We have come here for the past three years, and will definitely come back. The views are stunning, being so close to the beach is amazing, and the facilities are excellent - toilets always clean and there's lots of showers - including the rather chilly solar ones!
There's a lovely walk along the coast path to a pub - the pub's not great but the walk is worth it - and it's fine for a pint outside on a sunny day after your walk. On the campsite, animals walk around freely, and we had a visit from a horse and her foal who enjoyed poking their noses through our door to see what was going on.
We have always camped in a group of friends on this site, including children and dogs - there's plenty of room and it doesn't feel overcrowded.
The only downside is that if it's rainy, the access on and off the site is treacherous, so I wouldn't recommend to a nervous driver.

We stayed over the bank holiday weekend when any site's facilities are tested. It was busy, but not overcrowded. Maybe the terrible weather forecast put some people off. Indeed the weather WAS testing over Friday and Saturday with strong winds and heavy rain. Several campers lost gazebos and the Monty tent extension next to us was blown down. We were at the top of Middle Field where the views are stunning, but at the expense of being exposed to the wind.
The site is, however, lovely, with lots of great facilities, especially for families. It would be possible, if expensive, to do no cooking during your stay as there is a fantastic range of food available at the farmyard block. I agree with a previous reviewer that the pizzas are ridiculously small. We ended up feeling a bit cheated when we had to buy 2 each for our children! Would rather pay a bit more for a decent size one. There is also a well stocked shop, including a range of organic meat.
There is a great feeling of freedom on the site, with some of the animals wandering around freely and a haybarn for kids to play in. Lovely in the evening too with campfires all around the site (despite wind and rain). We loved the fact that you can walk down to the beach; it would be possible to stay for a whole holiday here without ever leaving the site!
Unlike most other reviewers, though, I did have a problem with the showers, which had little and then no hot water on the two times I tried. I must have just picked the wrong times. They do have signs up asking you to let them know if there is no hot water, however, and the staff were always helpful and friendly.
My main criticism of the facilities is the lack of washbasins (even cold water ones would do) at the toilet blocks. The one nearest us, which I think was typical, had 4 toilets with 2 sinks next to them, but every time I used the toilet both sinks were being used by people washing dishes.
Would definitely return there, and in fact have already given their leaflet to my neighbours who have two small children.

I took the family to Eweleeze farm in Dorset and it was truley the best holiday we have ever been on. There was me the wife our eldest son (13) first daughter (10) and a youngest daughter (6). The camp site was clean, safe and all the staff were really friendly. The animals all roam around freely and the kids could play in the barn in the hay. The camp fire was a great treat for the kids and every one seamed to keep the noise down after 10 o'clock. Finding a level site is difficult and if you choose to camp with sea views be prepared to walk, sleep eat and drink side ways on the slope. Away from the coast you can find some level ground which makes for a more comfortable experience. Value for money it is very good as long as you go during the week as the weekend prices are nearly double. I can understand why as it makes good business sense but next year we will only go for the mid week session.

Great, slightly mad site. Allows fires. Even busy there is room for all. Track down to the farm looks a bit steep but I had no problems with a very heavily laden S Max. We had virgin campers with us so they loved facilities such as toilets and shops. Shops clustered in one area and don't dominate. Nice to have fresh bread, top notch pizza and organic lamb burgers when you want them.
Normally we prefer wilderness camping but tried this as they still allowed fires. We were very charmed by the goats sheep pigs hens ducks etc that were roaming freely. My kids loved the hay bale climbing area. Weymouth is close but even post Olympics it seemed unloved.
Wind can be strong so take plenty of pegs, ropes and wind breaks. We were on the flat field which was flat and did not get waterlogged even though we had some heavy rain.

