Excellent location with stunning views across the fells, particularly Blencathra, Skiddaw, Clough Head and Great Dodd.

Onsite Reception, Toilet Block, Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer Room, Common Room, Communal Area with toaster and kettles, TV and fridge.

Site accommodates static caravans, mobile caravans, tents, pods, log cabin etc.

There a good sized play area for the kids and small river/stream running through site. Site does provide fire pits and wood at small cost.

Showers are lovely and hot, clean & well provided toilet facilities. Our 2nd visit in a month.

Will definitely be returning soon.

I received a warm welcome from the team here when they opened again, just as we were allowed to travel once more.

No facilities open as per regulations but I was made aware of this and that I would need to be able to rely on my own (which I did).

Having said all this, castlerigg Farm Campsite has to be my very favourite Lakeland site.

Beautiful views in all directions, plenty of space, EHU, water, MH grey waste driveover and chemical toilet emptying facilities. There was a small shop on site too, though I didn’t use it.

The most fabulous walks straight from the site, though be aware that it’s a an uphill walk back up from Keswick if you head out that way.

Loved the location and how quiet and peaceful it was. Nice friendly staff.

It wasn't very busy but during peak times they still enforce plenty of space between pitches with is great. Also they allow fires.

Will be back again and again

Great views and a nice well kept site.

Obviously with the Covid situation I cannot comment on the facilities,

But we would return here to do more walking in the area.

First visit since the facility update. WOW what a change. Despite the current restrictions with some of them being closed they are really great.

We only stayed one night whilst passing by, but we will return soon.

New, to us, drive over grey water disposal point & water fill point.

Great shower & toilet block, didn't use the shop but looked well stocked.

Liked the no contact book in system, making the best of the current situation.

Good site. Good facility block fairly new by the look of it showers and toilets spotless.

Staff very friendly and helpful.

Lovely 20min walk downhill into Keswick.

Only downside personally was no level hardstanding serviced pitches.

Visited this site many times and since they upgraded their facilities this is one of the best sites in the area. The new shower and toilet block is very spacious and has private wash cubicles as well as hairdryers and sockets for hair appliances.

Nice big dish washing room and a large inside area where visitors can cook and sit inside to eat their own food but due to Covid this room wasn’t open while we were there. Spacious hard standing pitches with fantastic views and well kept grounds.

As always the staff were friendly, helpful and informative about the new rules for Covid and everything was well organised. We were lucky to enjoy some amazing sunsets and the large dog walk area and dog shower are great and best of all no charge for dogs.

Well worth a visit.

A wonderful stay at this site. Staff were friendly and helpful with a relaxed atmosphere, a very well run site where we felt secure with their Covid procedures.

The facilities were spotless with very spacious modern toilets and showers. The views from this site are fantastic, we were lucky with the weather and the sunsets over the mountains were something we will remember for a long time to come.

There was no charge for awnings or dogs and they have a large dog walk area and there was even a shower specifically for the dogs. We particularly liked their rule of no noise after 10. 30pm and we will definitely return in the next couple of months as we were told they are open all year.

Highly recommended site.

 Great location with brilliant views.

Facilities modern and recently updated but showers closed during Covid.

Rather regimented; lots of rules abd regulations. Odd approach as I was a dole camper!

£14 for 1 person tent.

This was our first motorhome holiday, we found the site easily, it was clean as were the facilities and so peaceful.

An ideal base from which to explore The Lakes. On site team really helpful!
