Great location for walking into Alnwick (approx. 15 mins). Facilities were clean and very good.
Short drives to great beaches made the location ideal for exploring the area.
We didn't use the clubhouse as there were private events on both nights we were staying.
Site rules for campers state no loud music after 10pm however both events at the clubhouse went on well past this time and were noisy. Not so much of an issue for us however check before you book if you want a quiet night over the weekend.

This is a relatively informal site: a few pitches, some with EHU, located alongside the rugby pitches.
The site is peaceful and quiet (apart for distant traffic noise from the A1) and offers adequate toilet and washing facilities in the clubhouse (2 toilets, 2 washbasins, 4 showers and large changing area each for male and female). These were kept spotlessly clean during my stay and are open 24 hours a day (except during cleaning).
The clubhouse bar is open a few nights a week and serves a range of drinks with indoor and outdoor seating areas.
Alnwick town centre is an easy 20 minute walk and there are lots of bars and restaurants etc. There. A co-op is 10 minutes walk and bigger supermarkets in the town. A really nice spot as a base in this area.
Nothing to dislike unless you want a big site with lots of facilities.

Stayed 1 night with EHU on hard standing.
Water, toilets, showers, washing up area. Basic but clean and no complaints.
20 mins walk to town centre, 5 mins to bus stop, shops 5 mins walk.
Friendly communication.

Good location 20min walk to town, easily accessible from A1,
We stayed one night with ehu, payment was in an honesty box,
Showers and toilets very clean and showers were nice and hot.
The bar at the club house is open every night except Mondays, as we stayed on a Monday night we can't comment on the club bar.
Will stay again if in the area.

Great stopover for Alnwick castle and gardens and just off the A1.
Full facilities for motorhomes.
Toilets and showers too.
Close to supermarkets for a restock.
Speedy response and clear instructions from the rugby club when enquiring.

What a fantastic site. We were a bit apprehensive as usually book sites with more facilities, etc. However, this site was perfect for us. It was central and just a 15/20 minute walk to restaurants and the castle.
There was plenty of space, basic but super facilities that were clean and tidy. The showers were lovely and hot and powerful. The facilities are in the rugby club building and included toilets, sinks, large communal (single-sex) changing areas and showers (with curtains).
My children were allowed to play on their bikes on the rugby field (this keeps them happy for hours/days 🤣)! They had oodles of open, safe, car-free space to play in. Absolutely perfect for them!
On Tuesday evening there was training on the field so we got to watch that while having a drink in the club house. The bar is lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful.
The only negative is the little playground. We were not expecting one so it was no problem to us and our kids did have a little play in it with no issues. However, it was in need of some TLC so for some people with little kids, this might be a disappointment/problem.
Would definitely stay here again!

I love going here
As a family of teenagers and a 1 year old we found plenty do while here and just loved the peace and quiet of the site
All the staff were friendly and helpful and the little one loved his freedom of being able be outside and running around on the field and as we loved it that much we are going back in May next year to see some of the things we did not do this time round

If you want somewhere a bit different and good value then the Alnwick rugby club is that.
You park around the edge of the two practice pitches, so both hard standing (quite a lot of stones as it continues from the car park) and grass with and without EHU. It can also take larger vehicles in the car park.
The facilities are the rugby clubs changing rooms, so communal but with private showers which were hot. The facilities were very clean.
There is a bar open on 5 evenings and you either pay for your pitch in there or there is an honesty box for cash just inside by the changing rooms.
You are about 10 minutes walk into Alnwick town, and 20 from the castle. There is a Sainsbury and Marks and Spencer food hall 5 minutes away. Plus Turnbull’s which is a high class deli and butchers next to M&S.
This site is a great base for exploring Alnwick and the surrounding area, but not for those who like to sit and look at the view, (though we did like watching rugby practice) as there isn’t one. Would recommend Cragside, Treehouse restaurant and Barter Books for looking at and they have a great coffee shop.
We would stay again, and would recommend this site, as it’s not far off the A1 it’s also good for an overnight stop if travelling on to somewhere else.

Ease of booking and a text a few days before to tell us where our pitch was, rules on bbqs, arrival and departure times.
Nice big pitches with our name/ number of nights, toilet and shower facilities were open all day and night.
Friendly and helpful bar staff.
Lovely big conservatory attached to the clubhouse so we could sit outside undercover with our dog
Wonderful location for Lindisfarne/ Holy island and Bamburgh.
We will certainly be back