Our second stay here (5 nights - could stay longer), lots of improvements since 2011.
Reception is nicely organised now and you get a proper friendly welcome with a map and brochure! Lots of leaflets for local attractions etc. For the first time we found out about Smuggler's Inn (gorgeous walk and pub), Spice Inn (nice walk to local pub food or fish and chips) Durdle Door (must-see) and Weymouth bike hire, Splashdown water slide park in Poole (but don't bother - massive queues, too expensive, slides too tame or too scary but all too short) etc. Map helps you choose your field.
We chose Beach Field again, but higher up this time. Quite slopey so we had to wedge bricks under our table to stop things sliding off! Interesting after a couple of beers. Beach field is windy too but worth it for the views. East Field is big, flat and full of kids playing together all day and night which is great if that's what you want.
New bigger hay barn (covered) and new separate hay bale area which my son loved! Great place to pick up firewood too. Again, building the campfire every night made our holiday perfect. We managed to grab the hay bale truck this time (can it come at more regular/predictable times please?) and bought 3. I think we were lucky though as the truck ran out halfway round the field. Bales are great so please offer more. They were perfect round the campfire. Stuff memories are made of.
The old hay bale play area has now got pub tables and chairs in it - presumably for having beer / lunch / pizza / ice-cream as it's next to all the food vans. However this area is now covered in goats and pigs (on the tables, on the chairs, all around) and therefore huge piles of poo everywhere. If you didn't put your bag of crisps in one you trod in one. We avoided this area because we didn't want e-coli. Seriously I'm not all that 'Health & Safety' but this area is a bad bad mistake. Don't encourage eating / drinking / sitting where the farm animals are!
The Farm's power supply did not fail this time (yey) so we could get cash, pay by card, get cold drinks, dairy food etc. Bakery was better than ever - honey bread still warm from the oven - fab fab fab but queues unless you go early. Pizza van queues far too long we didn't bother. Ice cream good and tonnes more flavours but surly service sometimes. I'd love it if you could get a decent coffee (not just a polystyrene Nescafe) somewhere while you're queuing but please don't turn it into Costa.
Hot water for washing up sinks in each field is a new addition - thank you. Showers were as warm, clean and lovely as any shower I've ever had. And no queues at all. Compost loos were amazing - though take your own loo roll in the morning. ;-<
I love Eweleaze. It never feels over-crowded and I can't understand why! Stay away and leave it for us! (joking)

As someone who had only been camping once before I was a little worried after booking this campsite and reading some reviews. However I have just returned back from 5 nights with my boyfriend and friends and loved it.
The reason we booked was due to the fact that you book per person not per tent, making it very easy for a group booking, especially booking a few months in advance when your not sure hows going to have tents etc, also doesn't mean one persons in charge of paying and have to collect money back.
There definitely was a very strong group feel to the campsite with very few families, you could see why as there are no pitches, so the layout for the majority of the campsite was a few (or more) tents all pitched in a circle around a Gazebo) this was great for us, though you could see a problem for families, and we did feel it would have been better to have family and group fields. The family net to our group were not to happy we had pitched next to them, and where very quick to point out they had young children, and then went down to reception and came back informing us that the campsite recommends you leave 8 meters between 'pitches' we were quite upset that we felt we were being told off for something we hadn't been told, we had pitched in the only room we could find for 4 tents, and felt it would have been far better if the campsite had actually told everyone this on arrival.
The facilities were very mixed. The compost loos did smell, there was no denying it, but they were kept clean, and there was always loo-roll, you just might want to take hand sanitisor with you! The showers were very clean, and nice big cubicles, unfortunately no separate changing area and temperature/pressure did vary quite a bit. We never had hot water at the washing up sinks, though they were solar-heated, this didn't bother us until the night we cooked chicken. The drinking water taps were good and lots were spread around the field, but some could have done with wooden slates on the floor to stop the bog like ground, wellies definitely needed.
The best part of the campsite was the farm yard, not only were the animals very cute (if not a bit bullish (the goats) and a slight risk of being weed/pooed on (from the cow)) but there were amazing food outlets around the edge and a great farm shop. This meant when it rained you could just go down and buy something warm to eat, and your bread in the morning without having to try and cook in the rain.
Unfortunately something really needs to be done about the track, it is pretty bad, especially in the rain or at busy times, it really is not safe, and should definitely be manned. (This added to the love of the warm food from the farm yard as not only could you not cook in the rain you couldn't get off the campsite. )
We pitched o top field, because we wanted to be near the beach but have our car, we pitched at first in the only space we could find, on the top of the hill when you came in, but after loosing a Gazebo to the wind we moved to the bottom of the field, were we actually had a bit more space and managed to have camp fires which was lovely, but definitely be prepared for the wind, it is a very open campsite, with no trees really to break it up, there were a lot of left tents etc that were broken, we definitely got away lightly so only take very sturdy tents and pack the wind breakers!
The beach was definitely a pebble beach, not shingled as stated on the website, but access was fine to get down.
Defiantly a great campsite though, just need a relaxed attitude:)

