We were visiting Alnwick for a concert at the Playhouse and stayed overnight at Alnwick Rugby Club.
There is a notice beside the campsite toilets with instructions. As there were no staff around when we arrived we put our money in the honesty box and texted the number given. It’s all very straightforward.
The toilets and showers are clean and our overnight stay was very quiet.
I would definitely stay here again.

Good site and quiet but close to town. Did not use shower but toilets look OK.
Was initially given very small space. Due to neighbours not giving enough space. But spoke to bar staff- owner was given better pitch with much more space. Need to mark pitches to avoid this.
Lastly toilet waste down a man hole. Not ideal. And cost has went up £25 per night. Needs investment.

Made very welcome by the lady behind the bar, we had emailed and booked just told to find any electric hook up pitch up by the hedge.
Water, waste etc pointed out, also showers and toilets.
Settled in and then into club for drinks made very welcome by locals a good chat with all.
Fish and chips 5 min walk away excellent as well.
£25 Per night good value and also helping Rugby Club.

This is a really great place to stay! Very basic facilities but clean and cheap. It’s so great to see a rugby club so well frequented!
The bar was heaving, in a good way, and we even watched some rugby training.
Friendly staff, hookup and really easy access to great bike riding, which is what we came for. If you want posh and upmarket, it’s not for you, but a clean campsite that gives you all you need and lovely north eastern hospitality-you’re well in!

This is such a handy stop-over near the A1.
Super town and castle to explore, within easy walking distance, as are the shops.
Wash block clean, spacious pitches, booking team friendly and helpful.
We'll use it again!

A good site close to the A1. Nice and quiet.
It has good facilities and is good to use as a base to explore the area.
Lots of shops nearby.
The only thing wrong is that’s it’s on a slope.
I’ll use again if I’m passing through.

We had a great couple of nights camping over the August Bank Holiday.
There was plenty of space with the tents and caravans set up around the edges of the ground, leaving the rest free for people to enjoy playing games etc if they wished.
The toilet and shower facilities were part of the rugby club's facilities, so more of a leisure centre standard. This was much better than some of the other campsites facilities I have stayed at before and I looked forward to a shower rather than dreading them! Nice and warm too.
There was also warm water to wash up and plenty of recycling bins.
It was also nice to have the option of a bar and park on site and we used both.
Alnwick centre was a 10-15 min walk, as well as Sainsburys and Starbucks (and other shops / leisure centre too).
We were with a large group and possibly the group that some campers would hate if they don't like music / people staying up late talking. However we were put together out of the way and didn't receive any complaints so hopefully others weren't disturbed by us.
If there were other large groups I didn't notice so I feel the set up of having pitches around the perimeter helps this. For example, the pitches over the other sides were quite far away from us.
We all had a great time and have said we would love to go again next year.
