anxious about the large DOE group pitching up when we arrived, but apart from them playing football for an hour, they were not noisy at night and had all packed up and moved off by the time we'd had breakfast the next morning.
There is a fabulous pub (The Ragleth inn) within 5 minute walk, fabulous food, fabulous ales and lovely warm friendly welcome, you will need to book Fri/Sat nights as very popular. Thanks for letting us stay on your lovely site, we hope to come back again soon.