We stayed for 14 nights (6th-20th August) and this was our second visit. We love it and I will try not to repeat many of the comments made by other reviewers. However here are a few points and tips to consider for those who do not know the site.
There are many fields to set-up in and in my experience you are better to park up first and walk around to find a suitable place for your unit. Many people drive around and you get a much better perspective if you walk around.
We were in the Beach Field this year. Lovely views facing the sea but people should note this is a sloping field and can suffer quite badly from gusting winds - tents and gazebo's must be robust. Both tents either side of us (one a beautiful Bell tent) suffered severe damage one night (our neighbours had a 44 mile round trip to but a new tent). The Bell tent people who had also lost a gazebo on their first night had to tearfully give up and go home - but the campsite staff were very helpful and even gave them their money back for the unused nights.
The flattish bit to the bottom of the adjoining Point Field attracts standing water after heavy rain. This can be soggy under your ground sheet and outside your tent and make for a rather muddy walk to the toilets or beach. The far corner of this field is flat and a bit more sheltered and has views towards Weymouth - but is relatively far from the shop/yard/showers.
Top Field where we stayed in 2011 is flatter but can get the brunt of the wind coming off the terrain to the north.
In my opinion East Field behind the car park is quite flat and offers more shelter. Flat Field looks also more flat and is much more quiet.
Other tips. Try to avoid the shop at 6 pm as it is very busy. The pizza's on sale are excellent but are rather small and quite expensive - more child's sizes than adults.
Ordering food and getting bread at peak times can be rather chaotic so if arriving after a long drive it might be an idea to bring some ready to eat food in with you for that first night. Catering and the shop closes at 9 pm.
My key recommendation is to carefully think about where you will set yourself up on the site and make sure your gear is suitable for the environment. Do not bother bringing cheap gazebo's as they will only cause you grief and usually in the middle of the night!

Great site with splendid views!
Would go back if it wasn't for the access track that in the end cost us a new exhaust.
The animals are great, the fresh bread, pizza and ice cream delicious. It also has wine, ciders and organic products including Quorn for the veggies. What it doesn't have is real coffee.
Also to move the tent after the first night when a huge party with campavans and six dogs settle in just behind us.
The showers are great and the toilets need some getting used to. In the end it's a farm, not a campsite.

Amazing campsite,
I must agree with the previous reviews, the steep decent into the campsite is daunting especially when in a VW polo. Ensure that your breaks works and you have good tyres and you will not have a problem. The view down (minus the drivers) is amazing!
The facilities are amazing, great shop, take aways, fresh bread, ice cream. Unless you run out of cigarettes you never need to leave.
There is a mini bus to Weymouth which runs regularly and they have very helpful and happy drivers, helping those with disabilities, children, animals and sunburnt passengers.
The compost toilets are great, they are stocked up with toilet rolls regularly, and the bark is topped up too. (They didn't smell).
The showers are good too, almost too good, especially at peak times, however in true camper style no one stayed in too long.
There are plenty of farm animals to entertain children, or vice versa.
Biggest bonus, the campfires, hay bales, the view of the sea and the diving platform (Many bellyflops were witnessed.
We took a first time camper and we struck gold, she wants to go camping again!
Definitely worth their place in The Cool Camping book

This was our first time camping with the kids (and a very long time since we had done it ourselves)!
On entering the road down to the site we were greeted with absolutely stunning views of the sea. It really is a lovely location. The downside was the one track road in and out of the campsite as there is not a lot of room for cars to get past each other and causes gridlock.
The campsite has many compost toilets which are maintained and cleaned regularly (not sure how long it is until they are emptied). They could do with a few more sinks around the site though as people use these for washing hands as well as washing up etc so there are often queues.
The showers were hot when I used them so all fine!
The only thing I did not like was the fact that because there are no 'set' pitches, some of our camping neighbours pitched pretty much on top of us and took over a bit. Other than that, there are lots of places to pitch. Some fields allow cars and some don't (but you can still drop things off with the car).
The shop and bakery etc were very useful and stocked well. There are lots of animals wondering around so not sure how hygienic that is! The kids had a wonderful time and a proper 'camping' experience. I would definitely return. It is a very busy campsite, so probably not everyone's choice! We had a fab time overall!
