This is a brilliant site, with stunning views across Derwentwater and the local mountains.
Modern and immaculate facilities are available, as well as a cafe, pizza van and day room.
Nice little bar across the road - the Crag Bar at the Heights Hotel.
1. 5 mile downhill walk into Keswick, but a bus also stops at the end of the lane, with services north and south to the main places in the Lake District.

Excellent campsite, in a lovely location only about a mile and a half from the centre of Keswick.
There's a bus stop at the bottom of the lane that leads to the campsite, where there's a regular 555 bus into Keswick.
The facilities on site are excellent; the toilets and showers are the best I've ever seen on a campsite.
We were in a tent with an electric hookup, and there was a generous amount of space for us.
Highly recommended, hard to fault it - we couldn't.

Excellent campsite, views are fabulous,
Very efficient service, facilities very good,
Loads of fells direct from campsite, or just walk into keswick.
Cannot fault it really, hard to go elsewhere in keswick area.

What is there not to like? Nothing.
This is one of the best sites we have ever stayed in.
Immaculate, modern toilets and showers.
Washing up room with loads of sinks.
Laundry room.
Day room with dining table so you can eat if the weather is bad.
Dog shower.
Dog walk.
Multiple CDP
Fresh water, grey disposable.
Local bar does Vegan food & there is a van doing various meal themes each night.
( pizza, noodles, Greek etc)
Highly recommended site.
Bus stop to Kesick where you can do everything, shop, eat etc. Or Kendall - which goes to Ambleside, windermere and other tourist sites.

Lovely view easy to get to Keswick on foot or by car, great shower block and shop on site.
Some pitches on a slope but plenty space between.
Could have a few more water points but not a put off

Just outside the main town, this grass site has a wonderful view of the fells. Tents and campers on one field, motor homes and caravans separated on another field.
Sloping site for tents and many pitches with EHU. Our tent was a good walk down the slope to the facilities and dishwashing.
Once there, showers, dishwashing facility had very hot water. Hairdryers, toasters, microwave, kettle by coin tokens if needed. Small shop for essentials.
Campers sitting room. Freezing facility for small donation to air ambulance. Helpful reception.
Weather wasn’t good for us, but you take what comes.
Would we go again - yes.

Lovely views from this site and facilities were spacious and modern. The reception experience was basic, it could have been more welcoming and informative.
The taps in the washing up area were a pain, they delivered water for no more than 3 seconds per press, but there were lots of sinks and a dayroom with food prep facilities for the tent campers.
We used the footpath through the woods to get into Keswick but it was rough underfoot and steep in places, a few slips but thankfully no injuries.
Alternatively there is a good bus service at the end of the lane approach.

An amazing site, well maintained and well managed by the staff.
Perfect location for a wander into Keswick or a hike over Latrigg or Walla Crag.
Brand new facilities back in 2019.
Definitely worth a visit for a peaceful break away!
